“Tell me sweet brother, what do you remember of your past?” the Alpha prince asked Saige.

“I… I… I can't remember a lot. Just some of my mother.” Saige replied sadly.

“Alpha, I'm going to head back to the summit and check up on things. Good luck here. Your Majesties.” Jacob tells me as he bows towards Saige and the prince with a tease in his tone.

“Sweet brother. Let me help you remember the most cherished memory I hold. We had a field in the back of our home, lined with wild flowers. Every afternoon we would meet under the old oak tree that stood at the far end of the field. I would bring along with me paper, strings and sticks and we would sit there and talk about our day as we made..”

“Paper kites!” Saige yelled out as he began to sob

“Luca!” Saige cried out as he hugged his brother. There they sat in eachothers arms, a sobbing mess. I was happy for my angel.

A few moments after they had calmed down, I had cleared my throat. I had to know. I needed to ask.

“What happened? How were you separated? And what of the king and queen?”

Prince Luca pulled away from the embrace as I walked over and sat down on the coffee table. We were in the gaming area, where couches lined up in the shape of a ‘U’.

Saige stood a few feet from me with Luca still on his knees.

The moment I sat down Luca got up and sat on the edge of the couch.

“That’s a horrid day I replay in my mind, constantly. I had gone off to Alpha training camp for the week. My mother and father bid me farewell as I hugged my brother. Telling him I’d miss him while I was gone. The last time I saw your face was when I turned around in the back seat of the SUV leaving the driveway of our home.

When I got the news of the attack, I made it home as fast as I could. But when I returned home, I had never expected what I saw. Blood littered the walls and floors of our home. I searched throughout the house for my brother. He was more important to me than my mother and father.”

I could feel the fear starting to seep inside of my mate and I reached out to pull him closer.

No doubt he was reliving that moment in his mind all over again.

“The maid that had been a main witness had said the rogues had stormed from every direction, rabid and feral. Killing all in their path. Our warriors were taken down mercilessly. The maid hid across the hall from our parents. She heard the Alpha threaten our parents. They wanted Saige. They wanted the male omega he could smell hidden. He offered them a high price or death.

They were torn apart. Saige’s screams were heard and he was taken captive.”

Saige had become a mess, whining and shaking with fear.

“Easy, my angel.” I cood to my mate as I released my pheromones to sooth him

“You can’t stress while pregnant.” I say as I rub his little belly.

“Pregnant!?” Luca says with a gasp.

Luca was on his knees again in front of Saige. Saige stood in between my legs, his back facing my front.

Luca lifted his shaky hands as tears welled in his eyes. He gently placed his hands on Saige’s belly. He caressed his belly with love and tears.

“Pregnant? Little brother, I’m so happy for you!” Luca told Saige with a sob in his throat.

I knew he truly meant it. I could feel the happiness radiating off of Luca.

Saige laughed lightly, placing a hand over Luca’s.

“Twins.” Saige told Luca as he brought his other hand to point at the similarity of themselves being twins.

Luca laughed with happiness.

“Our future rulers.” Luca said aloud.

“Excuse me?” I said, confused.

Luca took in a deep breath before letting out a heavy sigh.

“I had searched for you, for years, little brother. I never gave up hope. A few years ago, I found my mate. She knew of you immediately. Things were really rough for her and I. The weight of losing you was greater than anything I had ever felt. Not even our parents' death.”

Luca wiped a tear away before he continued.

“I had heard of this pack that was keeping omega’s for slaves. We did everything we could to locate the pack. On our search one day, a band of rogues attacked. We never heard them coming. They killed my mate before I could get to her. I honestly think that my hope and love for you dear brother is what has kept me from becoming feral.”

Saige sobbed as he reached out for Luca. It broke my heart at the thought of everything Luca had endured for my mate. I too would have done the same.

“ALRIGHT WHERE THE FUCK IS HE?” I heard Cass yelling down the hall.

I knew she was getting closer as her voice grew louder.

The door slammed open hitting the wall and her glare met my eyes.

“How the HELL does Jacob get a damn picture before m-.”

She stopped dead in her tracks as Luca stood with a wide grin. Apparently her outburst was commercial to him.

“Sweet Goddess you're hot.” She mumbled as her gaze met Luca’s.

I don’t quite think that she meant to blurt it out, but we’d all heard it.

Luca smirked as he made his way around the couch, approaching my frozen sister.

Luca lowered himself to her height a foot away

His eyes raked over her face.

He turns to me, still bent to her level.

“Your sister?” He asked. I nod with a smirk.

Luca smiles as he turns his head back to her.

“Adorable.”

Luca stands and walks back over to Saige and I, looking over his shoulder at Cass, who is still frozen in place.

“Cassidy?” Saige says, breaking her out of her stance.

He reached his hand out for her, beckoning her over to him.

She cleared her throat and made her way around the couch. Sittin a few feet away from Luca but closer to Saige.

“What’s going on here?” Cass asked curiously.

“Prince Luca meet my sister Cassidy, Cassidy meet Prince Luca. Saige’s twin brother.”

Cassidy pales immediately.

“Alpha Prince Luca?” Cassidy says shocked. She stood immediately and bowed slightly.

“Forgive me your majesty, for my rudeness and outburst.”

Luca laughs.

“Nonsense, I enjoyed it. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Luca says as he holds out his hand. Cass reaches for his hand and then it finally hits her.

“Twins!? Prince? SAIGE YOU’RE A PRINCE!? WHAT. THE. SHIT!?”

“Cassidy.” Saige reaches into his pocket and pulls out the picture of the ultrasound.

He holds it out for her.

“Aww look at them!” Cass says with admiration. “Why is one baby bigger than the other?”

Luca stands and looks over Cass’ shoulder at the picture.

“One is Alpha and one is omega.” Luca says in Cassidy’s ear.

I see her freeze up again and inhale sharply. Luca was close.

“So again about the future rulers.” I ask.

“Right. So, after losing my mate, I have no children to bear, therefore, The throne and pack is passed to the next in line. Them being, your pups.” Luca says proudly.

“No worries, though, our packs can merge when they become of age.”

I nod approvingly.

“Now then,” Luca states. “I have one important request.”

All of us look at Luca questioningly.

“Please grant me the honor and privilege of staying here, until the pups are born. I would love to catch up with my brother. Among other things.” Luca says as he looks over at Cassidy with an arched brow.

This could be trouble, I smirk.
