Lex stepped forwards as Anouke trekked behind him. He heard him whisper a protection spell under his breath. His eyes darted to Anouke, watching him as he began to fight against Dayle. He stared back at Akuma, feeling no fear of fighting now. Maybe it was because he was fighting his worst enemy, or because a little time had passed, but he wanted to fight him. Maybe that was just the Demon left in his body which was slowly being drained away by the power of his new Angelic self. Whatever it was, he didn’t have time to think about it.
Akuma glared at him with those ravishing and striking, but remorseless, cold-blooded, golden and red eyes rimmed with black. Lex frowned but also stared back, scowling. He took a fighting stance. He pulled his leg back which gave him a slight crouch and he held his fists high, above his face but just below his eyes.
As if this would just be a fist fight.
Before it started, Akuma stood still and straight, taking no fighting stance. He held out his hand. “Why don’t you become a Demon again, Lex?” He asked sarcastically.“No, thanks.” Lex replied, equally sarcastic – but he obviously meant the answer.
“Very well,” Akuma sighed and shrugged. “I guess I’ll just have to kill you then.” He stated calmly, as if killing his son was just as simple and easy as killing an Angel in The Angels Antagonism. Especially for the Devil.
Akuma hopped up and swung his leg down at Lex’s head, moving haphazardly. Though Lex couldn’t really keep track of him with how fast his movements were, he unintentionally slanted his head and moved his body to the side. Akuma flipped in the air and landed on his feet. At the same time, Lex thrust his arm at Akuma. He slipped out of the way.
This was going to be a long, tiring fight.
His moves were all smooth and serene. It looked like he had certain etiquette for fighting. “Tch.” Lex rumbled. Bastard. Why is he so difficult and fast? “In all my years,” Akuma began. “I’ve never gotten to kill a Demon!” He barked, excited. As he spoke, his lengthy, acutely-pointed teeth overlaid his lips. He licked them as if there was succulent blood dripping from there. He smiled corruptly.
He leaped in the air and spread his arms out like they were wings, still keeping his menacing smile and minacious eyes fixed on his. His body span once and at the same time he kicked towards Lex. However, he blocked it by using the top of his arm to shove his leg out of the way. He dropped to the floor on his feet, his head hung low. He didn’t allow a second of time to pass by before he began to attack next. His feet pointed towards Lex and his fist came launching in, aiming for his stomach. Lex’s arm dived towards his arms and pointed his nails towards it. His claws split the Devils skin on his wrist and he began pushing down.
His body was so tough, it was unbelievable. His hand wouldn’t move anymore, but he kept trying nonetheless. Akuma kept his arm there as if mocking how weak he was. His arm was shaking as he was holding it there though. The blood trickled down his wrist and splattered on the ground like a rain droplet. Akuma and Lex stared at each other.
Akuma’s face lit up with a great smile, eyes gleaming like a panther hunting in the slick of night. “I just don’t get it.” Akuma mentioned. “Why won’t you become a Demon, hm? I just can’t comprehend it. Not when only the chosen ones can become Demons.” He said aloud, as if letting the whole world know. Or just the human town. It was a surprise nobody had woken up. Why was that?
He may say that and be right, but I didn’t have the chance to decline the offer to become a Demon. I only do now. Though, he does say it as if I had a choice – like I wasn’t going to be born a Demon. Stupid Devil! Akuma launched his other fist back, his other arm still holding up Lex’s talons. He swung it towards his face. Lex’s eyes widened. In a split second, he managed to raise his arm up, let go of Akuma’s, and push it away. He felt like he was going to be sick. He had never fought this much before and especially not with somebody so strong. For the first time, Lex was using his full power. Though, he could tell that Akuma was playing with him, taunting him. He wasn’t at all using his full power. If he was, Lex guessed that he’d already be dead. He gritted his teeth and his whole body tensed up. I’m giving this my all. If he wants to play with me, so be it. I’ll take advantage of that and kill him myself. Yes, I may be a Demon right now, but after this is all over, no matter how long it takes, I will make it and allow myself to relax so that I won’t become a Demon again. It may be my more powerful ‘form’, but I don’t like it. And when we get out of here, Anouke and I can teach each other different and more skills.
My Angel will become stronger. The strongest me.
“Argh!” Lex yelled out, frustrated. Akuma kept using the same punches and kicks but at the same time it was unpredictable. He threw his hand out towards Lex and he blocked it with the both of his arms. He looked at his ghastly smile, an overwhelming smell of power and arrogance. “Watching the hideous decline of someone blessed with extraordinary powers…” Akuma began, his fist still upon Lex’s arms, pushing harder and harder as his strength began to increase a little. He might have gotten a little irked. Lex’s eyes were wide but sharp; pupils thin in anger, pointed. “It pains me!” He moved his arm back a little and lurched his arm back with a pallid and sickly grin. “I can’t bear it!”
Lex knew what he was talking about. His Bai Ze powers. As if he really thought they were extraordinary. He probably only wants me back because that power will be beneficial. Yet he may still be fighting me because he’s debating what to do with me. If he brought me back to The Angels Antagonism base, Demons may rebel against him for trusting such a creature. After all, Bai Ze’s are on the human side, aren’t they?
As soon as Akuma moved his fist forward, Lex hit it away with his own punch. It was like child’s play. After that, they were a breadth away from each other. Their noses nearly touching. Lex had a clenched jaw with gritted teeth on show, whilst Akuma was smirking. Loose strands of hair tangled together. “While you’re still young and strong,” Akuma inaugurated. “Your life should be cut short.” He finished and tilted his head up to show he was stronger. Lex clamped his teeth strenuously.
Lex took a step back and decided he would attack first this time. His long, turquoise hair swirled in the wind. He was partially an Angel, but also partially Demon. He had fangs and talons with darkening eyes. Yet, his hair was still long and blue-ish grey. He let out a loud, gruff sound. Adrenaline pulsed through his veins. “Urgh!” He gnarled the drawn-out sound. “Agh!” He shouted as he finally finished his attack. His magic! I… am doomed. I… am doomed. He told himself, the fiery spirit once alight blown out like a candle. Akuma stretched out his hands and fingers, flexing his knuckles before vigorously closing his hand into a fist. He punched out at the air, far away from Lex and still high up.
Lex’s eyes darted from left to right to forwards as he watched the flurried attack come straight for him with swift speed. But due to the distance – although it was limited – between them, the conjuration took its time to come. Lex was waiting for it. He couldn’t see it. He stood with his arms moderately raised.
The incursion hit him right in the gut. As it finally hit him, a colour of lava bloomed around him before vanishing. He made a heaving sound as he instinctively gulped down air like a thirsted human. His eyes widened at the shock and extreme power of it. He felt sick. He staggered backwards. While suffering the competence of the magic Lex had never heard of before, Akuma took the chance to up the situation.
He threw another two punches, one after the other, with more force this time. They hurdled down the sky quicker and blasted into Lex. It caused him to move backwards and he suppressed the urge to heave. He realized he had casted two so went to move to the right but the second one had already reached him, slamming into his ribs.
Lex settled into a fighting stance, heart thumping, blood pulsating. He opened his mouth to breathe in a deep breath of air then closed his mouth tightly. In that case… Lex thought. Akuma was on the ground now. He started to sprint towards Lex, all the while throwing punches at the air with a battle cry. Punch after punch after punch. Lex knew he had no chance. “Demons Wrath.” Lex voiced. This was his own magic now. He used his two arms to form a wide circle around him. The blasts seemed like they never came.
His power wasn’t wrath, though, that was just the name of it.
“Ah, my son is using the magic I taught him.” Akuma said, as if trying to get Lex to stop using it since it was Akuma who taught him how to use his magic.
“I don’t give a shit.” Lex said with utmost certainty. “You may look like an innocent flower, but really you’re the serpent under.” Lex declared.
Akuma stopped speaking. If he strikes the air… the attack will still reach me. Lex thought to himself, reciting what had happened and tried to make sense of the situation to empower him with smartness. However, it wasn’t like Akuma wasn’t smart either. He hauled himself into the air, span and kicked the air and then punched it with another whoop. Lex did the same again and whispered a protection spell. His strikes are travelling instantly now.
Lex’s arms were aching. He’d never moved so much. He watched as the lava-looking air melted just in front of him, stopping due to his defensive magic of ‘Demons Wrath.’ Akuma flipped in the air – probably unnecessarily – showing off. He whipped his shirt off and chucked it to the ground, exposing his muscled abdomen and broad shoulders. He stood there for a moment, smug smirk on his face as he stood quite distanced from Lex.
There was dreading silence until Lex interrupted it by thinking out his next moves. I can’t get close enough to slice his head off. That’s the only way to kill the Devil. Rip out his heart and slice the neck. If only one of those actions is completed, then he’ll be locked in Hell for some time, only to be freed again. So, both actions needed to be done.
Lex sighed, looking at the self-satisfied and egotistical Devil standing before him. Very well… He dragged his leg back. Akuma stayed still, waiting to see what happened. He shot towards him like a bullet out of a gun. He kicked up a cloud of earth and dust. He was squatted down. Lex looked up at his neck whilst Akuma absorbed the scene unfolding in front of him with wide eyes. Close fighting it is! He struck his arm up, extended talons reaching for his neck, ready to slice it.
“Those reflexes!” Akuma chanted. “Great!” He cheered as he leant his body out of the way and tilted his head. He’d suddenly changed, praising Lex instead of insulting him. But Lex had already predicted the game he was playing. He was trying to persuade Lex to join him by unexpectedly being the kind and caring father he should have been. Lex was no way in hell falling for his games.
He yelled out, swinging
again with an angered, frustrated and pained look on his face. The Demon/Angel
was using his magic and so was the Devil. He was using Hell Bound and Lex was
using Demons Wrath, only the defensive side of it until he found an opening to
fight with his powers. Their moves were too fast to keep track of, arms moving
at scintillating speed, magnificently moving with devastatingly perfect
accuracy.
Lex looked over at Anouke despite the situation he was in himself. His body on autopilot as he avoided Akumas jabs. He saw Anouke injured and it aggravated him. It only triggered him furthermore. He wanted to scream. “Don’t bother with that weakling!” Akuma ordered and forced Lex to face him with a different attack. Lex cut through his arm with his claws and blood squirted from his arm but Akuma didn’t care at all.
“Show me your strength!” He shouted again, ordering Lex
to listen. His body couldn’t move on autopilot now since he was testing Lex
with different moves. He saw Akuma jump towards him and Lex veered his arm
towards where he was coming. Akuma overturned in the air, pushed off from Lex’s
arms and skidded on the mud.
“Keep your eyes on
me.” Akuma demanded.
If this was an awfully different scenario, his words would have sounded seductive. Lex blew out a short breath, ready to fight. He charged towards him with a small shout and swiped his talons at him. Akuma danced over his attack and landed with his back to Lex. He soon turned around, re-greeting Lex with a ‘Hell Bound’ powered punch. He blocked it though it caused him to slide back. Akuma launched himself into the shadows of the forest.
All that were saw were his hungry fangs accompanying a smile. His gleaming, stunning yet vulgar eyes with his pupils were a portrait of a crescent moon sinking over the horizon, laughing as it did so. As Akuma landed, his power circulating through his body caused trees to sway and roots to crack as if they were in a treacherous blizzard.
