Posting here from Webtoon! Wanting to broaden my net a bit here. Lurked around Tapas for a while so it's exciting. Mainly Updates Bi-Weekly with some weekly episodes depending on the content.
If reading at the first several weeks of this webcomic -- I'll be posting two episodes a week at least.
Since I started this webcomic on April 2021, you'll be seeing many phases of my style -- a lot of experimentation and evolutions. It's odd because I'm going back through my older episodes more thoroughly (which I haven't done in a while), and there's so much I want to add, but not much I want to change. But since I'm doing this solo, kinda found myself cutting out some scenes for the sake of my sanity.
Although, I wondered if I should redraw all these older episodes, or just keep them as is so that others can experience the changes and growth with me?
This episode took me three weeks (on and off) to draft and finish, and those were some of the most fun weeks I've had drawing. Fun that continued pretty well into the future -- even up to right now as I'm currently writing this.
Guess I'll see. But I feel like part of the experience as an indie comic artist is to see the growth and changes of the art and style itself, and have the readers follow along the journey. Until then, they're staying as is. Anyways, hope you're looking forward to the story! Got a long way to go, and a lot of ground to cover.
Wren Young and his friends, Solene and Halen, got their work cut out. About thirty years ago, the world had changed from a disastrous event with people turning into strange creatures called "Freaks", the land twisting and deforming into inhospitable territory, and volatile energy anomalies lingering across the city of Farside. Fortunately, they are among the Abstractors -- beings who have the power to "fix it all" - for the most part. Whether it's worth fixing at the end of the day, that's a whole other deal.
However, with Wren dealing with some strange business in another realm -- to a not-so-steady relationship between Halen and Solene due to unfortunate events -- Farside seems to be at a standstill. If not worse. And with the world of Abstraction evolving constantly -- with changes in territory, factions, and the Abstraction energy itself, everyone has to stay vigilant.
The Farside Abstraction is a growing world on its own, closely tied with its people. And in order to live in it, the Farsiders must understand it.
But first, they got to understand each other. Which has got to be easy, right?
