After some dramas and episodes, mainly from his male beautiful mother, Zhan Chen finally able to grasp his current reality. Since he had 'amnesia' according to his parents, he had been introduced to the Bai Family and this empire.

This empire was currently being ruled by Xian Dynasty. The Emperor of Xian Dynasty, Emperor Xian Long Wei was crowned when he was 18 years old after the previous Emperor died in a war. In these 5 years under the jurisdiction of the current Emperor Xian, the entire empire prospered even more and citizens lived in peace.

His father, General Bai Jian Yu, was the trusted aid of the Emperor. He commanded more than half of the army troops in the country. The rest of the amount was the Imperial Guard that was specialised in protecting the emperor. Because of his previous excellent performance during the wars (making the existence of Xian Dynasty possible), he was granted his own land and men by the emperor.

His male mother, Bai Xiu Ying, was the only child of Prime Minister Li Huizhong. The influence of the Prime Minister was not less than his father. So, when the two married, one could say that the combination of these two powerful families could topple even the emperor if they ever decided to rebel.

Fortunately, they were not.

And him the only child of Bai couple was named Bai Zhan Chen. He turned eighteen years old this year. He was at the prime age of marriage.

When Bai Zhan Chen was eleven, he was kidnapped by some people who wanted to threaten his father into rebel against the emperor. After hearing this lots of information, Zhan Chen felt very blessed to be their child, however, he felt bad to the original Bai Zhan Chen. He didn't know what happen to the original but perhaps he was happy somewhere.

This whole thing about him suddenly thrown into some weird ancient world was still a mystery and his head hurt just thinking about it.

Enough about that, he was happy that his name remained the same although his surname did change from Fu to Bai. And he was ecstatic to finally have parents ba!

But one question remained...

Looking up at his male mother, Zhan Chen asked uncertainly, "Are you really my birth mother?"

Bai Xiu Ying gasped and hugged his child to his bosom. "Oh, Xiao Chen. I'm your birth mother. I carried you in my womb for ten months and when I heard your cries, I was so happy that I cried along with you."

Oh, so his mother was that kind of person. A hermaphrodite. That explained his feminine trait. Zhan Chen had no qualm about male giving birth and he never looked down on any gay, lesbian, or any transgender. For him as long as people were not bad to him then he wouldn't hate them. Lightly, pushing his mother who again kept smothering him, Zhan Chen smiled shyly as he tried to curry a favor. "Mother, can I go out?" When he saw his mother's furrowed brows, he quickly added, "I want to expl- umm... I mean, I want to be familiar with this place since I've already forgotten about all of these." He looked at his mother teary eyed, "I could not?"

Bai Xiu Ying had been spoiling Xiao Chen since he was a baby. So, when he saw those huge round eyes wetted with tears... He couldn't stand it. "Fine, mother would allow you to go out but I'll accompany you," he saw the boy was smiling and added sternly, "but you're not allowed to stray far from me. Anywhere you want to go, you're not going to be alone. Understand?"

Zhan Chen nodded his head repeatedly and smiled so big that his eyes turned into a crescent shape. "I understand, mother!"

Just like in those ancient Chinese dramas, everything was exactly like what he had watched on television... But, more realistic and lively.

Currently, he and his mother walked along the shopping district in the capital of Xian Dynasty.

Behind them were ten personal guards chosen by his father to protect his dearests. Since, Bai Jian Yu was going to the palace, he couldn't accompany his wife and son. He however had warned his men that if anything ever happened to his family, they would pay it with their heads.

And the guards knew that how cruel the general could be when someone threatened his family.

Just like those rebels who were tortured by Bai Jian Yu himself until they were better dead than alive. After that, they were executed by the previous emperor.

Seeing the ancient China for the first time, Zhan Chen was so excited. He looked around him with a face full of curiosity. He was almost ran around to see the merchants and their merchandise if not for Bai Xiu Ying that kept him on a leash.

Bai Xiu Ying was very content to see his child look so happy and carefree but he couldn't let him go running around. After that incident seven years ago, he would always get worried if he didn't see Zhan Chen in front of his eyes.

After exploring for two hours, Zhan Chen finally was tired and his stomach grumbled in protest. He looked up at his mother and smiled shyly.

Bai Xiu Ying just laughed and held Zhan Chen's arm as they walked side-by-side into a fine and expensive looking teahouse.

The appearance of these two could be said a bit extra with their exquisitely beautiful faces, expensive clothes and two guards standing behind them. The rest of eight guards were left to guard from the outside of the teahouse.

Zhan Chen was wearing a three layered silk Hanfu. The white inner garment, baby blue outer garment embroidered with white lotus and butterflies, and a sheer white jacket that was made of the finest organza fabric. Half of his long hair was pulled up into a twisted braid bun and half was let down naturally, with some stray hair framing his heart shaped face. The only decoration on his head was a sapphire and pearls hair pin that was shaped like butterfly. He had found the style looked too feminine but when he protested, his mother just smiled at him and said it looked perfect.

Meanwhile, Bai Xiu Ying was also wearing a three layered silk Hanfu. Only his was in red color. The outer garment was red silk embroidered with peonies and swallows. The outer jacket was made from sheer scarlet organza fabric. His hair was braided into a flower shape bun. Mutton fat jade hairpin decorated his beautiful hair. A simple makeup adorned his already beautiful face.

Zhan Chen looked around him while his mother ordered their food. He just realised that while looking around that there was not a single woman was spotted. Even during his exploration in the shopping district, there was no woman, only feminine looking men with pretty clothes adorned their lithe built. And some of those effeminate males were accompanied by much more manly men and some of them held some babies or small children.

Frowning, he attracted Bai Xiu Ying's concern. "Xiao Chen, what's the matter? Are you unwell?"

Zhan Chen shook his head. "I'm fine, mother..." he paused and added, "but, why I have never seen a woman. From the shopping district and inside this teahouse as well."

Bai Xiu Ying looked confused as well. "What's woman? Is it a food?"

Zhan Chen shook his head, panic and fear started to come as he looked into Bai Xiu Ying's confused eyes. "A woman with this kind of hourglass body shape and they also give birth to a baby!"

Blinking his eyes, Bai Xiu Ying looked at his ger son with complicated eyes. Where did he learn that foreign word? Nevertheless, "If you mean someone who can give birth, they are called ger. Mother is a ger, so he could give birth to you. Xiao Chen is also a ger, when he's married, he would give birth to a beautiful baby as well."
