Jenna shouldn't have taken this responsibility, she has too many things to do such as school and work. Yet... she took it up, she took it because... Come to think of it, she doesn't even have a reason as to why she took it, she just... did in all honesty.

Now, here she is, just sitting on the girl's couch with a warm blanket lazily wrapped around her as she stares down at the TV in front of her, watching something of New Amsterdam, a medical drama show that ended a few years ago. It was super popular back in the '20's but it soon died down so it was canceled? Who knows, the full timeline other than Martin who was obsessed with it in 2021 when they were all thirteen and fourteen. Lyla had even gotten into it from what the girl remembers of one of their calls before they broke it all off.

Somehow she still feels bad about being immature, scared, weirded out by all her feelings towards the other. She wonders how Lyla took up their time apart. From their messages of the time it was the most heartfelt and sappy conversation they've both ever had, saying many "I love you"s and "it's going to be okay". It wasn't going to be alright if this is how she wants her life to return to.

Maybe, this was just a thought in her head, if she wasn't so immature and scared at the time, what could they have been? What would even happen now if that were to occur? Would they be a secret couple from their friends? Would they come out to them? Yeah, no definitely not. Jenna hasn't even come out to her family and it has been nine whole years since then. Maybe her fantasy of what she felt in that room and many more outside of the room was her heart telling her that she was ready, that she was mature enough and ready enough to get that shining green light.

Then another thought hits her in the back of her head like a ball that's been hit, no, that couldn't happen, she has to stay on her game, she has to at least get through her last year of law school and get her degree before any of this happens. But then again, what if Lyla doesn't even share the same feelings, sure that special was from a year ago, a day away from Valentine's day which so conveniently is her father's birthday but he was invited to see her show and it was really touching.

Maybe, just maybe, she could let her feelings go wild for once, letting them swallow her whole and her fantasies might come true, just them, maybe with adopted kids, maybe not, Amber would stay with them, definitely, and just live in her apartment. A comedian and a lawyer, who would've thought that would be the professions of two people. Someone who entertains while the other is mostly stressed over cases and yells at people for no reason other than to sway the jury or someone's case.

Jenna was getting too far ahead of herself...

Amber rests her head on her lap as she watches the show, this dog really likes her, frankly they've probably shared a bond that was maybe a half of a level higher than Lyla's.

Okay, yeah, she was never the best at gaming or gaming references, ever almost. Lyla would always make them since she's a born gamer, touching the controls of PC gaming at only four years old, and from then on to the controls of the GameCube, PlayStation Three, Xbox 360, Xbox One, 3DS, Game Boy Advance and Nintendo Switch. Or that's from what Jenna remembers, plus her history and knowledge of everything is mind boggling, how does one know this much? Nobody really knows.

The episode ends and she takes a peak at the clock, the time it displayed was 6:27 in the morning, she was too late to be working, though she called Ava to take up on those vacation weeks and use one of them on this which she gave the okay to. It feels weird not working or doing anything until one in the afternoon. That was until she got a text from someone.

How does Jenna put this simply... She's panicking, well more of a bi-panic but... it still works okay!

"Goddammit Jen." A blush burns her face as she contorts herself to curl into a ball. "Why did she have to say that?" God she's so embarrassed by this one thing, this shouldn't be like her, not at all.

To get her mind off of everything she returns to the episode of the show, not caring if she missed anything as Amber finds a new position to get love from her temporary caretaker.
