They say, money is power, and power means everything in this city. You can be a jackass to everybody as long as you have money to back it up, I for one find people like that the most annoying.

Speaking of annoying, I never get a moment’s rest when I go outside. Birds of a feather flock together, but this bunch’s brains put together doesn’t amount to much.

-Yo, he’s right. Been a while, how about we have a longer talk this time pal? another gang member came closer to me.

Leave me alone you idiots, go do something useful with your life, I’m busy.

-What? You too important to talk to us now? the gang leader taunted me.

Guess I didn’t voice that thought.

That does it, I had enough of this.

-You just gonna block my way all day? I reply walking past him.

I would be lying if a said I didn’t start running when I got behind the gang, but it seems it took them a solid minute to process everything. Like I said, idiots.

So now I’m running at full speed in the city streets with 3 big idiots hot on my tail, just your average day in the life of a teen. Though, I got to admit, parkouring between buildings is pretty fun.

-Better learn how to jump or use your brain for a change guys! I throw over my shoulder while jumping over old boxes someone left in the middle of the street.

Honestly, leaving stuff in places such as this, even if it does work in my favor seeing as I’m the only one avoiding them successfully.

Now then, what course to take today? I pick up speed, jump on the right wall to reach the fire escape. Got the ladder!

-Ah, ah, stop! Ah, I said stop damn it! out of breath, one of the guys screams.

-Keep up or eat my dust, later morons! I disappear up the fire escape, not before I look at their exhausted faces.

On the rooftops the view is amazing, best spots to hide from problems. And the sun rising… I always feel so calm whenever I see it here. Leaning on the railing, gazing at the city, wanting all to be a dream but, I know I’d never wake up if it was.

-Found him! Thought you’d get away freak? a voice interrupts my peace.

Persistent today, aren’t we? Do they really have to take away Every. Place. I. Like? I mean, don’t you have something else to do other than chase me and insult me?! Damn, guess I gotta go someplace else.

-Who were you calling morons earlier? they are coming closer to the railing.

-No place left to run, time to teach you a lesson.

Yep, I’m cornered.

-What now? Ready for that nice talk? laughs the boss.

-Are you that unpopular that you need me to talk to you? Sad dude, try socializing more, I smile nonchalant.

-Nope I’m out, I reply before running in the different direction.

I take advantage of my momentum to jump on the railing and on the next building. Parkouring every day comes in handy in this situations.

-How the heck did he do that?!

-Give it up, no point risking that jump.

-He always does get away with those tricks, agrees the boss. Let’s go.

Now they call it quits, typical, making me jump like a rabbit for their amusement instead of letting me stay on that spot. Sigh, is too much to ask for peace and quiet when I go out?

Whatever. I check the door on the rooftop; locked, figures how lucky am I today?

-Haaah! I lean on the door while supporting my head with my left hand. At least they can’t get in either.
