Chapter Three: Where’d She Go?
Jackie was the first to find out. A frequent sufferer of nightmares, it awoke in the middle of the night.
She had to wait until the dogs slowed. To get out before was asking to be left alone in the dark, cold woods. Once they did, she hopped out of her carriage, and rushed to their mother’s.
“Mama! Wake up! Juno!”
“What’s the matter, honey?”
“Kimi’s gone again!”
“What?! Oh, Korowa! We have to find her!”
“We need to think about where she could be. We don't know where she is,” Juno said, “Are there any patterns that we can see?”
“She went to you, then us.”
“Do we know anyone else who can teleport?” Juno asked
“Ulet and Lirret”
“Lirret went missing fourteen years ago, right?”
“Two weeks after Jaimie was born.”
“I noticed she has the same eyes as Lirret. Is it possible…”
Kimi woke up in a dark forest, again. Her hands darted to her stomach. She felt sick.
She stumbled past trees, her vision getting blurrier and blurrier with each step.
“Hey! Are you okay?!” someone said. Kimi couldn’t make out their face.
Kimi grumbled. And then vomited. And passed out.
“I think our best shot is to go to the Gelpie Territory. If she’s there, we’ll find her. If she’s not, we’ll have more people to look for her.
“Is she alright?” someone asked.
“We need to find her,” Juno instructed
