Still confused about Cabal’s words, Commander Moon kept her gaze on the snake Dreamer as he took his mask off. Instantly, Commander Moon felt her limbs freeze as well as every part of her body as she fell on her side. “We’ll see how long you last,” Cabal murmured though Commander Moon didn’t hear it.
Everything started to go black, and Commander Moon could feel everything in her body once again. The only thing wrong is that she was suddenly in an all-black room. Where did this crazy guy take me?
“Hello? Where am I? Someone help me right now!” Commander Moon snapped.
“That’s very unprofessional for a Commander,” a voice spoke in her mind. It was the same voice that gave her advice when she was trying to look for Trainee Ice and Trainee Crow. It was higher pitched than the other one and slightly annoying.
“Fine, fine, am I awake?” Commander Moon asked as she started walking. Where she was going was unknown, but she decided to walk instead of sitting around waiting for someone to rescue her.
“No, you’re under a move called Glare,” the voice explained. “I’m here to show you something.”
Suddenly, Commander Moon found herself back on Moon Family territory. Except, that there was weird purplish-black matter forming on some of the trees and ground. Curious, she decided to visit camp and see if this was taken in the present or future time.
Her blue eyes widened when she came to a stop at the camp entrance. Everything in camp was destroyed and no cats were seen anywhere. Did they leave and find a new place to stay?
“Where’s my Campmates?” Commander Moon asked a bit weirded out.
“This is sort of a bad ending where everyone died,” the voice explained. There was a bit of laughter which annoyed the purple molly as she wasn’t sure if he was laughing at her or with her. “You can prevent this if you listen to me.”
“Uh, why?” Commander Moon asked as she padded further into camp. Everything was structured the same besides being broken and stuff. This voice was weird, and she wished she had the more attractive voice back.
“There’s something I need,” the voice said. “My only problem is that I don’t where my mentor is.”
Mentor? Commander Moon echoed. No wonder the voice was kind of annoying. This guy was just a lost Trainee looking for his mentor. Perhaps he was a Doctor in training that needed help interpreting his dream. “I’ll help, but in the meantime Riverbird can help you with this vision,” she purred.
“Eh? What are you talking about?”
“Doctors most time see visions,” Commander Moon meowed. “Riverbird is good at riddles like these.” She sat down and covered her paws with her tail.
“You get confused easily,” the voice growled offending Commander Moon. “I’m looking for a violet-covered book with a confusing symbol on it.”
His words almost didn’t go through Commander Moon’s ears, but she started to come her senses. So, he’s looking for a book. “I can find the book,” she piped up.
“No! Find my mentor!” The voice snapped causing Commander Moon to be taken aback. For a voice talking in her head, his presence felt very real to her as she shuffled her paws. Some of the caves in the camp were starting to disappear. “He’s tall, wears a dark blue robe, and has brightly colored apparel along with it.”
As things started to diminish as Commander Moon was starting to wake up, she lashed her tail. “Calm down, I’ll find him. Can’t promise when as I’m booked up.”
She was startled when hearing a bit of a sinister laugh follow what she said. Who the heck was that? There was no way that laughter was coming from the voice speaking to her. “Tell him, his Secret Agent awaits.”
Soon enough, Commander Moon jolted awake in some sort of cabin. Where was she now? She hopped off the makeshift cat bed she was in and left the Guest Room to see an older monkey standing at the register with Stray Dog, Kong, and Raul all sitting in seats looking tense.
“What’s going on?” Commander Moon asked.
“We’re waiting for Sweet Monkey,” explained Kong. He flinched when Grumpy Ape started slapping his ruler on the register.
“It seems one of Balduff’s most trusted henchmen has been around,” Grumpy Ape snapped.
Kong started fiddling with his thumbs. “Dad, I looked into that man’s eyes…” He stopped when Grumpy Ape slapped his hand with a ruler making him yelp. Commander Moon just sat there, unsure of what the heck was going on. Who’s Balduff? Who’s his trusted henchmen? Was it Cabal?
“I witnessed a vision,” Commander Moon piped up. She knew it wasn’t Cabal as his voice was… different than this guy’s. The voice who showed her the vision was a young student looking for his mentor. “It was scary when creepy laughing started.”
Stray Dog tilted his head to one side. “Was Shining Skies giving a message?”
“Nah, this student was,” Commander Moon laughed. If it was Shining Skies, she probably would’ve been seeing that stupid Glitter Family Commander named Glitter. Raul and Stray Dog exchanged confused glances while Kong and Grumpy Ape looked intrigued by this information.
“Perhaps a Seer has spoken to her,” Grumpy Ape whispered to Kong who nodded. There was no way a former house pet was gifted with the power of Future Vision. Grumpy Ape smiles at Commander Moon. “Did they give a name?”
Commander Moon shook her head. “No, he just asked me to find his mentor,” she meowed as she headed towards the door. Why was this monkey interested anyway?
“Tell me, when you find out, okay?” Grumpy Ape told the purple molly.
“Whatever,” Commander Moon muttered as she walked out the door. She wasn’t going to wait for this Sweet Monkey to arrive. It seemed to her that the older orange monkey knew more than he was telling her.
“Don’t listen to that fool,” the voice said. Commander Moon scowled when she felt a something silky like a scarf touch her head. “He’ll only get in your way.”
Commander Moon stayed silent as she padded her way home. Cynthia’s scent was starting to pick up and the purple molly rushed over to Misty Family border to see the brown-skinned woman standing there. I didn’t know she was coming today!
As she got closer, two other cats that Commander Moon recognized to be Commander Hawk and Bluestep were facing the woman. Why was her Misty Family friend with Bluestep anyway? That no good fox must’ve threatened him to stay in Misty Family.
“Cynthia, he won’t listen to you,” Commander Hawk growled. He had his claws unsheathed as his blue eyes kept bouncing from Cynthia to Bluestep. There was a bit of relief when he spotted Commander Moon approaching.
Cynthia placed her hands on her hips. “This man made me wait for an hour for him to arrive,” she told Commander Hawk. “I demand he listens and leaves Moon Family alone.”
Bluestep tilted his head and sneered. “Give it up, hag, I’ll be done when I say I’m done,” he hissed.
Commander Moon just sat behind Cynthia and gave a heavy sigh. It’s not like they were going to notice her anyway. Maybe I shouldn’t have gone with Sochi’s idea…

Back at camp, Storm was tossing and turning before opening his eyes to find himself in a dream-like world. Where was he? The purple-gray tom kit pranced around the little flowers when four cats appeared around him. Who were these guys?
“Sup, Storm,” mewed a reddish-orange molly with pink eyes.
“Your mother is in grave danger,” a pink molly with dark blue eyes meowed.
“Tell your mom that someone is tricking her,” an auburn-colored tom purred.
Storm looked at the three adult cats that had spoken to him with wide eyes. Are they telling me about Bluestep?? He thought. The purple gray tom-kit tilted his head to one side. “Mama already knows about Bluestep.”
“No, this one is her new friend,” the reddish-orange molly giggled.
The pink molly shoved her shoulder. “Your mom is oblivious to the intentions of the voices,” she spat. She rolled her eyes as if wanting to be clearer.
The only tom also nodded with a worried smile. “Just tell her that she needs to rethink about those voices,” he mewed. He then started to walk away with the two other adults, leaving the green molly with Storm.
Mama has voices in her head? Storm wondered. He then stood up to face the green molly who looked to be as big as Trainee Cinder and her siblings. She must’ve died as a Trainee then. “How are you?”
“My Campmates buried me alive,” the Trainee meowed with a blank stare. “If only they checked my pulse yesterday.”
Storm lowered his ears and looked away. This cat is weird, I should wake up now.

Commander Moon was sitting on the log as she gazed up at the stars of the deceased. I have a feeling that Bluestep will attack soon, she thought grumpily. Looks like Cynthia was not able to convince the sly fox to abolish his plan and leave the Families for good. How come lawyers work with everyone else?
“Mama?”
Commander Moon turned her head as her oldest son Storm was scampering over towards her. What was her son still doing up at this hour? She didn’t say anything as she waited for him to stop right beside to look at her. There was curiosity and a bit of fear in his blue eyes.
“Mama, these cats told me you should rethink about trusting the voices in your head,” Storm meowed with a wide innocent grin.
Sudden realization hit Commander Moon and she was starting to wonder if the others have noticed her odd behavior in being in her head a lot lately. If her son can notice it, the others have probably picked up on something weird going on as well.
“Silly, the voices are just nuisances, nothing more,” Commander Moon chided. Why was Shining Skies getting her son to rat her out on things like this anyway? Surely, they have more faith in her than that.
Storm flicked one ear. “One of the voices is tricking you,” he meowed keeping a straight face.
“Which one?” Commander Moon pressed growing nervous. The first one hasn’t even contacted her in a about a month or so. Perhaps he’s preparing that plan he mentioned the first time they met.
“Don’t know,” Storm purred. “They said to rethink about them.” And with that, he turned around and headed back to the nursery. That was it?
Should I ask Riverbird? Wondered Commander Moon. She then shook her head several times and decided she needed some sleep.
