Petra, (along with Peach, Grey, Elizabeth, Pumpkin, Tumi, Glitch and Crash), is in the business of being alive. In her far flung future humans are tolerated at best, so you take what you get. Most of the time that means taking some more dangerous cargo from time to time.
One wrong piece of cargo and everything could fall apart, but one good piece means they can keep the ship going. It's under these circumstances our friends find themselves suddenly on the universe's sh*t list. If it's not unstable cyborgs after them, it's somebody's ex. If the planet isn't covered in giant spiders, it's filled with a bug nation who's sole purpose is to exterminate humans from the galaxy*. Not to mention they seem to keep accruing random foundlings and battle scars.
-Inspired by 80s cartoons, '90s space anime, and the need to tell myself a story.
*for your sake, dear reader, let me clarify that there are only a few pages where you actually see the spider and he's quite cute. You will not see the bug people.
Started in 2013, this ongoing series had a gap of about 10 years before I was able to pick it up again.
