He was sitting in a tree, he wanted to hide. His crimson red eyes scanned over everything in front of him. He looked down to see a boy his age sitting down at the foot of the big tree. He opened a book and started to read. The canopy of trees blocked out the setting sun. The boy leaned on his branch, his black hair flying into his eyes. His too pale skin indicated not being in the sunshine for years.
The boy at the foot of the tree was wearing jeans and a navy blue hoodie. He himself had dark brown hair that resembled coffee grounds. It was disheveled, and it looked like it had never been brushed properly. The boy in the tree couldn’t see his eyes, but he knew they were bright blue, and he knew they were fierce and commanding. While the boy in the tree had jet black hair and crimson red eyes. He was wearing all black - black jeans and a black shirt.
The boy in the tree tried to hide himself from view better. Making a mistake and not quite looking where he was going, he slipped. His foot missed the branch he was trying to go onto by an inch. That inch was enough for him to slide further. He could tell if he did nothing, he would tumble down the tree all the way and land on the boy that sat at the foot of the tree.
Trying to catch himself on a branch, he reached out, and-and missed. He could hear everything at full volume - he wasn’t graceful. Finally, when he stopped hearing sounds he opened his eyes - didn’t even realize he had closed them. He opened his eyes and looked up. He was flat on the grass, it didn’t even hurt that much. Right above him - staring at him - were a pair of blue eyes.
“Ah. Hello, Levi,” the boy who had fallen greeted.
“...What were you doing up there?” Levi seemed mad - he usually was when he saw the other boy.
“...I was trying to hide,” the boy said sheepishly.
“Jason, who were you hiding from? It’s not even a full moon. Were you hiding from the other bloodsuckers? “He paused to hesitantly help Jason up, “I mean, were you spying on us?”
“I’m fine, thanks for asking,” Levi rolled his eyes, “and, no, I wasn’t spying on you. Yes, I was hiding from my clan. Why do you care about me?”
Levi hesitated before responding. “One, I don’t care about you. And two, why were you hiding from your kind?” Levi spoke like it was poison.
“Oh, you better be careful. If someone heard you, they’d think you cared. Also, it’s none of your business why I hide from my clan. Where are your puppies?” Jason put poison into his voice as well.
At the last word, Levi growled, a vibrating coming from deep in his throat. In a flash, about 10 other kids were around him. They were all staring at Jason. Jason, in return, crashed himself. His hands were behind his back, and he dug into his skin. The blood wafted into the air, only he could smell it - and the others. Within seconds he was surrounded by his clan. Levi with his pack. Jason with his Clan. Werewolves versus Vampires.
