Saige's POV

I think this was the best I've ever slept.

However, I was woken up to someone's voice.

Cassidy.

I opened my eyes and came face to face with Alpha Davian.

He was awake, and I'd been caught.

I was about to make a run for it but Davian backed away and off the bed.

He didn't hurt me for being in his bed?

After Davian left Cassidy made me eggs and bacon.

Though I don't care much for the yellow part of the eggs, the bacon was the best.

Cassidy made me shower, she showed me how to work the knobs for the water and she even let me shower alone. I didn't have to be watched.

When I got out of the shower I noticed Cassidy had placed a set of clothes on the counter.

They were her workout clothes? Basketball shorts and tshirt, but her underwear had little turtles on them.

It had been a long time since I was able to wear clothes like this.

Cassidy brought me to the Omega house. I made sure to stay next to her, I was afraid someone would try to hurt me or take me if I wandered off.

I listened to alpha Davian talk to a bunch of omega's that were much like myself. I could sense the fear on them.

As Alpha Davian spoke I paid attention to his words.

He was different, he wasn't mean or angry, like I expected him to be. He was welcoming and caring.

He apologized for what we all had gone through.

I found myself drawn to him. I wanted to be near him. He made me feel safe.

When the meeting was over a group of ladies went around the room. I stood next to Cassidy wating for alpha Davian.

When I noticed a woman touch alpha Davian on the arm. I didn't like it. I wanted to be next to him.

I felt the growl in my chest as I glared at her hand.

Alpha Davian turned to look at me and when he'd caught me glaring, I yelped in shame as I hid behind Cassidy.

But no sooner than I hid, did his eyes meet mine.

His gaze made my insides melt.

Davian's POV

"Cassidy aren't you supposed to be somewhere right about now?" I say as I glance at my watch.

"Huh?" She looked at me confused when the light bulb went off for her. "OH SHOOT! Sorry Saige I have have class. Will you be okay with your mate?"

Saige's eyes met mine, he fiddled with the hem of his shirt, his face reddened with a heavy blush.

I had almost thought he'd say no, but the soft nod of his head made my heart leap.

Cassidy gave a kiss to my mates temple and she gave a wave to me and she was out the door.

"I.. Um... Would like to take you shopping for clothes and maybe go out get lunch, but we have one stop to make before we can do that. Are you ok with that?" I asked Saige.

 I wanted to be thorough with Saige. He needed that reassurance, and I was all willing to give it.

I waited for his response, having yet to hear my mates voice.

He gave another nod of his approval and I'd settle for it.

I gave a nudge towards the door and we headed out of the building.

"We're going to walk there so I can familiarize you with our pack. These houses here are for our elites. They are my fighters and protectors." I pointed over the houses that rounded in a cul de sac.

I noticed Saige's heavy breathing and slight run in his step with the attempt to keep up with me. I slowed my stepes and waited for him to catch his breathe.

"The houses on that end of the road are for our beta's and beta families. You see that building over there?" I point at a colorful building in the distance.

Saige looked up at me and gave me a nod.

"That's where we're headed."

Saige followed behind me as we walked up the steps to the colorful building. I always made morning rounds to this building. Never failed, every morning.

"Gooood morning pups!" I shouted as we walked through the front doors.

"Good morning Alpha!" The kids screamed as they ran to me.

 Tackling me to the ground was always the routine! They wanted to show their strength and love as they took down "the big alpha"..

The orphanage. These were children abandoned, neglected, abused, rejected. But they were our future.

"Pups, listen up." I tell them as they all start to settle. "I've brought someone important for you to meet, and as much as you love me, and I love you, I want you to them them as well. This is Saige, your future luna."

Gasps filled the room as all eyes landed on Saige. He stood there fiddling with his fingers.

"Woooow. He's preeeeettyyy." The pups say in unison as they surround Saige. Two of the pups pulled Saige down to better see him.

They were touching his hair and his face.

I held my breathe waiting to see if this was something that Saige was ready for.

And for the first time my heart-strings were fiddled with. There sat Saige with these tiny pups that were revelling with his beauty, with a smile upon his face.

As if he could feel my gaze on his, his eyes met mine, and I smiled like goofy child.

Saige followed me as we left the orphanage. My next stop was to spoil the ever-loving-shit out of my mate.

I would take him to the mall we had on our pack lands.

But halfway to the car, Saige brought my steps to a hault.

"A-Alpha?"

Goddess his voice. My head spun around so fast, Saige jumped.

I walked up to my mate and picked him up under his arms and placed him on the highest object near us.

He let out a light yip of surprise.

I brought my face close to his.

"Davian, my sweet angel. Call me Davian."

"Da-Davian? What's a Luna?" Saige's voice was soft and low.

His eyes sparkled in the days light. One eye the shade of the sky and the other a piercing purple.

They dazed my thoughts.

I smiled at his question.

"The Alpha, me, is the leader of this pack here. His mate, you, are the queen."

"Me! Q-Queen? I-I can't be! I'm not good enough.. to be queen." Saige's voice trailed off, the saddness in his eyes hurt me, and he lowered his head.

"Look at me my angel." I brought my fingers under his chin and lifted his head for his gaze to meet mine.

"You. Are. Everything." Tears welled in his eyes.

"I'm sorry I couldn't find you sooner. I'm sorry that you were hurt. But I will never let anyone hurt you again.

You are strong, and brave, to fight your way through your past and be here today. You are good enough.

I want you. As my mate and as my Luna. But you also have the right to choose. You can reject this. You can reject me."

Saige's eye went wide and tears fell from his eyes. He reached out and grabbed hold of my sleeves.

"No!" Saige shook his head and began to sobs. "I-I Do-don't want.. to re-ject y-you." Saige pleaded between sobs.

I brought my hands up to wipe away his tears.

"It's okay my angel. Calm yourself. I won't ever leave you."

I leaned forward and placed my lips gently on his.

His lips tasting like heaven.

I pulled away after the light kiss.

"Now let's go shop and eat."
