Ann: If you
want to go to the music classroom and the band group you can either go through
that route outside the building, which is the main way really, or you can go
through the passage that connects the gym with the music class
Ann: the cool guys go through those ones
Ann: So I guess there is that? I don’t know if it matters
Ciir: Who are these “cool guys”?
Ann: they are the band
Ann: I say cool guy because usually, you know?
Ciir: …..
Ann: band members are usually cool
Ciir: I didn’t know
It’s pretty
late already. Though they spent most of their day in this School Tour Ann did
not take any information on this new guy. Being already at the end of the tour,
Ann needs to step up her game.
“he did not burn” Ann looks him up and down “nor did he shine, so at least a
vampire he is not.”
Ann: Two of the members of the most known band of the school were in our class today
Ann: They play in pretty popular festivals
Ciir: They must be pretty happy
Ann: I think so
Ann: I would be
Ciir: Do you…
Ciir: Do you mean in like…
Ciir: you wanted to have a band?
Ann: Oh no hahaha
Ann: having a band is not for me
Ann: I guess what I think is cool is the recognition you know?
Ann: its like they are celebrities around here
Ann: people like them
Ann: I think that is neat
Ciir: yes
Ciir: to be liked and recognized, anybody would want that.
Ciir: isn’t there another group that interested you?
Ciir: that could make you a celebrity?
A moment of silence. The ball of skepticism was passed to Ann and with that, the stern look that follows it.
Ciir: I say
that because I was thinking about which group I could participate and wanted to
hear your opinion
Ann: Yeah, I don’t REALLY want to be a celebrity
Ann: but maybe you’d like it
Ann: I think entering a group is a good way to make friends
Ann: Specially considering you know nobody here
Ciir: Oh in my way here I met one guy that was in the classroom with us
Ann: Who?
Ciir: Jason or whatever, I don’t recall his name, the dude with the glasses.
Ciir: pretty slim and tall
Ciir: short hair?
Ciir: he looks average
Ann: oh
Ann: I never meet him when I walk here
Ann: cool tho, what did you talk about?
Ciir: nothing much
Ann: oh
Ann: also
Ann: You didn’t tell me where you are from
Ciir looks up, left and after a couple of seconds, not many but also not the normal for when somebody is supposed to answer something obvious, answers.
Ciir:
Brasil
Ann: Where from Brazil?
Ciir: I’m from São Paulo state
Ann: What is the name of the city
Ann is facing up, looking down like if she is a cop interrogating him.
Ciir: São
paulo as well
Ann: you are from Sao Paulo of Sao Paulo
Ciir: yes, why?
Ann: nothing, just thought it was unusual this combination of names
The ball of skepticism is passed to Ciir, now he looks down, eyes squint and a stern face
Ann: Why
did you come here?
Ciir: Business
Ciir: you said earlier you walk to school, do you live nearby?
Ann: enough to walk here at least
Ann: did you feel that the school here is different than your previous one?
Ann: In Brazil
Ciir: they are pretty alike
Ann: Because I heard they were really different
Ciir: the schools in the South and southeast are different
Ciir: Is there something in this school you think it’d be good for me to know?
Ann: Like what?
Ciir: I don’t know, if there were a sensitive subject I’d avoid it
Ciir: relationship problems, fights and whatever
Ann: No there aren’t
Ciir: everything is pretty nice here then?
Ann: Yes
Ciir: No problems?
Ann: No
Silence
again. Both seem skeptical. Both are staring at each other.
Ann: well that was all I had to show you
Ciir: That was a nice tour
Ciir: Thanks Ann
Ann: No problem, it was nice get to knowing you
Ciir: I think I’ll be heading home
Ciir: Bye Ann
Ann: Bye Ciir
-
In the way
home, everything is tinted with the red from the sky, cloudless. Ann is focused
on her thoughts until she looks at her left.
two living beings, A cat and a kid, from this morning, playing together.
