Ann: I’m
home
the door behind her closes, she looks around and up, finds two souls upstair
and, what she presumes to be, her mom’s downstairs, walking towards Ann
Ann’s mother: Hi Ann!!
Ann’s mother greets her, albeit being joyfully like always it’s evident she is tired from her house work. You don’t know her name and, until it is referenced in the story, unfortunately, you won’t know it. No short cuts. No “meta gaming” and I’ll not be going out of my way to force an interaction to get her name to you, sorry but won’t happen. Eventually you will learn it the natural way like we normally do in real life. Until then, no cheats.
Ann’s
mother: Why are you doing that face?
Ann: what face?
Ann’s mother: Your eyes are almost popping out of their sockets
Ann’s mother: Was it stressing? The first day of school?
Ann: No, no
Ann: It was fine
Ann: I just feel tired
Ann: It must be that the holidays made me unused to going to school
Ann’s mother: May be
Ann’s mother: Did you meet all your friends?
Ann’s mother: 😊
Ann: Yeah, they were all pretty happy
Ann: we all hugged a lot
Ann’s mother: that is pretty nice hahaha
Ann’s mother: when you get to university you will miss these times
Ann: yeah…
Ann’s
mother: anyway
Ann’s mother: Are you hungry? I left the dinner in the table
Ann: yeah I am, thanks mom
Ann’s mother: I left your remedy next to the cup, I’ll be going to bed
Ann’s mother: Sorry I don’t get to have dinner with you but I’m pretty tired
Ann: It’s ok, I don’t mind
Ann’s mother: ok sweethear, goodnight
Ann: Good night mom
At the table. Ann eats her dinner, everything is chill, she is relaxed. Ann loves these moments alone where se can reflect on her life. It’s all pretty relaxing. Her life has been relaxing all the time, it has been too relaxing. She glances at her remedies. Maybe it shouldn’t be this relaxing, it sounds like this is the time to be nervous and paranoid. This new guy, he is not normal and he may be dangerous.
She grabs the remedy between her thumb and index finger. Turns it, analyses it.
He MAY BE DANGEROUS, she may need to be paranoid. Her mind should create decisions used as weapons against him, even if that means they would be used against her as well.
She burrows the remedy in the napkin and hides it in he pocket for hide in a better place later. She finishes eating, clean the dishes and head to her room.
To sleep.
But today she does not.
She thinks.
And she thinks A LOT.
You’d think she is trying to track down every particles in her window if you did not know her eyes are popped because she is scared, My god that new guy, Ciir is definitely not normal, he is definitely a monster, which means not good. He may kill, he is probably going to kill.
In this point it’s not jumping to conclusion, he is soulless, it’s not prejudice, she knows he does not have a soul. What that means? Does he not have feelings? Morals? Principles? Would he kill? What are his goals? Why is he in the school? He must want something in the school, he could have planned something.
He could have planned something
In the bathroom he spent a long time in.
He may have done something to that cat and that kid.
He may be powerful like a demon.
He may have planted something in the bathroom, maybe even something magical.
Ann should at least go see it. But it’s Night, she looks at the alarm, it’s 3 am. But she knows he is a monster, she is the only one that knows he is something bad and that he was in the bathroom.
Ann sits fast in her bed, put her shoes and stops. She is still thinking.
It’s already so so late, or so so early. Is she going to get out of her house to go to her school’s bathroom because she thinks this guy is a monster? But she KNOWS this guy is a monster and KNOWS he did something.
She gets up.
She needs to do something
She goes out the front door and leaves.
“no one’s soul is around, I’m alone.” Ann is near her school, slitherin, sneaking towards the outside man’s bathroom. “I would not be able to see Ciir if he was here.” She doubles on the sneaking part.
Gets inside
the bathroom, her vision suddenly becomes blurry. The corners of her vision
darkens. She looses control of her breathing pattern she is hyperventilating. Trying
to control herself Ann walks slowly through the man’s bathroom, looking for
something out of place.
Everything is dark which enhance the
brightness of the faraway souls of the people in their homes.
The mirror reflects a stressed and agitated girl, looking, in each stall, her hand close to her chest, for anything.
“what am I doing here? There is nothing here. There should be something here. I should have taken my remedies. But I KNOW he does not have a soul, I KNOW he is different. This is not the lack of remedy speaking.”
Without a rigid emotional column to hold herself in she uses the dirty sink instead. Looks at herself.
“I can’t find anything, but I KNOW there is something here.” She directs her vision towards the fire extinguisher.
“in case there is nothing”
She grabs it, removes out of it’s place.
“then there will still be nothing”
She looks at her own reflection
“but if there was something and I decided to do nothing about it, I, knowing of it, would have let it happen”
Ann then proceeds to smash and break everything in that bathroom, as desperately as you could imagine she was, fast, nervous, trying not to think about it, trying not to stop. Breaks the stalls, the toilets, the sink, the mirror.
She is breaking
