Chapter Ten: Gale
Sometimes Gale slept through the day but today was the first day at Hogwarts. He couldn’t pass up on all the bold adventures that would inadvertently happen from waking up at 6:45.
Gale walked around the castle, which had talking paintings. He ended up having a conversation with a portrait called Rogelio about why coasters (the things under cups, not roller coasters) were underrated before he started walking to the kitchens to steal some food.
“Hello,” a voice came from behind him and he instinctively kicked which the person dodged.
“It’s me, Natsuki.” It was Natsuki.
“Hey,” Gale attempted to kick her again, “if I’d really wanted to successfully kick you, I would have by the way.”
“The fact that I dodged your lowly kick says otherwise.” Natsuki grinned and did a hair flip.
Gale gasped. “Lowly? I bet your kick is even-”
Natsuki kicked him hard in the shin. Gale almost tripped. Gale regained his balance and scoffed, “even lowlier than my kick. And yours was preplanned.” He put most of his weight on his right foot, the one that hadn’t been kicked. “I would obviously win in a fight.”
Natsuki smiled. “I think that Blue would win in a fight against you.”
Gale gasped again. “How dare you?”
Natsuki then turned the corner, “I’m going to the kitchen. Emilia makes me a morning cappuccino.”
“Real sophisticated people have bitter coffee. It’s a testament of how tough we are.”
Natsuki grinned. “Real macho man you are. You can have your disgusting bitter coffee while I have my delicious mocha caramel swirl.” Damn, that sounds really good.
“C’est dommage, you’ve converted me. I’m stealing your cappuccino.”
Natsuki laughed. “No.” She opened the door to the kitchen. “Heya Emilia.”
“Natsuki! Un mocha caramel cappuccino para ti.”
“Muchas gracias Emilia.” Natsuki took the cappuccino and took a large sip.
“Hey, is there another cappuccino for me?” Gale leaned against the counter.
Emilia’s eyes widened. “I didn’t make one for you! I’m so sorry, I didn’t know-”
“No, no it’s okay-”
“What do you like? Natsuki always likes caramel, but do you want green tea maybe, or triple chocolate, I’m so sorry.”
“Yes, yes, for the grave offense of not getting me the coffee I never asked for.”
“I’m so sorry!” She squealed and ran to grab the coffee blend.
“Um, I was just joking.” Gale said.
“Don’t worry.” Natsuki pat Gale on the back very hard. “We can just share the caramel cappuccino.”
Emilia nodded. “Okay. Everything’s in order now.” She rushed away to start making pancakes in a deeper room from the kitchen.
“Okay, give it.” Gale put out his hand.
“No,” Natsuki clung the cappuccino close to her, “I’m not sharing it’s mine.”
Gale scoffed. So, what should I challenge her to, for me to win the cappuccino? “I challenge you to a fight. Whoever wins will get the mocha caramel cappuccino.”
Natsuki grinned. “You are on.” Natsuki lunged forward and Gale maneuvered. Gale attempted to punch Natsuki who then maneuvered. Whatever cool form.
Gale went in for the tackle.
