1) Q: What are some darlings you’ve had to kill while writing the story?
A: I had to kill an entire story in order to write this one. Originally, Perceneige was a voodoo witch with dreams of an ice queen that she was to travel through the entire USA (that were not the USA but wild territory with native people doing their thing) to join her. The queen’s brother was supposed to be the one for Percy but at some point, he became ace. And then I asked someone about ace rep and they told me I got it wrong, so I scrapped the entire story and it became a dystopia with a bi rep romantic background. Percy is pan though, but that might be shown later. For now, it’s two women and an evil ex with a flamethrower. Nothing like what I had imagined it to be, but with way more action.
2) Q: Do you have the entire plot lined out or do you think up the story as you go?
A: I don’t have the entire plot lined out, but I have a few important points that we need to go through. I know how it will end but not the entire way there yet. I think there might be more caves though, they make for interesting intimacy moments. Nothing R rated, just the ladies being themselves and opening up a little. I want to show the trust building more than I want to make big badabooms but… well, there will probably be both.
3) Q: If you had to choose three words to describe this story, what would they be? What about three words to describe your writing in general?
A: Three words for this story? I’d say love, madness, and survival. Three to describe my writing? Probably the same ones. I write to survive, I’m insane, and writing is among the things I love most. As for my writing style, it would be fast paced, attention-grabbing, and full of voice.
