Jazmin POV

    I'm not sure what it is, but there's something off about Josh, I don't know what it is. I want to believe Jt, that he's bad news. But I get mixed signals. He feels harmless, but at the same time I sense danger. Maybe I need to investigate. If he's trouble, the Cougars could need my family's help dealing with him.

End Jazmin POV

"Jazmin wake up, wake up" her mother was saying as she was tapping her softly. After her mother woke her up she hopped right in the shower and got ready for school. She walked out the door and saw Jt waiting at the corner. 

"Soo did you call him?" Jt asked as if he was a smart ass. 

"No not yet but I will." She replied. This time they took a different route to school. they passed this house with a rancid odor coming from the basement. It was a beautiful blue house with a white door and wood shutters. Jt walked up to the house next to it . luckily the wind was blowing the smell away from them. 

"Stay here." Jt told Jazmin. KNOCK KNOCK Jt slammed his fist to the door. The door swings open with a guy the same age as Jt. he stood in the doorway with nothing but a towel around his waist. "Hey" Jt said to the guy.

"Hey" he said back. Jt turned around and said "Jazmin this is Paul, Paul this is Jazmin." Paul walked down the steps and shook Jazmin's hand. "nice to meet you." he said. Jazmin leaned over to Jt and whispered in his ear. 

"He is a hottie!" She said.

"Well too bad he's my hottie!!" Jt replied. Jazmin's jaw dropped. it got quiet for a couple seconds.

Jazmin POV

    Oh my, I couldn't help but chuckle, a Cougar and a Timber Wolf couple. That's the silliest mix I've ever heard of, but at the same time I could only imagine how if they were able to have children together they would look.

End Jazmin POV

 "Come on in." Paul said to Jazmin and Jt. 

"Don't your parents know you're letting us in?" Jazmin asked nervously 

"Nope I'm emancipated, have been for a while now." Paul replied. 

"That's soo cool!" She said. 

" OK, go get dressed for school!" Jt yelled at Paul, and Jazmin giggled.

"OK MOM!!!" he said as he walked up the stairs. Jazmin was laughing under her breath. 

"So can ya tell me about Josh yet?" she asked Jt. he never answered he just put his hand in his temple and rubbed. 

"Alright let's go!" Paul said enthusiastically. They all walked to school again and during all Jazmin's classes she was thinking about her dream about Josh. a couple teachers scolded her for daydreaming. At lunch her Jt and Paul stopped at the cafe talking. Then Josh walked up to all of them and only addressed Jazmin. 

"Soo....you been thinking about me?" He asked. 

"Umm no" she replied kind of disgustedly. 

"Well why don't you give me a ring later, OK baby." Josh said more as an order than a will you.

Paul POV

    What's going on here I wonder. She doesn't seem to trust him, but she isn't weary of him either. We're gonna have to keep an eye on the situation. Maybe the Djinn could help.

End Paul POV

"What a jackass!" Jt said after he had walked away. 

"I don't know, I kinda like it when guys are in control." Jazmin admitted. 

"Well his kind of control is not very attractive in any way!" Paul said. 

"What?!" Jazmin asked. 

"Shh" Jt hissed. 

"Well she's gonna know sooner or later" Paul said. 

"Yea well later will be better than sooner!" Jt yelled. 

"OK lets just drop the whole thing because I know that Jt wont tell me anyway so why get him all worked up." Jazmin said with a little attitude. The lunch bell rang and they all headed off to class. Later that night Jazmin sat on the couch with the phone in her hand deciding whether to call Josh or not. Then the phone rang just as she was about to press talk. 

"Hello?" Jazmin said. 

"Hi this is Megan Johnson's mom , I was wondering if you have seen her?" The lady said over the phone. 

"No I haven't, why is everything OK?" Jazmin said even though she didn't know Megan she was still worried. 

"No, we haven't seen our daughter in three days!" she said as she started to cry. 

"Oh ma'am, I'm sorry I haven't seen her." Jazmin replied. 

"Thank you for your time" the lady said quietly as she put the phone down you could hear her say "that was the last person in town" Jazmin felt bad for the family but she had other things to sort out. She wondered if it may have something to do with Josh so she finally got up the courage to call up Josh.

"Hello" Josh answered the phone. 

"Hey, it's me Jazmin." she said. 

"Oh hey what's up?" he asked kind of like he's occupied or busy with someone Else. 

"Nothing much, how about you?" She said. 

"Oh same ol routine" he said like he was proud. 

"Should I call back later? you sound busy." Jazmin asked. 

"No its OK I can still talk" as he said that Jazmin heard a big splash in the background. 

"What was that?" she asked as if she were concerned. 

"Oh just some Friends jumping in the river." he responded. 

"Oh OK"Jazmin said. They talked for a Lil bit then Jazmin told Josh she had to go and they hung up. Jazmin fell in and out of sleep. Having terrible dreams about Josh trying to kill her. The last time she woke up she stayed up. She had had dreams like these before. Jazmin took a shower and went down stairs and ate breakfast. Then watched TV till it was time to go meet up with Jt. "Hey Jt how are ya today?"Jazmin asked. 

"I'm good, thanks u?" He asked. 

"Same.''Jazmin said. The two of them walked to Paul's and then to school and on their own ways. Jazmin was getting yelled at by the teacher for daydreaming about Josh again. When lunch came Jazmin went with Josh somewhere. When school was over Jazmin met up with Jt, Paul,and another attractive guy. Jt noticed that Jazmin was looking at his friend. 

"Jazmin Darius, Darius Jazmin." Jt said. Jazmin leaned over to Jt.

"He's a hottie.....is he yours too." She asked that last part teasingly. 

"No and ain't ya with Josh?"Jt said. 

"Well sorta, but I can still say guys are hotties." She said just as Josh came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Come on babe don't hang with these dweebs." He said and pulled her away from them. 

"bye guys nice meeting you Darius." She said and went with Josh.

Jazmin POV

    I hate keeping things from people, but I feel this is something I need to do on my own for now. I'll let them know when I need their help. Darius will definitely be able to help.

End Jazmin POV

"She's with Josh?" Darius said. 

"Yea." Paul said. 

"Don't she know that he's bad news?"Darius asked. 

"I haven't told her about it yet." Jt said. 

"You have to yo." Darius said.

"He will when the time is right." Paul said defending his boyfriend. 

"OK yo. I'm just sayin" Darius said watching Jazmin walk off with Josh. I don't get why they haven't told her yet...well she will find out soon enough. She's kinda cute ill just warn her myself He thought and Paul and Jt seemed to know what he was thinking.

Darius POV

    Well, I hear about the Dragon girl from Jt and Paul, but they didn't say she had anything to do with Josh. Can't she feel something is off with him? but I suppose he does hide his intent well, it is somewhat hard to get a read on him.  I guess the only thing I can do is become a very good friend to her in the mean time.

End Darius POV

"You can't warn her not yet she'll figure it out herself" Jt said. 

"OK i wont tell her." Darius said.

That night when Jazmin got home Jt, Paul and Darius were sitting on her porch.

"Hi guys." She said cheerfully but they could see something was wrong. Oh no he's already getting tired of her. 

"What's wrong Jaz?"Jt asked. 

"Nothin Jt I'm fine" But she was holding herself around the waist and Darius, not thinking, got up and took her in his arms and she started crying. 

"Shh, it's OK."He said and repeated it while running his hand down the back of her head. Then he led her to the porch and sat her down on the porch swing and sat next to her with one arm around her. She didn't seem to notice. 

"What happened, Jaz?" Jt asked. 

"I don't really know he came up behind me with a string and put it around my neck and.......and......I just freaked and when I turned around to see what he was putting around my neck he looked pissed and he had a piece of rope in his hands."Jazmin said. Darius looked at them and they decided it was time to tell her. 

"Uh Jazmin.......Josh........he.........he... he kills his girlfriends when he gets tired of them or if they try to dump him"Jt said. 

Jazmin POV

    This is something they should have told me, I would have been more vigilant in my assessment of Josh. This frustrates me, he's hiding his essence and I have no idea what he is, oh top of that he was able to sneak up behind me is troubling, not many breeds can manage that.

End Jazmin POV

"What!!!!! why didn't you tell me this before I went out with him" She shrieked. Luckily her parents weren't home.  

"I know I should have but you would never have believed it then."Jt said. Jazmin, now noticing the arm around her shoulders, turned her face to the person who it belonged to and buried her face into his sweatshirt and started to cry. Darius just let her do it. Paul and Jt looked at each other and thought the same thing, he didn't even let his girlfriends cry on his sweatshirt' . When Jazmin finished crying she lifted her face and noticed she had kinda soaked the spot she had been crying.

"Oh I'm Sorry I didn't mean....." She was cut off by Darius. 

"It's ight I don't mind." He said, smiling down at her. Darius was about 6 feet tall. He has a medium build but very muscular at the same time. He has blue eyes and brown hair, baggy faded blue jeans with holes in the knee's and a dark blue sweatshirt.

"Well guys I've gotta get some sleep even if it is the weekend I want to get some sleep." Jazmin said. Darius wrote something down on a piece of paper and handed it to her and whispered in her ear.

"Call me if you need help, OK." He said.

"I will." She whispered back and smiled then got up, said goodnight to the boys and went inside. Jazmin went up to her room and sat on her bed. What was it that he gave me? Jazmin opens the piece of paper to see a phone number written and something else. 'If you need anything just call me and I'll come. this is my cell number by the way.' he gave me his phone number.......I cant get to sleep right now I'm gonna call him and see if he'll talk to me. She thought and picked up her cell phone and dialed Darius' number. When he answered she said.. "Hi Darius......no no nothing is wrong....I just wanted someone to talk to. I can't get to sleep...........yea my parents are out for the week why.............oh! yea that would be fine. I kinda don't want to be alone anyway Josh knows where I live and........OK I'll see you soon then...Darius.... and thanks.....OK see ya soon bye...." and she hung up.

Jazmin walked downstairs to wait for Darius. There was a knock on the door and when she opened it she thought it would be Darius but Josh was standing there and pushed his way into her house and hit her. She got scared and tried to get to her phone up stairs to call Darius. but Josh grabbed her and pinned her beneath him and kept hitting her till she went limp. He got up and walked out thinking she was dead.

Jazmin POV

    I should have noticed it wasn't Darius, there was no essence, Darius never hides his essence, he has a super unique essence it would be hard to miss.

End Jazmin POV

 As soon as the door was shut she jumped up, ran up stairs and called Darius to tell him to hurry. Then she went back down stairs to wait. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door. Jazmin went and looked out seeing that it was Darius, she opened the door and went right into his arms and started crying again. 

"Whoa what happened?" He asked. She pulled away from him and let him in then she locked the door. They sat down on the couch and she told him everything that happened and he held her in his arms comforting her. A few minutes later he noticed that she had fallen asleep in his arms. Since he didn't know where her room was, he laid down on the couch with her and let her sleep, soon he started to get tired and he fell asleep himself. The next day Jazmin woke up with an arm around her waist. She almost freaked out thinking it was Josh till she remembered that she had called Darius and that she had locked the door. She still turned slowly only to see Darius fast asleep beside her. He stayed all night. He didn't have to do that. He could have put me in my room and left. She thought and got up leaving Darius asleep on the couch. Jazmin went up stairs and got dressed then came back down to see that Darius had woken up. 

"I didn't wake you, did I Darius?"Jazmin asked. 

"No Jazmin you didn't, the lack of warmth did." He said blushing slightly.
