After that encounter we went on as normal, it was concerning that Salem still hasn't found his wolf but then again he has until he's 14 when he's officially announced as Beta-Born. It's not really a bad thing just that they can't go Wolf, they'll have the ears and tails plus all the wolf senses so it's not all bad. The pack won't recognize a Beta-Born so there's no ceremony for them to stay in the pack, they get to choose to stay or not, some do because they found a mate, some go wanting out of pack life and live normally. The reason why is because Beta-Born can't have wolf pups. The genes are not carried if a Beta-Born wants pups they need to be with either an Alpha or Omega. If they are not then the baby is just a normal human.

Aside from that, my so-called friends wanted me to spend a few days with other Omega's. Normally when Alpha's fail the Alpha Test 3 times they are suggested to join the Beta's or Omega's. The Failed Alpha must learn to be Gentle from the Omega's before joining with a lower rank. Alpha's growing up are Ruthless, Uncaring and always wants to pick a fight. Haven't realized that until I joined the Omega Nursery in the Omega District. It's like a mixed grade school. They have few teachers for the school since most Omega's learn from their parents.

I sat at the back in the small chairs and small group round table listening to some Omega-Born's recite the alphabet or their numbers, few just got up for show and tell. It was torture, I'd much rather be back in hell week than suffer another minute of this.

A young Omega-Born walked up to me to show their stickers, unconsciously I growled thinking she was trying to challenge for my seat. She ran away crying to the Omega-Teacher, the only one brave enough to stand up to me. I admired her bravery but she still trembled when meeting my gaze so she's weak in my eyes. Can't really stand weakness I figured out. I now realize firsthand how real Alpha's feel when challenging for seats, the weakest is the first to go and they'll climb the friend ladder to be Alpha of the circle.

The Omega-Teacher walked up to me so I growled at her, I was then hit on the head lightly while she pointed to the now-familiar corner. I was told not to growl and use my words, I stood facing the wall intent on not listening to a word she says and hoping she would go away.

Normally when we lose a fight we are to stand with weights for an hour before we can challenge again. I lost a few fights won a few but my record was small. I'm not challenged enough and I don't know if it's Salem's influence or my friends doing the fighting for me. They saw my wrecked locker, how I'm pushed around, yet it never went beyond that. Even after I've tasted, no one fought me.

I don't know why.

It makes me feel weak like I have to depend on them. How can I change that?

The time was up and the Omega-Teacher walked over to me and knelt. I growled sensing her presence and when I turned she flinched. "You are not an Alpha, young man," she returned the growl. She was indeed brave. I must not be the first Alpha to cross her path. "You will behave in my care," she said as solidly as she could although she still shook. She's great.

"You dare Challenge me?" I growled, she flinched looking away. She didn't want a challenge, yet she's challenging my rank. Just then a loud bang was heard and in stepped the Coach. The younger Omega's went to the furthest corner and whimpered. Instinct kicked in and I was on guard for a potential attack from the Alpha.

"Alpha Angel," the Coach growled, higher-ranked Alpha's are strong and the penalty for challenging them could mean death. I lowered my head but still kept my gaze on him, I don't know if he's here to hurt the Omega's or to lecture me, so best to be ready. His eyes shifted to the Omega-Teacher and softened a fraction. "He is an Honorary Alpha, he has not taken the test yet. He's only here because he needs manners and to reconnect with his Omega side."

"I don't need to be here," I growled, "I need to be out hunting or protecting the pack."

"You know the penalty for challenging a high-ranked Alpha," Coach said sternly, I watched his eyes shift to the Omega's behind me and I quickly rose my head to stare him in the eyes. I know I can't win against him on my own but I have the best chance of stalling him if we do fight. I glanced briefly to the Omega-Teacher and that one look was enough to tell her that our pack might be in trouble. She took a magazine rolled it up and started wrecking the Coach with it.

It was amazing.

He left behind an apology before leaving and I relaxed knowing that the threat was gone. I looked at the other Omega's and saw that they were only shaken but they were fine. I can't comfort them like a normal Alpha would so I did the next best thing, leave them alone.

I sat at my table and the Omega-Teacher walked up to me, "Well, now that that's settled. How far along are you in school? I'm guessing 3rd grade?"

"Alpha's my age are in 12th grade may be higher. The Alpha's goal is to train to protect the pack and provide. Books would only get in the way, when we turn 14 we will be given a refresher course before entering a public school with humans."

"That's, you are very advanced for your age. Why? I mean, you really do behave like an Alpha. What are you trying to prove?" The Omega-Teacher fumbled with her words since I had already given her the answer.

"I'm training to be an Elite Omega, I will protect the pack from unseen threats and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the pack. I need to be stronger than any Alpha that crosses my part. I also want to prove that we Omega's are not stupid and weak as the pack claims us to be." She started at me then clapped her hands saying that it was time to sing the 'Omega Song'.

I'm sorry what? Are they saying that we fall for anything and we can't be stars? What's with the last line? We can't be equals to Alpha's?

It keeps saying we are weak and what's with the last two lines? Do they know what that means? Why is this song so degrading? 'Something must have happened to the old Omega's if this is what they are reduced to. Pup farming,' Justice was right this was messed up and I don't like it.

Why do they look so happy singing that song? I felt nothing but anger towards whoever made it, this goes against my goals. The tune was familiar also, I often heard it when we passed by the Omega District from a hunt but never saw the singers.

I hadn't noticed my growling until I stopped when I felt a gentle pat on my head. Looking at the small Omega boy he smiled, "Good Alpha, no more growling," his hand was shaking a bit but it felt nice. I leaned further to his touch, almost desperately. I might have misheard what the Omega-Teacher had said but it was something like 'Starved'? The thought washed away when the little Omega hugged me and purred soothingly.

I felt pain and longing when the boy pulled away but relieved when he didn't leave. He wiped my eyes and sat next to me. He showed me how to play games and I felt eased into the Omega rank. It was nice, soft and I'm without worry because I also felt protected.

Tag, was like Hunting but not like Hunting. I have to gently touch the people running from me. Not push. Gently touch, tap even. A soft poke. I hate it.

Hide and Seek, was also like Hunting but not like Hunting. I have to find the people hiding and not bite them when I found them. I use words. I also hate it.

Swing, I like swing. Just don't launch anyone off the seat and we're golden.

Tea Time or Tea Party? Something with tea, it was nice we sat and talked about our day with tea and treats. Very relaxing.

I didn't want to leave but Justice insist we leave soon and get on with my nightly workout. I felt much better when we finished after a double set.

Walking back to the Omega District the Omega Nursery was filled with different Omega's more my age and it was nice to be around like-minded wolves.

Nope.

I was wrong!

What the hell am I supposed to do with this, this plastic potato? Peel it?

I poked at it and the thing started to cry. I sniffed the plastic and nothing was wrong with it. It was unnatural! What is it?

"You have to feed him, here I'll show you," a girl gently picked the potato up and put a plastic tube in its mouth? Was this supposed to be a baby? Why do I need to do this? Aren't we too young to be doing this? I looked around and saw some Omega's giving birth. Well pretend to but it was still disturbing and it made me feel sick. I looked to the instructor of this class and wondered what was wrong with her. She was nothing like the first Omega-Teacher I met. Why was she enjoying the fake pain the Omega's we're in? I took a sniff towards her and she smelled like an Alpha. So that was it, she's a Failed Alpha or Failed for short. Failed's are Alpha's and Beta's who failed the Alpha Labyrinth 3 times and are sent to be Beta's or Omega's instead.

"Omega, why are you not taking care of your own pup?" The girl flinched and hurried back to her desk looking down and trying to make herself small. The pheromones the Failed was releasing were gross, it was to make Omega's scared. And it was working on them but not me, it only made me pissed. I stood and growled at her to Challenge. The Failed was weak I know it, so I can take her down easily and she knows it. "Sit down, Omega!" She growled back but it wasn't threatening I can see her shaking. She must feel humiliated being threatened by an Omega. "You are not an Alpha, not anymore now that you have failed the Test."

"You have a lot of balls for Challenging me," I growled lowly my eyes hard on her neck. I could go Wolf and get rid of her but the Omega's in the room were stopping me from wanting to tear out her throat.

"Challenge? Omega does not fight, they take care of the pups and their Alpha. Nothing else. Oliver, look after the class until I return. I need to speak with this disobedient Omega's parents. They didn't raise a proper Omega," she left in a hurry and Oliver looked at me and smirked. I put my neutral face back on knowing that this wasn't a 'thank you' but a 'you're in trouble' look. I didn't really care since Coach was the one that raised me. I know I did the right thing.

"You know she's wrong," I said before getting into my new routine of utilizing the space for exercising. No one said anything but went about with what they were doing before. A few minutes later some new kids showed up. I got up and looked at them. They smelled Beta but one had the Failed's scent on him, the 3 boys walked to Oliver and started pushing him around.

"Look at little Olivia thinks she's all high and mighty," they taunted. I growled a warning but it seems they don't hear.

"Aw she's shaking, you gonna cry, Olivia?" I walked over and shoved them back placing myself between Oliver and them and growled holding myself to show I'm of higher rank. "You think you're tough," they barked.

"Another wimpy girl trying to stand up to us Alpha's? Huh?" They tried to push me but they were weak so walked forward.

"You are threatening my pack, leave before you force me to show my fangs."

"You think you an Alpha? Because you speak like one? What a liar! Fake!"

"I've trained with the Alpha's for 3 years now stand down before I show my fangs against a threat. And let me tell you this, blood tastes sweet." A last-ditch effort to tell them not to fight me and I don't want to fight them because of the Failed. Knowing that it will get me into further trouble and it will hurt Oliver.

"You think you're all that?" They started backing away and out the door throwing childish threats and names.

"You ok Oliver?" I asked looking at the shaken boy, he put on a mad face and told me to leave him alone. "As long as you are unharmed I am relieved."

"A-Alpha?" A small voice spoke up beside me and I gave him my attention, you should never ignore an Omega when they want something.

"Holly! Get away from him!" Oliver barked and the boy, Holly ran away quickly. I relaxed on the floor and tried to figure out why the Failed wanted so much fear towards her. She even tried to get the Beta's to do her dirty work since she's not allowed to lay a hand on the Omega's. That should change. They don't need a Failed teaching them, they need someone better. That's the first thing I'll do, get rid of the Failed.

"O-ah hey," Oliver said it's been a few minutes after the incident and he looks a bit calmer now. "What did you mean by 'my pack'?"

"My pack, is you and everyone in the room. We may not see eye to eye but just know that I will be there to protect you from dangers and other threats." I sat up during my explanation.

"I'm worried about what those Alpha's will do to you when you leave."

"They are not Alpha's those are Beta's. We are more sophisticated in our fights. We call them Challenges, it's used to place our rank in the Alpha Den. All Challenges happen out in the open where other pack members can see. Not in this box. What they are doing is bullying you and making you fear the Alpha title. An Alpha's job is to protect and provide for their mate and pack, not force their power."

"How can we stop them?"

"Stop calling them Alpha, you should know that is flirting. It also gives them an excuse to treat you poorly, tell them to stop. If it doesn't work then use your numbers. There are 3 of them and like what? 10 of you? Most would shrink at the sight of larger numbers. Assert yourself, show them you can't be pushed around and that they shouldn't."

"And the name-calling?"

"Are what they say true? If they are then stay as you are, if not then don't listen. You are worthwhile. You are strong. And most importantly, they are messing with your pups. When I say My pack, I'm really saying My pups. Would you let the hurt your pup?" Oliver looked angry at that and was about to shout at me before looking at the other Omega's. "The moment you show weakness, they will walk all over you and show no mercy."
