A boy sits there barely able to breathe, unable to focus on anything around him. He can't tell left from right or up from down, hell it's unlikely he can even tell where he is but none of that matters to him right now. All he wants is to get the stupid muzzle off his face, it hurts and it reminds him of that day.
He sobs, his cries doing little to help his situation. No matter how many tears he forms they won't wash away the sadness or the pain, and he knows that, he knows that there's no point in crying but what else could he possibly do. He hated his life but those tears were the only things that could ever soothe him to sleep.
Some days the tears wouldn't come, other days he'd have the most difficult time trying to stop them, they've always been useless but one thing was sure, for every tear he shed a little of his faith in humanity shed with it. Why was he so unlucky, why was he the one subjected to this kind of life, why couldn't he just be a normal kid like everyone else? It's not like he would ever get honest answers to those questions, the answer will always be because he's a villian, but what makes him a villian. Is it his hair, the messy tuffs that float above his head. Or maybe its his eyes, the peircing indigo colour or the bags that lay underneath them. It could be his personality, the fact that he keeps to himself and is antisocial.
Or is it his quirk, the quirk that he was born with, that he had no choice over, the quirk he's barely ever used too afraid of getting judged. He doesn't socialise because he knows where he stands, no one wants to talk to a villian or be close to one. Is that why they decide to give him more of a reason to become a villian, except Hitoshi isn't that type of person. He might be losing faith in humanity but that doesn't mean he'll ever become a villian, he'll just have to prove humanity wrong by becoming a hero instead, but first he needs to get the stupid muzzle of his face.
It was made specially for him and has been passed around from person to person just like he has, it's like some free accessory that comes with him, except it's a muzzle and not an accessory. It's a requirement now for everyone of his foster parents to be given the muzzle, they were to use it whenever they deemed necessary. Each time though the same thing would happen, he'd be brought back to that day, that day he so desperately wanted to forget, that day that always leaves him hyperventilating on the ground every time he remembers it. When any of his foster parents were to see this, they either didn't care or ignored him, cause he was 'just being dramatic'.
Hitoshi wasn't sure what was so dramatic about having a panic attack, or maybe they thought that he was acting, but if anyone actually took the time to know him then they would know he couldn't act to save his life. Even if they didn't know him though, people with the slightest bit of compassion would be able to tell the immense pain and trauma he's going through just by looking at his face. They'd be able to tell the agony and torture he feels through his screams. Anyone with even the slightest bit of compassion would be able to tell that this wasn't someone acting.
Of course as time goes on his screams increase, and as his screams increase his foster parents only leave the muzzle on for longer. Not even the various green objects around him can calm him down, green like his hair. Maybe it was that longing for his saviour that made him mistake a greenete walking across the street for Karma. Maybe it was his lack of oxygen that made him stupid enough to go outside at this time of night and run after the greenete. Maybe it was the blurriness from the tears in his eyes that made him lose them and walk into an alleyway, a place that he swore he would never go close to again.
There was no doubt it was his terrible luck that caused him to end up getting attacked. He stumbled across a scene he shouldn't have and now he was going to get taken too. What made it even worse is that he still had his muzzle on and was unable to defend himself, but even without it he'd still be hyperventilating and on the verge of passing out as that day comes back to haunt him, except this time it was real and not a dream.
Maybe it was also his luck that caused a somehow familiar boy to come swooping down to save him, or it could be a hallucination, that would make more sense considering the little oxygen he was getting. Hallucination or not Hitoshi just wanted everything to dissappear, everything was to much for him and the muzzle was still on his face.
The hallucination kicks the kidnapper in the stomach, his green hair shimmering in the stretlight. He pushes the kidnapper away from the little child that lays unconscious on the floor. Hitoshi was barely hanging on himself, constantly drifting in and out of consciousness but he was able to make out parts of the scene infront of him. Overall it looked like the hallucination was winning but everything was going rather slow since it's movements were limited in the small space and with too many people around. Eventually though Hitoshi completely lost consciousness, his future unsure. The only thing he knew for sure was that that was the most rest he's gotten in quite some time.
This chapter is pretty long and it was really hard for me to split into two cause i didn't want to split it in the middle of a section so this will probably be published in three different parts
Since the arrival of All Might crime rates have decreased significantly in Japan, but there's still one problem hero's are unable to do anything about. Corruption in the government has led to the increase of child trafficking, so much so that any child is lucky to not have been kidnapped by the age of 6.
What hero's are unable to do though is easily done by the vigilante Karma, a hero to the people. Unbound by the law he can freely try to put an end to this rein of terror, that is if he doesn't get caught.
