(No One's Pov)
Two girls slowly yet quietly walked down the hallway, being as careful as to not wake everyone "You think Mangle is alright?" "She'll be fine" one assured the other "But Phoebe-" "Quieten down, Dalila, unless you want to be caught" Phoebe harshly whispered to Dalila. Phoebe Aker had the most beautiful porcelain skin, long coffee-brown hair and ruby red eyes as she wore a short white and gold nightdress. Dalila Thorne had beautiful dark skin and about six foot tall, she also had haunting royal blue eyes with a traditional-islander-style tattoo around her left eye, and her head completely shaven bald as she wore a silvery t-shirt and blue sweatpants. Both girls were angels and priestesses of the Light Temple. Phoebe was a mix-blood angel, although both parents were under the Earth Wing of Heaven, Phoebe's father had fire and lava manipulation powers whilst her mother could control flora, and with unlikely luck, Phoebe inherited both powers. Dalila on the other hand is an Jewlrone angel, meaning she could manipulate a certain type of gemstone or crystal close to her family or herself, which in this case is pure diamonds. The two girls soon stopped in front of one of the many heavy wooden and iron doors in the hallway "Wait, do you think she's awake?" Dalila asked Phoebe who just rolled her eyes at the taller girl's words "Of course she's awake, you know she doesn't sleep when interesting things are happening without her" Phoebe reminded Dalila before opening the door to be met with an empty room. There was a very unimpressed look on Phoebe's face "And Mangle's not here" Phoebe stated.
Although running in her pyjamas, a white singlet top and pink-n-white plaid shorts, Mangle didn't care how weird or insane she looked as she continued to run in the direction of the Eastern Wall where the warrior sisters were. The warrior sisters' descent into Hell had been pushed back until after nightfall at about twelve in the morning. The Eastern Wall wasn't as far from the Light Temple as most people thought, yet that was only because Mangle herself was a fast runner, but also the Morning Region and Light Region were also very close as well, practically right next to each other, so that made it easy as well. Mangle soon found herself running through a city that she's never seen before, yet the broken ruins reminded her of its name, Crelston. Crelston had always been abandoned ever since the last of the Haven Wars between Heaven and Hell, but... this is the first time Mangle has ever been here. Mangle knew to pull her mind back onto the task at hand, she could always explore her now interests of the city later. Mangle ran through the city before reaching the other side, only to just see the warrior sisters' wings disappearing behind the tall brick wall. Mangle signed as two flying angels landed behind her "Mangle, the hell are you thinking?" Mangle turned her head to Pheobe "You could've been seen or gotten in trouble-" "I know..." Mangle signed, holding her head as Dalila looked at her with worried eyes. Mangle then walked past the two angels, back into the ruined city.
The two girls followed Mangle down a couple of streets before finding a small grey house on Nightal Avenue with white roses piled up by its door "Mangle?" Dalila's voice hung in the air, unanswered as Mangle looked at the roses. "This was his home" Mangle finally spoke "Who would live in an abandoned city that's practically in ruins?" Phoebe questioned "An angel that was always seen as the outcast, the 'nobody'... someone who was always shunned by everyone, including the archangel who raised him" Mangle answered. "So... this is that fallen angel's house?" Dalila questioned "Yes" Mangle answered, bending down to better look at the roses by the door "Pity... that's what everyone ever felt for him" Mangle stated "I can feel the actual reason for each placed rose and none hold any real emotion" "Mangle-" Phoebe stopped mid-sentence as Mangle's glowed gold as she touched the ground. A second later, a new yet small rose grew out of the ground, blooming a black rose, each petal had a beautiful blue tint to the edges as it was spotted with tiny delicate dots... the rose looked as though it was night itself "That's so beautiful, Mangle" Dalila smiled a bit as Mangle herself admired the rose herself. "The angel's nickname use to be 'Starlight'" Mangle told the two girls "It only seems fitting to place a flower that reminds people that" "Bless your loving heart" Phoebe said annoyed yet with a small smile as the other two giggled a bit. "Now what are you three doing out of the temple at this time?" all three girls froze up at the archangel's voice, turning around to see Michael. "Sorry sir, we were-" "I ran out here to watch the warrior sisters descend into Hell, Phoebe and Dalila came here to bring me back to the temple" Mangle interrupted Phoebe with all the truth she was willing to give to her 'brother' as he looked down at them with a stern and serious face.
"I see, well... let's take you three back then" Michael said, motioning the girls to move away from the roses yet he stopped as he stared at the night rose and just as he was about to bend down "Michael please" he froze and looked at Mangle "That is the only rose with actual emotion, not pity" Michael raised a brow "You want me to leave it?" he questioned. "Please, for me... and Gamer" Mangle pleaded as the archangel signed "Fine, it'll stay" he said, walking over to the girls "We're flying back to the temple, alright" the three girls nodded their heads before their wings came out along with Michael's, then the four proceeded to fly back to the Light Temple.
9am
(Angel's Pov)
I was walking down Ironwood Street, the street I live on... although I live in an old rehab hotel. I turned into an ally, climbing up old fire escape stairs up to the building's roof. After spending a little time in Hell, with the right advice from a demon, you'll know travelling by roof top and allys helps you avoid crowded areas and traffic on mainstreets plus helps lessen time taken to get one point to another. About twenty five minutes later, I climbed down some fire escape stairs of a building by Hell's palace. I walked over to the palace gates and knocked on it "WHO IS IT?" a rough voice snapped "It's me, dipshit" I responded, soon the gate opened up to reveal a guard who had a massively displeasing look on his face "You can't answer like that all the fucking time-" "Oh, but would you know it's actually me?" I said in an innocent 'hurt' voice as I smirked at the guard. "Fucking smartass" he mumbled, closing the gate behind me as I walked over to the 'front door' of the palace, walking inside.
The palace can be hard to navigate around, even if you've been in Hell a year or two, to you've been in the palace at least ten or twenty times, you're bound to get lost in here. Even the guards can get lost in here from time to time, sometimes it's hilarious yet other times it's down right sad. However, as soon as I woke up in Hell, I immediately could walk around the palace without getting lost whatsoever... and that's something me and Death kind of tested in the two weeks I actually trusted him and considered him a 'friend'. He'd blindfold me and lead me to a room or corridor within the palace he would assume I've never been in then test me on naming where I am and how to get back to the front door, and I never got anything wrong. And to think that we immediately got bored of doing that.
I walked down a couple of corridors before reaching the Eclipse Wing's 'Hall of Murals', seeing Gamer staring at the murals again yet with Euanthe by his side... I don't get why this room is the first one he goes to once stepping foot in the palace. I mean yeah, I spent one day staring at the Reaper Wing Murals, but still... this room can't be that interesting. "Weird, isn't it?" I turned my head to see Death walking over to me "He always insist coming to this room first" Death told me as I looked back at the fallen "Well didn't he spend two weeks covered in burnt ash and rotting feathers under one of the murals?" I questioned as Death signed. "Good point... you ready to go?" he asked "That's the only reason why I'm here" I answered, turning around and walking back down the corridor with Death by my side. Yeah... I only came to the palace to meet up with Death since he had to 'drop off' the fallen angel here... I agreed to help him track down this shadow walker thief that stole from him a week ago. But best bets are that the thief already spent it all on useless crap yet Death insists another theory. "You really think this shadow walker works for someone?" I questioned Death as we walked out of the front door of the palace "When you have someone betting two thousand over and over gain at your casino after that exact amount of money is stolen, then yes" Death answered. We walked out of the gates and down a street towards Sreeburn Plaza "So you recon that the thief's boss was mocking you by constantly playing two thousand each round?" "That's what it looked like" Death answered as we turned right onto another street. "I still think you should put up a 'no mask' rule at the casino" I told Death "And what about Gamer?" "...good point" I signed, Gamer's current mask is only a large amount of pitch black eyeshadow around his eyes, and without that, he'd be looking like a bloody angel again and paint a even bigger target on his back. Like anyone needs several repeats of drunken ass demons and devils trying to lay hands on an angel every week... it's annoyingly disgusting how most people act around those referred to as 'innocents'.
"Excuse me!" I turned my head as a hooded girl ran over to me "Can you tell me how to get to Sreeburn Plaza?" the girl asked, voice sounding as though she had been running for a while "Angel-" "Sure, just two streets down and turn left" I told her as Death tried to get my attention "Angel, that's-" "Thank you" the girl said, before running off- I felt a strong tug on my belt, a bit of weight lifting off it. "Angel- that's the thief!" Death snapped before running after her as I felt around... she just took- I bolted after them yet quickly climbed up a ladder onto a building's roof and followed after them up there. I was soon able to catch up before the girl turned into an ally with a dead end, yet that didn't stop her from shadow-walking through the wall to the other side... she can only shadow-walk short distances, which is good yet now Death's unable to follow her "Angel-" "On it!" I told him as I continued to follow the girl.
One Hour Later
I stayed hidden in an ally, watching a building as Death finally caught up "Hey, where is she?" he asked before I nodded to the building across the street "In there... ready to go in?" I asked "You're going in too?" "She took a hundred from me only just an hour ago" I told Death "I'm getting that fucking money back one way or another".
