Davian’s POV

I had been dealing with a lot of paperwork after the summit. A total of 6 omega’s had found their mates. I had to finalize the documents for the records and my little mate was here helping file the documents.

Jacob was out leading the pack training for the day. I had many things on my mind since the summit.

How many packs were out there like the one we rescued Saige from?

How many omega’s were lost?

How could we help?

Where would we start looking?

Just as I was getting deep in thought Cassidy opened my office door.

She was among four that were allowed to enter without knocking.

She walked in and stood a good distance away from me, with her head down.

Behind her followed a very agitated Prince.

“Alpha Davian.” Luca started as he paced the room. “It seems there are a few things that need to be discussed.” 

I raised my brow in question. Following Luca as he paced. Glancing over at Cassidy, who still kept her head down hiding her face in her hair.

“What has she done?” 

“Cassidy. I gave you the choice. Decide.” Luca said in a stern tone.

I watched as Cassidy fiddled with her fingers before she took a deep breath. I could hear the quickening of her heartbeat. 

Saige stood at my filing cabinets staring at Cassidy as well.

“I.. I… was..” She sniffled as she stood there.

“Cassidy! What the hell happened!?” I yelled.

Cassidy looked over at Luca and shook her head with pleading eyes.

“Very well. Looks like I’ll be the one to deliver the news.” Luca shook his head with disapproval.

“I was making my way through town with my beta and gamma when I heard the altercation.. Seems like two boys from the same school have been bullying Cassidy.”

“What!” I breathed out in disbelief.

“For six months no less.” Luca finished.

“ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS CASS!” I roared in anger.

 I stood from my desk kicking my chair back against the wall. Cassidy and Saige flinched. She started crying but I was having none of it.

She knew she could have come to me. She knew I would have handled it.

I stomped my way over to Cassidy. Giving 2 feet in distance.

“How the fuck did you let it go this far!? This is bullshit! You let them do this shit to you and never came to me! How-”

“NOOO!” Saige screamed as he jumped in front of Cass.

“DON’T YELL AT HER!” Saige screamed again.

Never since the day I met my mate have I ever heard my mate yell at me like this.

“YOU.. YOU’RE BEING MEAN TO HER! I DON’T LIKE IT!” Saige’s eyes flickered a glow and I knew Sunny was fighting his way out. 

I stood there, still as ever, in shock that my mate was this angry.

Luca stood, wide eyed, as well.

“You’re being no better than those bullies right now! You’re yelling at her and being mean to her for something that someone else did to HER! Do either of you know what it’s like to live in fear!?

Do either of you know what it’s like to be an omega and have no choice but to submit!?

NO! YOU DON’T!”

Saige turned around to Cass and hugged her. Whispering something to her even I couldn’t hear and she broke down crying. I looked over at Luca who was just as shook as I.

I never thought of Cassidy’s side. Of what she was going through. Of what she was put through.

It hurt me, deep. And it took my little mate to help me see that.

“EEk!” Saige squeaked out and jumped back from Cass.

“Saige!” Cass said as her face lit up.

“Did the babies just kick me!?” 

Saige looked shocked as I turned him around. I knelt down in front of him and lifted his shirt to expose his baby bump. I placed both of my hands around his belly.

“Let me feel you, my babies.” I whispered to Saige’s belly.

“EEk!” Saige squeaked as he jumped again.

“My pups.” I whispered as I kissed Saige’s tummy.

“May I?” Luca asked as he walked closer.

Saige looked at Luca and nodded. Luca went down on one knee and placed his hands on Saige.

Saige squeaked once again. 

“Active pups! You both will have your hands full for sure.” Luca laughed loudly.

“But.. How are they able to be felt this early in the pregnancy?” Cassidy asked as she looked from Saige to me.

That’s when I noticed the red mark on the side of her face. Rage once again set in.

“We’ll visit the doctor as soon as Luca and I deal with these fucks that did THAT to your face!” I said through gritted teeth.

Luca stood immediately and looked over at me with amusement on his face.

“Yes. Let us do that.” Luca said as he looked over at Cass with a raised brow.

“I was told of the many ways she was abused. Eye for an eye. Show me the way Davian.”

“With pleasure.”
