This comic has so much lore that will never be relevant ever. While I was drawing the stained glass in the background I ended up with lore about the glass industry, why that particular design is depicting it’s subject in that way, and how that specific panel was commissioned. On an unrelated note I smugly made the cuts in the piece practical without a glass saw, since I’ve done some stained glass projects and know how annoying it is
15 years ago the cruel deity that had ruled over Crystalline for centuries was murdered, revealing how shockingly little she mattered. Unfortunately, the bickering and spiteful struggles of those really in charge barely felt a ripple. After a wrench is thrown in her noble families’ schemes, a young mage named Pyxis runs away from home, angry about all sorts of things that aren’t actually her problem. Once she makes three friends who all independently think fixing the world’s flaws is their responsibility alone, she ends up on a stumbling adventure across Crystalline’s starry landscape.
Cat’s Eye Nebula is a lighthearted fantasy story about magic cats going on an adventure through a large and complicated world.
