Why?” Yelled a voice from behind us, I turned around to see who it was. It was the wolf who griped about Lil earlier, he was about my height, with dark brown hair, ears and tail, and golden eyes. But… why what? Like what?

“Why what Hadden,” Lib stepped towards the wolf, “why what?”

“Why are we followin’ her? Ya should hate each other! Last I checked ya did, I don’t remember a makeup day.” He snarled puffin out his chest, “Ya two should be at each others throats! Not walking side by side like nothing has happened! She’s below us, remember?” 

“Hadden back up, you don’t know what your saying. You have no idea what is going on. Do not go against me on this. You will listen to the alpha.” Lib commended as he walked in-between Hadden and Lil.

“Listen to Lib, if you keep pushing this won’t end well.” David said through his teeth, slowly walking towards Hadden.

“Shut the fuck up David. You are just as pissed off as I am right now. If they have made up behind our backs then what else have they lied about? Huh!” Hadden screamed. 

“You upset that you might’ve lost your control over Libryinth? Really? You think he’s shaken off your gripe on him?” Lil smirked as she spoke, “Are you stupid, or just oblivious to your surroundings?”

Hearing Lil speak seamed to anger Hadden, “How dare you speak to me as if you know what is going on you useless omega! How dare you speak to an alpha without permission! I am not someone so worthless.” He huffed as he spoke.

Lil laughed at his words, “You really think that way? Gosh you are dumb… Why don’t you come over here and prove it? Huh? What, are you scared that an ‘omega’ will fuck you up? That you won’t be able to beat me?”

Hadden clenched his fists as Lil spoke, “You should know fighting an omega is below me, but… I call a revote. I challenge Libryinth to see who really should be the top dog here.”

“I wouldn’t do that Hadden, buddy, see here, Lib is a bare-wolf. You on the other hand, is a wolf. You’re not mystic, or bare, just wolf. Just on base level with no training, he’ll be stronger than you. Not including that half of his training came from me or our older brothers. Which then brings him above you even more than before.” Lil’s eyes where shining a bright red as she spoke.

Hadden lunged at Lil when she finished speaking, Lib saw and pushed him to the ground with all his strength. Libs hand was covering Hadden’s mouth, pushing his head into the ground. “How dare you speak to her like that, and then lunge at her like she’s your enemy!” Lib’s voice started to get even deeper, “You will never go after her again!”

I felt a shiver go down my spine at those words, as a silence fell over us. I heard a thump and looked over, Lil and Arbid were on the ground. Bex was next to Arbid trying to help him as I got to Lil. I crouched down to try and started helping her get back up on her feet. When she got to her knees, she looked up at Lib and screamed, “Stop it Lib!”

Lib flipped around, his ears drooping when he saw Lil. He got up slowly and made his over to her, apologizing quietly and trying to help.

“So she does have ya wrapped around her little finger,” Hadden spat as he got up from the ground. “I guess she has manipulated ya back to the old way ya were before ya met me. But, I’ll give ya one more chance to get ya back on track, you’ll just have to let me take her down. Kay?”

“You think you can take me down? Oh, come on. I can’t believe it, you honestly believe that?” Lil had gotten back on her feet “You’ve never even gotten close to hitting me, let alone beating me.” Lil snickered, her eyes burning a dark bloody red, “I dare you to just try!”

“You’re on!” Hadden called out as he ran at Lil. Right before he got to her Lib kicked him in the stomach sending him flying backwards towards a tree. But instead of hitting the tree, Hadden hit Lib’s kick send him flying face first into the dirt on the ground. You could hear his whimpering as he landed.

“Really Lib?” Lil looked at him disappointed, her eyes returning to her usual hazel, as she dusted the dirt off her knees from the fall and the leaves from her hair.

“What I was just tryin to save you, protect you. You know big brother things.” Lib said with a smile.

Lil sighed rubbing the back of her neck, “Come on let’s get moving, we don’t want to be stuck out here through the weekend.” She turned around and started walking away.

“Alrighty let’s move out!” Lib called out as I caught up to Lil, Arbid was right next to her.

“Hey, you two okay? That was his alpha voice, are you sure you guys don’t need to take a small break or anything?” I asked the two as we continued walking.

“Nope! We’ll be fine!” Arbid smiled as he spoke, holding onto Lil’s hand.

“That was kinda scary thou, I never expected to see something like that. I mean who would’ve thought that was gonna happen. And Libryinth moved so fast. How did he even do that?” Bex asked as excitedly as ever. 

 We continued walking at the sun rose in the sky, it felt as if it was getting around noon when we came upon a small valley clearing. It was filled with flowers and berry bushes. Its floral smell was so strong.

“We should rest here through the heat of midday. Arbid take a group and find fresh water and food. Zander and David grab the rest and get a shelter built so everyone has some shade and protection from the sun.” Lil said as she walked over to a group of trees in the middle of the berry bushes. “Jun and Lib, I think we should have a small meeting to discuss a plan on how we are gonna get out of here.”

Lib and I followed Lil into the bushes until she turned around and sat down. We soon sat down as well.

“We have a small issue.” Lil stated as she took off her collar, “I only have about 2ish hours until my collar runs out of suppressants. Once its out, my heat will be out there for all to be affected by.”

“What if we have a couple people go on ahead to check out the path and find out what all is laying in wait for us?” Lib suggested.

“I’m not to sure, Lil don’t you have some type of bird or squirrel or small animal that you know out here that could help us out? They could check it all out for us and no one would even question why the animals would be around you since they always are when we walk around the campus.” I said.

“That’s actually not a half bad idea Jun, I’ll check to see if there are any willing to do that right now, while I’m off figuring it out, you two come up with a back up plan if we still can’t get to the safe house in time.” Lil said as she stood up and walked over to the edge of the forest.

After she said that we figured out how to protect her if we can’t get to the safe house before it runs out. When she got back we explained the plan to her, with her responding with a ‘Welp, I guess thats the best option we have with the few people we got right now.” After we finished, she told us to go back with the group and that she’d stay there so the collar wouldn’t run out before we even got back on the road. Lib and I then walked back to the group.

 Bex and Arbid brought Lil water and food, and we kept everyone else from going over there and possibly getting affected by her pheromones. We all napped and ate while we waited for the midday heat to blow over.

“Where are you guys going?” Lib said startling me, I looked up to see who he was talking to when I saw Hadden, David, and Zander walking towards the berry bushes and Lil, “Guys?” 

“Don’t you smell that? It smells so good, its just pulling me right in.” David said as they all looked back at us their eyes hazed over.

“No!” Lib yelled as we got up and tried to stop them, “Juniper go and get Lil out of here, she’s not safe anymore. We’ll catch up to you two once their heads clear back up”

I nodded, “Bex, Winnie, help Libryinth with these guys. And everyone follow his orders till you meet back up with me and Lil.” I called back to them as I ran over to Lil. I scooped her up and ran in the direction we had decided on earlier.

I kept running for about 60 meters before I needed a breather. I sat her down next to a oak tree, while I breathed. I looked over at her to see her searching herself and the area around her frantically, “What are you searching for?”

“My collar. I thought I had it when you picked me up, but I can’t find it now.” She seamed almost scared.

“Well calm down, we’ll find it. Maybe you just dropped it within the last few meters, I’ll check. But I want you to come with me, I don’t think it’s-“

“Safe?” A familiar voice came from behind, cutting me off and sending shivers down my spine. I turned around to see Braden and a group of guys, all of them covered in blood.

“Braden, you need to get out of here, the packs a few meters back. Go wait with them until Libryinth says that its time to catch up with us.” I said trying to play it cool.

“Finally all this work is paying off. I bet your feeling really stupid right now Lillith, now that you’ve realized it.” Braden said as he approached us.

“Braden back off-“ Before I could finish, Braden pushed me out of the way toward his buddies who restrained me.

“So has it finally sunk in yet? I would hope so. Especially now that you’re in this situation, such a dangerous one it is for you. An omega in heat, and I an alpha in rut. I mean you do sense the danger, right?” Braden said and he crouched down in front of Lil. “But, boy, do I really hope you are worth all of this. I mean, I’ve been at this since the very beginning. Stalking you. Harassing you through text messages. Sneaking you heat inducers. But no matter what, I couldn’t get you alone. I couldn’t break you. You just kept on going strong.” He grabbed her face, forcing her to look at him.

“Don’t you dare touch her!” I screamed as I tried to get out of the restraints.

“I wasn’t even speaking to you.” He said as he threw a small blade at me, nicking my thigh. He then started to transform. His legs combined to form a snakes tail, his tongue elongated, and his fangs came in. “I don’t think you really know how much danger you are in right this very instant.” He said as he pulled Lil in closer to him, hissing.
