Toshinori sits on the couch, staring of into to space. I wave my hand infront of him, getting no response I lightly tap the skinny guy snapping him out of his thoughts. I frown, I've never seen Toshinori like this and it's worrying.

"Sorry about that Tsukauchi, I was just thinking about something." Toshi says.

"What could you possibly be thinking about that you were so lost in thought." I ask.

He looks at me his fellings of distress clearly evident on his face. He's silent for a while before finally talking again. 

"I think I broke a child."

"Okay and you said all of this to him why."

"I was anxious okay, my time limit was up and I just accidentally revealed my secret, and I thought it would be best to tell him the truth."

I sigh. Out of all the things I expected Toshinori to have said this is not one of them.

"Look I understand why you said it but your the number one hero and you can't just say stuff like that. People look up to you so it's your job to encourage them not crush their dreams."

"So what, I was meant to lie to him and tell him he could be a hero." I sigh once more.

"No that would be just as bad. He seems like the type to not care about his own well-being so things could end badly with him."

"Then what exactly was I ment to say." Toshi says looking desperate. "If I shouldn't have told him no and I couldn't have told him yes what else could I possibly say."

"Explaining your injury was unavoidable and that should have been enough to make him think again, but that kid has probably been bullied and discriminated against his whole life. You straight up telling him no will probably have huge reprocautions."

"I didn't think about that." Toshinori says as a look of guilt overtakes his face.

I sigh. "Yeah I can tell. Things are different from when you were back in school you know, that kid must have had it rough and you telling him no will only make everything rougher. It's not like he couldn't be a hero anyway, Eraserhead fights quirkless doesn't he."

"But his quirk means his opponent is quirkless too."

"Not against mutant types it doesn't. Seriously Toshinori power isn't everything, you were quirkless once too you know." Guilt spreads across the hero's face and I sigh once more. "Why don't you go look for the kid and apologise, it's not impossible for him to become a hero and you need to tell him that before something that you'll regret for the rest of your life happens."

"Yeah okay I'll do that." The hero forces a smile. There's no more I can do about this, I've said all that I could have about the situation so I change the subject.

"How has finding a successor been for you?"

A few months have passed now since my encounter with All might and quite a lot has happened. I went to go and find Stain again about a month ago and he agreed to train me. I also kept cleaning the beach with Hitoshi-kun and we've gotten closer. I continued watching over my mother every once in a while but accidently ended up having a conversation with her. 

The UA entrance exams are coming up soon which means our plans to kill All Might are coming up soon as well, that's gotten me busy. I've been part of the league for quite a while now and they all feel like family to me, Mustard too I guess.

I made my way to the beach running as fast as I could through the streets of Musutafu, apologising to the people I collided with as I went. Finally arriving at the beach I saw that Shinso-kun was already there so I ran up to him.

Losing my balance and stumbling I nearly fell to the floor when I felt a pair of suprisingly muscular arms preventing me from hitting the ground. I looked up to see Shinso-kun holding me upright. I blushed, embarrassed at my clumsiness and apologised.

"Jeez Hisui did you really want to see me so badly that you ran all the way here." My cheeks reddened as I looked down in a futile attempt to hide my face.

"S-sorry." I stammered out and Shinso just laughed.

Letting go of me he made his way to that days section of rubbish to be cleared." I was just joking with you." He said. "Come on let's start cleaning."

"Wait a sec I finally got a new phone." I told him jumping up and down in excitement.

"It's about damn time, no wonder you were running." He said as he walked back up to me, he smirked at the blush that started to creep across my face once again. " Give me your phone let me type in my number." He said holding his hand out. 

I did as he said and he typed in his number then sent himself a text. Giving me back my phone I inspected the number to find the name of his contact 'Hitoshi'.

"Um, you wrote Hitoshi for your contact name." I told him.

"I know." He said as he adds me to his contacts.

"Um, so does that mean..."

He nodded. "I already call you by your first name right and we've known each other for long enough now." He looked up from his phone to look over at me, "Okay I get your happy but could you stop twinkling."

Walking down the road I'm stopped by a voice calling out my name, except it wasn't my fake name it was my real one. I turned around to find my mum running towards me, I hadn't even noticed she was around here or I wouldn't have been so out in the open. It was to late to escape now though. My mum stopped realising that I'm not the Izuku she knows.

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry." she said. "For a second I thought you were my son, you look so much like him." I could hear the sadness in her voice and it broke my heart.

"Sorry to disappoint you." I said changing my voice slightly.

"No no it's fine, it's my fault. My son is dead so obviously it wouldn't have been you." I could see the tears prickling her eyes and it took everything I had just for me not to burst out crying.

"I'm sorry for your loss but I really need to get going." I told her trying to escape.

"Oh of course, I'm sorry but do u think you could tell me your name first."

"Hisui." I told her and she smiled.

"Nice to meet you Hisui, you can go now." I bowed before turning my back to her and about to take my leave.

I stopped turning to face her once more and with a sad smile on my face I told her, "I'm sure your son misses you very much wherever he is and regrets making you upset, so keep smiling okay.  Your son is in a better place and I'm sure he's happy."

My mother smiled as I left, fully aware of how she hadn't moved from her spot yet. I made it to a random alleyway where I went and hid before all the tears I was holding back could start to spill out in public. Even though I went to see her nearly every week I didn't understand how much I actually missed her till I spoke to her one more time. I knew that could probably never happen again but I was glad I got to talk to her one last time and tell her how I felt. Pushing myself of the wall I made my way out of the alleyway and continued on my way.

Walking into the abandoned building I take off my bag and get right into stretching. Every eight seconds I change stretches, not even having to count or think about it anymore based off of pure muscle memory. I'm nearing the end of my stretches and like always Stain walks in, knives on back and ready to train me.

Stain has helped me a lot and he's able to teach me more useful things than Dabi. Stain relies on parkour and sneaking up on his opponent at night while Dabi goes straight at it and is able to use the smallest amount of martial arts. Learning both has been fun but isn't entirely helpful since I don't have a quirk. Both of their movements revolve around their quirk but since I don't have one there's a lot of gaps in my fighting style.

Stain takes out a knife from his back and throws it barely an inch from my cheek landing on the wall behind me. He then takes out another and throws it over to me meaning that we're probably doing throwing practice. I catch it and wordlessly aim for the red spot on the wall. 

I miss by about three inches, I go get the knife back then stand at the exact same spot as before getting ready to throw again. I aim once more and just as I'm about to throw i feel a hand resting on my shoulder as the other slightly moves my arm. They move and I throw the knife once more this time hitting it right on target.

I go over and grab the knife like before knowing how annoyed Stain can get when I get excited over a small achievement. Walking back to the same spot with the knife in my hand I then try to replicate the position stain had put me in.

"Think of it like a beam of light." I flinch not expecting him to speak so suddenly.

"A beam of light?" I ask.

He nods. "You like science and all that right, so you know that light will bounce off in the same exact angle that it hits an object with." I nod and then he continues, "So just picture the knife as a beam of light, figure out what angle you need to throw at for it to hit. You're able to throw the knife perfectly straight which is hard for most people to do, so all you need to do now is figure out the correct angle to throw at."

He steps back before motioning for me to go. I get back into position and move my hand to what I think is the correct angle, I throw and just like when Stain had helped me I hit the target.

A small smile crawls across my lips before settling down as I go to get the knife once more. I continue throwing the knife for about an hour, switching where I stand after every ten throws.

Sitting down now I grab a sandwich from my bag, Stain sits opposite me cleaning his knives while I eat and like always we're in awkward silence. As if reading my mind my phone buzzes and I go over to see who it is.

It's a text from Hitoshi-kun even though he should still be in school. I open my phone anyway to see what he wants.

Hitoshi(2:15): I'm so bored, pls tell me your having just as miserable a time as I am

Hisui(2:17): Are you seriously texting during class

Hitoshi(2:17): It's fine the teacher is asleep anyway 

Hisui(2:18): Are they even allowed to do that

Hitoshi(2:18): Doubt it but I ain't complaining 

Hitoshi(2:18): Your so lucky yk I wish I was homeschooled 

Hisui(2:19): Its not that great yk, it's super awkward right now

Hitoshi(2:20): Better than being surrounded by dozens of people who hate you

Hisui(2:20): I get how you feel 

Hitoshi(2:21): How could anyone hate you, your literally a ball of sunshine 

Hisui(2:21); You'd be surprised 

Hitoshi(2:21): My teacher's waking up gotta go, we'll continue this conversation later 

Hisui(2:21): Ok then, see u later 

I put down my phone after talking to Hitoshi-kun to see Stain starting at me. He's put all his blades back so I think he's been watching me for a while. He won't look away and it's making me uncomfortable.

After a little while that feels like hours he asks, "Was that the league?"

I shake my head. "It was my friend, we've been cleaning Takoba Municipal Beach together for a while now."

Stain nods and takes another few seconds before talking again. "Is he also doing it to train."

"Yeah, he wants to be a hero but is discriminated against for having a 'villainous' quirk."

"What kind of quirk does he have?" He asks.

"Brainwashing." He nods and doesn't say anything else for another five minutes.

It's awkward once again so I use the silence to quickly finish my sandwich. Once I finish that's when he decides to talk once more.

"Its gonna be hard to pass an entrance exam without an emitter or mutation quirk."

"That's why I'm helping him." I tell him.

"Does he know who you really are though." I shake my head.

"But he knows I'm quirkless." I say as Stain stands up and I scramble to do the same.

"That's a friend you should try your best to keep then."

"That's why I'm gonna make sure he passes the UA entrance exam no matter what."

"Admirable." He positions a Teddy bear on top of a drawer and moves it into the middle of the room. "I wonder how long he'll stay your friend once he finds out." Stain says this under his breath but I hear him clearly.

I'm aware that Hitoshi-kun probably won't stay my friend when he finds out but that's fine. I'm helping him because I want to, not so he can stay friends with me. If he never wants to talk to me again I would fully understand, I have no right to friends anyway.

Stain motions for me to come over so pushing those thoughts to the back of my mind I take the knife that Stain is holding out to me and get to work once again.
