The twinkle in his eyes
The way he looks at me.
No way to describe
Just what he does to me.
I want him so bad
But he'll never know.
I know that it's sad,
The emotions that I stow.
There's nothing I can do
When I see him smile like that.
Not quite ready to say, "I love you."
When I'm not the one his smile's directed at.
I see the way he looks at her
And that makes it clear
That she makes him feel fuller
Than I could ever wish to adhere.
I can't tell him how I feel
For he is in love with this girl.
What he has with her is genuine, and real.
Leaving me with nothing left to unfurl.
