A man stood alone in his office. His short pitch black hair easily blacked out any shine the light above him tried to place in his hair, his bloodshot green eyes peering out of his black framed glasses, warm ivory skin clothed with a light grey dress shirt, black jeans, black shoes and a white lab coat. The man stood by the window of his office, watching grey-army clothed soldiers place unconscious patients in wheel chairs and bring them inside the hospital he was now currently in. "There's more patients than expected..." "Yes sir, we've gotten more reports back on the other pending paperwork... we've even found the first and second" the man looked back at his assistant with a raised brow "You sure?" "Well, we believe they could be if they produce the same results for each test". "And what if more give the same results? what then?" the man questioned "U-um..." the assistant was stuck on the question, leaving her a bit of a stuttering mess "Nevermind answering the question, Miss Donnelly" the man told the assistant as she breathed out in relief while the man walked back over to his desk, noticing a letter on it. He picked it up and read it.
Dr Alex Ruins,
I originally came to your office earlier to see you not there, so I'll leave my words on paper for you to read, to properly listen to what I'd originally wanted to talk to you about. I have concerns about the sudden change of the program we originally proposed to the other Leaders, mostly the focus on children and surveying them was unexpectedly changed to... 'crazy' minded children with the soldier vaccines. As you may tell I have a problem with this new change, due to my own job as a children's councilor and psychologist. In the letter you've sent me, you've said that the lab will be called the G.A.C.T.C, but that letter never said what G.A.C.T.C stood for. I'm only asking for a few answers to the questions I hold and hope this doesn't make me seem like a quitter, but more rather a fellow worker looking for assurance on this new turn on the project.

Alex sat down at his desk "Miss Donnelly, can you please bring in Doctor Thompson" "Yes sir" she rushed out of his office, and a few minutes later a different woman opened his office door, peaking her head in. She had shoulder-length light brown hair pulled back into a messy bun with a few grey streaks due to stress, dead pale skin and dark blue eyes along with wearing a light blue button-up shirt, black jeans with a few rips at the knees, black-n-white sneakers, an old gold pendant hanging from her neck and a white lab coat. She almost looked like a teenager yet still didn't change the fact that she was actually a young twenty four.
"You wanted to see me Doctor Ruins?" "Yes Thompson, come in and take a seat" Dianne closed the door and sat down on the other side of the desk. "How's your family going Thompson?" Alex asked "Sir, you know full well that I've only got my parents, my brother'n law's parents and a nephew I've never gotten to meet. I haven't spoken to any family the past year due to our work". "You should talk to them, let them know you're okay" "I don't see why I should bother" "The Grey Leader still talks to his family-" "Grey Leader only talks to his wife and mother since his father has died and his son has been growing up as an orphan thinking his parents are dead". Alex raised an eyebrow at Dianne, it was very unlike her to speak out-of-place when it comes to the Grey Leader "Excuse my sudden out-burst, but even you would agree that faking your own death and abandoning your child is wrong". "I know its wrong Dianne, but it is the tradition of becoming the next Grey Leader. But you cannot go saying things like this when the same has happened to your missing nephew" "The death of my brother'n law and sister are real" "Your brother'n law was real, your sister was declared dead due to being on a missing plane and as much as I want to continue on this conversation, its not the reason why I've called you into my office".
Alex placed the letter in front of Dianne "You could've spoken to me personally instead of wasting mere words on paper which doesn't explain your actual problem with the new changes in the project" "I'm sorry sir, but you were busy and I didn't want to intrude or bother-" "If its maters of the project, then you may bother me with them, after all, you are a fellow doctor working on this project, so I want to hear your problems now". Dianna took a breath "Testing vaccines on children, that's my main concern of this project" "So what type of answer are you looking for?" "The absolute truth" "Very well" Alex took out a letter "This letter was direct orders from Grey Leader himself, yet you still don't have clearance to the knowledge of what's on this letter, therefore you don't have clearance to the truth" Alex stated. "The only knowledge you'll be getting is that the patients will be volunteering to undergo new soldier vaccines in which could be used in the near future. The only thing that hasn't changed is that you'll still be here for the children, to support them emotionally and physically, calm them and make sure they don't hurt themselves, the doctors, nurses or soldiers. Is that understood?". Dianne nodded her head "Good, you are dismissed Doctor Thompson, tomorrow you'll be with Doctor Connor, he'll be starting the first round of vaccines on patients in Block A. You'll meet with him at Block A's central information room at 8am no later" "Yes sir" Alex then waved her off, Dianne immediately got up and walked out the door. This isn't gonna be the last time Alex would see Dianne Thompson in his office...
