This God is Kami's teacher, not one of her parents, in case anyone was wondering. She was not allowed to see her parents because she had to work on being a proper God. Her parents were the only other higher beings that treated her well, but they also did little to go against the rules which prevented them from meeting with their children and they were not able to protect Kami.
I was wondering if I should post this flashback story or not for a long time, but I decided to include it in the main story after all. It is an important part of why Kami is the way she is. There is no light in life without darkness. But soon, Umeko's light shall overshadow the darkness :)
