Sung Kang started to search for supplies in the apartment complex, opening every room in it and getting any food available. There was no time being picky, you have to eat to survive.
He respected the privacy of the people who owned these rooms so he was only after food and nothing else. All the tenants of the apartment were all women and Sung Kang was the only man, but he never really saw any of them so he guessed they had jobs where they had to stay in different places so he left it at that and kept searching for supplies. The apartment complex although in its old age it was still in its top condition and it was large despite only being a 3-story building. This apartment had 30 rooms and an additional 20 storage rooms and locker rooms. Most of the tenants living in the apartment were women with an age range of 10 years old to 30 years old. Sung Kang has not even met anyone of them yet, it felt like they were hiding from him or maybe they were just shy is what Sung Kang thought, so whenever he cooks, he always leaves extra and brings it to the kitchen so that his fellow tenants can eat some of his cooked-meals.
Once Sung Kang gathered all of the food that was all in the apartment, he then immediately went to all the storage rooms to gather all the scrap wood and sheet metal he could find to reinforce all the windows, doors, and vents. He believed that someday the unknown energy protecting the apartment complex would disappear and those “things” outside would rush in and kill him, so he might as well prepare and strengthen up the place while he’s at it. He then went to store the rations he gathered in the apartment kitchen in the large cupboards and the giant industrial refrigerators and he moved all his stuff in the 3rd floor to the main lobby where his new place is.
After he moved all his stuff to the ground floor lobby, he began to reinforce the apartment. Thankfully, there was still electricity even in this thick forest maybe it was the unknown barrier at work but Sung Kang didn’t want to focus on it and just went on reinforcing all the vulnerable parts of the complex. The reinforcement took only 3 days of nonstop work with no sleep.
Sung Kang collapsed from intense fatigue and slept for a day.
