Christopher : ahah yea

Christopher : So guys, meet Liam! Liam meet Gracie and Oliver!

Gracie : HEYYAAA!!

Oliver : Gracie, stop with the yelling! it’s getting annoying

Gracie : okay ;-;

Oliver : *sigh* sorry about that

Liam : ah.. it’s nothing! it didn’t bother me at all!

Oliver : awsome, I’m Oliver by the way and this is..

Gracie : GRACIE!

Oliver : yeah

Liam : it’s nice to meet you all

Oliver : you too brother

Gracie : wow.. you kinda remind me of someone...

Liam : Who exactly?

Gracie : of… MAVERICK WHITLOCK!!

Liam : HAH??!

Oliver : wha- i'm sorry? 

Gracie : MAVERICK WHITLOCK!

Christopher : Who's.. who’s Maverick Whitlock?..

Gracie : You don’t know him?!?!

Christopher : yeah..

Gracie : how could- Have you been living under a rock?!?

Christopher : no no of course not!

Oliver : *sigh* This Maverick guy she’s talking about is an actor from the Guilt of Darkness movie. Have any of you guys watched it??

Christopher : hmmmm.. nah

Oliver : How bout you?

Liam : uhm

Oliver : what? you haven't watched it yet?

Liam : I meaannn… i’ve once heard of that movie

Oliver : it’s that movie about detective mystery shit-

Christopher : woah there! watch your mouth!

Gracie : I see..., you're a little goody two shoes!

Liam : yeah he's always been like that

Oliver : Lame-

Gracie : ANYWAYS!! you guys should totally check it out! It's a really good movie! It’s trending right now! you’re missing out a lot

Liam : Alrighty! I’ll be sure to check it out

Gracie : Great!

??? : the fuck is goin on here?

Christopher : *sigh*

Gracie : *gasps* ELLA!!

Ella : oh jesus

Oliver :  Are you done? When are we gonna start playing??

Gracie : Oh yea! We should start now. Ella, you wanna come and play?

Ella : naaahhh... I just wanna relax. I’ll just sit down

They started playing basketball together until the afternoon. Christ seems to be winning a lot even though he doesn’t play basketball as much as he does in the past. 

Few minutes later, they felt like they’re getting tired so they went to relax, sitting down next to Ella.

Ella : *sniff sniff* …..

Oliver : uuuhhhh..

Ella : OH MY GOD!

Christopher : Huh? what’s wrong Ella?

Ella : YA’LL STINK!!! EEWWW!!!!!!

Christopher : Ahah, yeah… we just spent playing non-stop for the past 2 hours y’know. Of course we’ll smell bad!

Ella : EW! EW! EW! Stay away from me!, 6 feet apart, PPLLLEEAASSEE!!

Ella : You guys definitely need to take a shower after this!..

Gracie : YEA, WE WILL!! STOP BEING SUCH A DRAMA QUEEN ELLA! YOU DON’T NEED TO OVERREACT JUST BECAUSE YOU SMELL SOMETHING BAD

Oliver : Christ

Christopher : sup?

Oliver : Where are the others??

Liam : The others???

Christopher : About that, we’re supposed to have more coming over. probably like 10

Liam : WHAT?!? SO YOU’RE TELLING ME, YOU ALREADY MADE 13 FRIENDS IN YOUR FIRST WEEK OF COLLEGE?!?  

Christopher : hmm... I'm not sure, there’s a lot, I couldn't count all of them!

Liam : Is it really that much?

Oliver : Dude, are you jealous or somethin??

Liam : huh?? OH! PFFT!!.. What are you talking about!? no no no that’s not it! I’m just curious! It's been a while since I've met Christ! 

Christopher : I'm sure he's fineeee!! He will probably get more friends soon! He's good at getting people’s attention!

Gracie : You’re defo that one popular kid in the G’old high school days

Christopher : yea he was! He can’t stand being inside his house for just an hour! His very outgo-

Liam : *sigh* Man,.. you guys have been talking about me for half an hour now T-T. Can we just change the topic already??

Ella : Yeah, it's getting pretty boring. What’s so special about this dude anyway? You’re basically just telling us that he's just an extrovert right?

Christopher : i mean like-

Suddenly they heard a growl. Someone seems to be straving after a long day. Who could it be? 

Oliver : Who was that? defo not me

Liam : same

Christopher : also not me

Gracie : not me either

Everyone : …………

Ella : Eheh..

Oliver : What the- you’re hungry?

Ella : Well, how does it look?

Oliver : How could you be hungry? You’ve been just sitting down, watching us play this whole time

Ella : well what if i didn’t eat anything from the morning until now?

Liam : YIKES!!

Gracie : Let’s go get some food then

Christopher : Sure, what should we eat though?

Oliver : Don’t know, maybe some pizza?

Liam : that sounds pretty good

Gracie : I’ll go with Ella, if she agrees with pizza then I’ll agree with it too

Ella : Boring, but it’s fine i guess..

Christopher : ALRIGHTY! TO PIZZA MASTER WE GOOO!!

They went to eat at Pizza Master that was probably kinda far away from them. Oliver was getting tired and he started to complain about his legs starting to feel a bit numb but they all ignored him because they’re too tired to respond.

After half an hour, they arrived at Pizza Master and straight up sat down at an empty table. They ordered a pepperoni pizza. The pizza came soon enough and they ate it all up. And now, someone has to pay for the pizza. 

Christopher : Guys, what if the person who has the lowest score in the last basketball game we played will be the one who’s paying? I’m not paying, alright? I got the highest score here

Oliver : Ella should pay

Ella : Didn’t bring any money, Gracie?

Gracie : Shit! i forgot to bring my money

Ella : OH COME ON! I told you to bring it!

Gracie : I FORGOT!!

Everyone except Liam looked at Oliver who has the lowest score here. Oliver really didn’t wanna lose his money so he lied to his friends about his score.

Oliver : guys, don’t look at me, look at him *points at liam*

Liam : HAH? BUT WEREN’T YOU THE LOW-

Oliver : AHAHAH!! VERY FUNNY!! IT’S YOU, SILLY! STOP JOKIN AROUND

Liam : I’m NOt JoKinG, I wAs iN ThE SeCoNDth PlAcE!!!! GoDDaMn It, OliVeR!!

Oliver : nah, nah, nah! it’s HIM! trust me!

Christopher : Well then, Liam you gotta pay

Liam : WHA- BUT--

Christopher : Oh come on! pay up buddy!

With compulsion, Liam went to the cashier. He opened his wallet to see that he didn't have enough money for the pizza. The pizza’s price was $11 and he only had $7. He's missing $4. To solve this problem, he actually can just ask his friends to give him $4 but he doesn’t want to because he doesn’t wanna seem broke.

As he was thinking what to do, a rude man that was walking towards the cashier pushed him a bit. That man seems to be very mad about those employees because they didn’t get his order right. Liam was pissed at that man for pushing him until he noticed something. His anger was quenched when he saw $6 in that man’s back pocket. The man seems to be focused, complaining about his order. Liam quietly reached his hand grabbing $4 from that man’s pocket. Now, the man only has $2 left in his pocket. Because Liam was feeling greedy, he decided to take the last $2. 

After a few more minutes of arguing, the man stormed out of the restaurant without paying because they got his order wrong. Liam walked closer to the cashier and was able to pay. 

He went back to his friends to tell them that he had just finished paying. Out of thin air, that rude man kicked open the door. This time he is really pissed because he just lost his $6. Liam was shocked. He tries not to act suspicious by acting as calm as possible towards his friends. He told them that they should head back now because it was getting late. They agreed with Liam, they stood up and walked to the front door.

As they were getting closer to the front door, Liam looked back to check on the man. The man suddenly looks back and starts to run towards him. Liam is now outside the restaurant, he quickly slam closes the restaurant’s glass door which causes the man to accidentally hit himself onto the door and make the glass’s door crack a bit.

Liam looked back at his friends and thank god they seemed to not notice what just happened. They were just talking about their college work this whole time. Liam joined in the convo to forget the fact he pickpocketed someone just for a pizza.

Oh god, it’s 9PM now, they arrived back at their basketball court. Before leaving, they continued they’re chit chat just a little bit more. Their convo stopped when Ella told everyone to just head back to their campus now because she feels super exhausted. 

Just like what Ella told, Christ and his friends went back to their campus and Liam walked back alone to his campus.

While walking, he starts thinking about how he's gonna get a new laptop for himself. How is he gonna get a new laptop when he's broke? Right! He can just ask his mom for some money! but he doesn’t want to because he thinks that he might seem spoiled for asking his mom for money and not getting it on his own. How about he just tell the truth to his mom? That's even worse! his mom is gonna kill him!

Suddenly, he saw a poster sticking on a street lamp. He looked at the poster. It looks like the poster is talking about a taco eating contest. It says if you win, you’ll get $650! Sounds pretty worth it, he for sure could buy a new laptop with that! The contest will be held on the 26th August, from 10AM to 12PM… wait a minute… August 26?.. 10 AM?.. He just remembered something. He has a test right when the contest is gonna be held!

If he wants to join the contest, he needs to skip his test which means he's gonna get an F but at least get his $650. But if he attends his test instead, his grade will be saved but he won't get his $650 for his new laptop. What will he choose? Which is more worth it?
