Market.
Crowded.
Vendors are selling, all sorts of stuffs starting from garlands, morning breakfast, to toys and even wine and special lotus wine. Lotus wine are famous in Taiyang city of The Suns. These special lotus wine, don’t have names, but they are well known as ‘the lotus sun’. it is famous for keeping one healthy and stomach full the whole day, until and unless someone go out of the way and try doing something that can make them hungry in no time.
“master, master! Come see this cloth, its of fine fabric”
“come, come, come and see beautiful mirrors”, the mirrors reflecting the sun and the surrounding clouds, and the shopkeeper looked like he is floating in light. “come and see pretty combs” he continued.
“lily, rose, chrysanthemum, blue bells, come find your taste” a florist.
The first disciple, Tai Taeyang the second disciple, Tai Tai and Lan are out on the market busy looking around. A rugged clothed fortune teller with a crystal ball in her hand, caught Lan’s eyes in an instant. Having being interested in fortune telling and astrology, he runs to the fortune teller. She was sitting on a dark corner of the street, where light couldn’t even escape a pinch. The fortune teller grins under her veil, seeing a customer approaching her.
“master would you like to know your future?” she asks politely.
“umm… no.” Lan, straightly.
“then your past.” Her voice a little creepy and high at this sentence. She didn’t ask him this as a question, but as a statement.
Lan hesitates for a moment before he replies, “maybe”. He is interested in astrology, and he knows how intimidating some fortune tellers can be and how some of them knows what the person before them are thinking. So he didn’t think much.
The fortune teller grins more.
“I see, you are interested in your past. I see.” She lifts her her right hand on top of the crystal ball doing some unknown gestures, which made Lan interested more.
“do you know, you were born illegally.” The fortune teller’s voice deepens as the crystal ball lightens up.
“what?” Lan gasps.
She starts.
The Suns, The Moons, and The Darks lived peacefully together alongside.
The Suns were ruled by the king, Tai Royuan and the head disciple, Tai Qing of The Suns.
The Moon ruled by the king, Yue Yuel.
The Darks were ruled by Hei’an Yamiyo, the king.
The king of The Moon, Yue Yuel had a handsome son, Yue Jin. One day at a gathering Yue Jin and the head disciple of the suns, Tai Qing met. And they fell in love immediately, looking each other in the eye, smiling and holding hands. Yue Jin and Tai Qing were so in love they decided to tell their parents.
“We like each other. We want to marry and have a beautiful married life.” Yue Jin and Tai Qing confesses to their parents.
The sun king, Tai Royuan agrees to their confessing, and felt genuinely happy for his best friend deciding to marry someone so reliable. He never thought his best friend Tai Qing would ever like someone and extend it do a married life. “Wow this is a great news Tai Qing.”
“Great news. Like this, we two kingdoms can enter under one roof called marriage.” Yue Yuel states, showing his evil grin openly, “we can also avoid future conflicts.”
Marriage hah! I always wanted The Suns still be under my feet, now my dear son made it easier. Yue Yuel thought to himself.
“King of the moon what do you thinking? Are you happening to be planning the marriage now only?” Tai Royuan, laughing a bit.
“Hahahahahaha…. no no” Yue Yuel, embarrassed a bit.
The head disciple, Tai Qing and Yue Yuel’s son, Yue Jin got married and had a baby girl. Just like catching a fish in net, Yue Yuel approached The Suns offering to take 60% of their empire as their daughter married his son. His demand was a bit too unexpected to The Suns king, Tai Royuan. Yue Yuel went further and demanded if his offers are not fulfilled, he will start a fight. After a few arguments and small fight, they signed a contract to not start a war and that The Suns give 10% of the empire.
In the meantime, the baby girl was named Yue Luo. she grew up and she met the current head disciple of the sun, Tai Nang. Just like their parents they fell in love and decided to get married. And since The Suns and The Moons were not in a good term, both of their sides asked them to stop seeing each other. But they are lovers, no one can stop them. They still met in private hiding from their parents and all others who are against their relationship. Unfortunately, one night a servant saw them meeting and snitched to Yue Yuel. Again, seeing this as an advantage he took it and started fighting without any warning. It stopped nothing, but destroyed. This time Yue Yuel got another 20% of the empire.
Seeing such destruction, Tai Nang and Yue Luo, the lovers ran away the night of the fight and eloped. Everything was peaceful for 3 years. One evening, Tai Nang and Yue Luo came back with a baby boy in Yue Luo’s arms. He was still not named and was already a week old.
Tai Yuan now grew up to fine man, Tai Ruo is still learning swordsmanship.
Tai Nang and Yue Luo showed up in front of Yue Yuel, and requested him to accept their baby son. Yue Yuel so egoistic, he didn’t accept the innocent baby boy, neither did he look at his face a bit. And threatened to kill. Tai Qing, heard the conversation among the three and hid Tai Nang and Yue Luo in a small room along with the baby boy.
Yue Yuel found out. He sneaked in at night and killed the married couple, unnoticingly leaving the one-week-old baby behind. Making him orphan. Yue Yuel also tried to kill Tai Qing, but he couldn’t because Tai Qing and her husband Yue Jin fled to Taiyang city and let The Suns know of the disaster Yue Yuel planned.
A fight started. The Suns won because they were nicely equipped, unlike the previous time. All The Moons were killed. In the fight, Tai Qing and Yue Jin died. All other Moons common men were kicked into dungeons and kept shut. The Darks interfered in behalf of The Moons, two weeks later. They were wiped away too. Those others were alive were sent to an isolated, dark town. The arks dare not enter other cites after that day.
Later, on the day of fight night, tai yuan went to inspect the place. He found a baby boy wrapped in a bloody towel. He took him to Taiyang city. He and the king of the sun, Tai Royuan named the baby boy ‘Lan’ without any surname, and hid any possible evidence of him and his parents. They hid every detail that he is related to The Suns and The Moons.
The crystal ball dims.
“So did you see, what tragic happened to your family?” the fortune teller’s voice high again. The fortune teller’s neck area began to glow weirdly. Lan noticed it and took a good look at it, to his surprise he sees moon patches.
“WHO ARE YOU?” he shouts at her “A…AND HOW DO YOU KNOW MY PAST?”
Hearing a familiar voice shouting Tai Taeyang and Tai Tai appears, “what is going on Lan?”
“n…no not…nothing” his gaze still on the suspicious fortune teller’
Seeing Lan so tense, Tai Tai looks at the direction of Lan’s eyes and he gets surprised. His eyes widen. He quickly drags Tai Taeyang and Lan, “Ming, Lan let’s get out of here.” “Its not safe in here.”
The fortune teller smirks, “huh, kids todays are so naïve.”
She takes off her ragged clothes. Those moon patches glowing brightly giving away a murderous aura. Eyes stone cold. Smirking lips.
It’s the moon goddess, Guang Mizuki.
