As we headed towards the mall, I spoke to Saige about my usual duties around the pack.

Just to let him know that if in fact he wanted to stay home, I wouldn't be there as much.

Didn't seem like Saige liked that very much as he made a pouty face.

I pulled into the mall and shut off the car.

"Hey, my angel." I reach over and stroke his hair.

"We're only going to a few stores here. If anything catches your eye and you want it. Tell me and I'll get it for you okay?"

Saige looks over at me and gives a nod.

As we walked passed the first few stores Saige seemed to be doing okay. I had a few stores in mind that would carry his size. My male and female beta's greeting both of us as we pass. A pup takes off running passed us letting out a high pitched scream sending Saige may way clutching onto my arm.

I felt Saige's sudden fear.

"Hey, my angel. Look at me." Saige looks up at me wide eyed.

"Nobody will hurt you. You're okay, I promise you." I lean down and kiss hiss cheek. Saige immediately reddens.

"Come we're almost there."

I held out my hand for him. Saige looked from my hand back up to me, and slowly placed his tiny hand in mine.

I smile and pull him closer to me. The warmth and sparks from his touch sends my emotions through loops.

Though he's holding my hand walking at my side, it felt like he wanted to be closer so he reached with his other hand and gripped my forearm.

I look down and his and smile.

"You can touch me all you like my little angel." I teased.

We walked into our first store and was immediately greeted by Tammy, one of our beta teens.

"Hi Alpha! What brings you here today?" She smiles widely.

Saige, still gripping on to me let's out a low pup growl. Glaring at Tammy.

I let out a low chuckle.

"Tammy, this is Saige. My mate, your future luna."

"Oh my goddess!" Tammy's eyes widen with surprise.

"Hello my Luna!" Tammy says to Saige with a light bow.

Saige's growling stopped.

"Saige needs a new wardrobe. Please do your best."

"Absolutley Alpha, anything for my luna!" Tammy says with loving eyes at Saige.

"Go my angel. I'll never leave your side." I give a nudge to Saige's shoulder. He looks up at me and slowly let's go of his grip on me. Tammy held out an arm for Saige. Saige looked at me for reasurrance, and I nodded following right behind.

"Okay my luna let's get you sized." Tammy says as she grabs a roll of measuring tape from her apron.

"Lift your arms for me."

Saige lifted his arms as I sat behind them in a lounge chair. I let Tammy do her job. I scrolled through my phone to see if Jacob had any other updates for me on the Rogue center, when I heard music to my ears.

My eyes snapped upward to see Saige giggle and squirm at Tammy as she measured his waist.

I felt the growl in my chest. Wishing it was me that he had laughed for.

Tammy immediately stepped back. Saige's eyes widen. I stood and walked up to Saige from behind.

Leaning over to whisper in his ear.

"Mmm. Your laughter is divine my angel." I turned my head and placed a kiss on his neck before smiling and walking back to my seat. I would think Saige turned the deepest red I've seen yet.

"Continue Tammy."

Saige was finally done picking out clothing, shoes, and I threw pj's and unders in the pile. I walked over with Tammy to the register to ring everything up and pay. I was so focused on what we were doing I hadn't noticed Saige had disappeared.

"Saige?"I called out before the panick started slowly rising. "Saige!?" I yelled a little louder. No response. "Tammy you go that way I'm going this way."

"Yes Alpha!" And we split. I rounded corners and called out for him several times. The panick hit me full force, I couldn't control it.

I rounded another corner and.. there... lay my little mate. Rolling himself, all over a bunch of over sized plushies.

"Tammy! I found him!" I called out for Tammy who was just across the way yelling for her luna.

She ran up to where I stood and paused.

"Alpha that has to be the cutest thing I've ever seen." Tammy says in the most girly high pitched way.

"Tell me about it."

I walked over to Saige and knelt down. "Hey my angel, you gave us quite a scare. We've been looking for you all over."

Saige sat up and looked at me and then at Tammy.

"I-I'm sorry alpha. S-Sunny really likes them." Saige said with the most apologetic look.

"Sunny?" I look at him confused.

"Y-yes alpha. M-My wolf." Saige whispered.

I felt Rain stir inside me and my eyes flickered red for a brief moment.

"Maybe this coming full moon on our pack run Sunny can meet Rain. My wolf is eager to meet him. And please call me Davian. Alpha to other but Davian or mate to you." I smiled and helped Saige up from the plushie pile.

We headed back to the register to grab the bags. Before we fully left I pulled Tammy to the side and told her a secret. Her face beamed with excitement.

I loaded the car and asked Saige if he was hungry. I remembered Cass had mentioned Saige's love for pancakes, so I suggest a local waffle house.

Having lunch with my mate, to me was just another step closer towards accomplishments of getting him out of his shell. Though I know the day will come when he will open up to me enough to speak of his past. I would never push the issue, I would wait for him to be ready.

The ride home was quiet, as Saige had no doubt been exhausted after todays excursion, so he was fast asleep.

When we pulled up to the house Cass was waiting at my door. I smiled, for I knew she was the part of my secret.

I put the car in park and shut the engine off.

Saige slowly opened his eyes to see Cass walking up to his side of the car. He smiled as he watched her get closer. She opened the door for him. His smile melted me.

"Hi cutie! How was shopping!?" She asks with giddyness.

"It was okay. Davian bought me alot of clothes and I had waffles!"

"That sounds great! Let's get these bags inside and I'll help you unpack them. Yeah?"

Saige nods and we both get out of the car. I look over the hood of the car at Cass and she gives me a nod.

My heart does leaps.

I grab most of the bags and head towards the house. Saige and Cass follow right behind.

I set the bags down on the counter and let Cass lead Saige to the guest room.

I watched as he opened the door and let out a high squeak. I bust out rolling in laughter.

Saige must like his gifts.

I walked over as Saige had ran in the room.

Saige threw his body on about 15 different plushies. His purr loud enough for both Cass and I to hear.

"Your idea?" Cass says to me.

"It was the only thing that he wanted the entire time we shopped. So I told Tammy I wanted them all."

I look at Cass from the corner of my eye and smile.

"Look at him Cass, it was worth it and more."

"Alph-" I snapped my head to look at him with one eyebrow raised.

"Davian? You got these for me?" Saige asks in a shy tone.

"I did my angel. For Sunny but mostly for you." I smile.

Saige climbed up on the bed and stood, holding his hand out for me.

I stood, shocked at his request for me, but none-the-less walked over. He leaned and pecked my lips.

My eyes go wide. Rain was going wild. Our mate kissed us.

"Anything for you my angel. Anything."

After making my evening rounds I headed home. I was beat.

I sent Cass home after dinner. I took a shower and I said goodnight to my mate. I was so tired I basically tossed my body in my bed not even making it under the covers.

Sleep took me fast.

Though I couldn't have been asleep long. The strong scent pulled me from my sleep with my eyes snapping open. Saige's scent overpowering everything around me.

I looked down to see Saige purring loudly straddling me on my bed, rubbing his naked body all over me.

"Oh goddess Saige, you're in heat!"
