CHAPTER:5

Arrival to the island of Glarera

Nowell: "Were you followed?" 

Morris: "Nope sly as a raccoon." 

Nowell allowed Morris in. 

Morris: "So what is it you wanted to--?" 

Nowell: "We want you to fly us back to Meldic." 

Morris: (.......) "Huh?!" 

Nowell gave info and explained the whole situation to Morris.

Morris: "I see, a fruit that can see into the future and a banished angel that is protecting it." 

Nowell: "Yep pretty crazy if you ask me." 

Lay: "..." 

Morris: "But I don't get it. You two took down the Krakus. Why would you be afraid of some angel?" 

Nowell: "Because God along with her angels are the beings connected and centered around Forcer." 

Morris: "What? That weird crap you guys were pulling before?" 

Nowell: "Yeah we were taught Forcer at a young age through teachings related to the Goddess, and is the source of our abilities." 

Morris: "So how exactly do you gain this Forcer ability?" 

Nowell: "That's something you'll have to look into yourself." 

Morris: "Huh? What the hell! You told me all this but you won't let me in on how you obtain it?" 

Nowell: "Me and Lay don't mind telling people about Forcer but if you're truly serious on learning about it, you'll go travel to an Elia Temple and try it for yourself, besides we didn't invite you to teach you Forcer." 

Morris: "Tch jerks, hey one more thing why tell me exactly why you and your buddy want to escape off the ship, the way I see it you could have just told me you wanted a free hour ride and then took me as a hostage forcing me against my will, I mean what makes you so sure I won't backstab you now that I have this information?"

 Lay prepared his blade. 

Nowell: "Because you are a man of your word, I can tell because when you gamble you bet everything on the line, someone like you can be trusted once defeated." 

Morris: "...Heh you got me kid, never before have I had someone put their faith in me, fine a deal a deal." (Either though I'll lose my job and connection with Maxdell for it, oh well it was going to happen eventually.) "I'll fly you out of here." 

Nowell: "Thank you after all, if you refused to help us, Lay here would have killed you." 

Morris: "I kinda figured, anyway we should have plenty of backup chopper fuel to get us to our location in a couple of days, after all Meldic choppers are the best." 

Nowell: "Good then, when should we get going?" 

Morris: "Probably in an hour I got to get things set up after all." 

Nowell: "All right, me and Lay will take your word for it." 

Morris left. 

Lay: "Nowell." 

Nowell: "I know if he betrays us then we'll fight." 

An hour later, it was time for Lay and Nowell to meet Morris at the chopper. The two had then slowly snuck around and headed over.

Nowell: "Alright Lay there's Morris, I don't see anyone else around." 

Lay: "Let's go." 

Morris: "Boys you're here." 

Nowell: "Glad you keep your word." 

Morris: "Well there's a bit of a problem." 

Nowell: "A problem?" 

Rise: "That's right kids, you both have been caught red-handed." 

Lay and Nowell: (!!!!) 

Nowell: (That voice! I've heard it before!) 

The two then noticed Rise getting out of the chopper. 

Lay: "You!" 

Nowell: "It can't be!" 

Rise: "Hahaha were you both really planning on leaving little old me?" 

Nowell: "What do you want?!" 

Rise: "I just want to continue our game from earlier." 

Lay: "With pleasure I'll kill you right here and now." 

Nowell: "Lay wait!" 

Ryan: "Rise, stand down." 

Rise: "Tch perfect." 

Ryan: "Hello there boys, I see you were planning to make off with my chopper. Tell me, did you really think I didn't see this coming, seeing as you both were acting so eerie when I informed you of my plans?" 

Nowell: (Great of course he saw this coming if I didn't lose my cool back then we probably would have had a chance!) 

Ryan: "So it's come down to this, surrender yourselves over now and join me on my hunt to Glarera or my guard here Rise will send you both to the bottom of the ocean."

Lay: "You think that blonde muscle head will be enough to stop me?" 

Rise: "You want to test that theory, kid?" 

Lay: "Hmph." 

Lay charged up his aura along with Rise. 

Nowell: "Ah oh, those two are about to go at it!" 

Ryan: "Rise, be sure not to destroy the ship!" 

Rise: "Hehe let's settle this shady!" 

Morris: "Shit, I better get out of here before I get caught in the crossfire!" 

Morris slowly backed away while Lay and Rise clashed once more. Rise threw a powerful punch with a thick reddish orange aura surrounding it. 

Lay: (What?!) 

Lay avoided it. 

Rise: "Ha you dodged it! smart move seeing as if you blocked it would instantly shatter your force field!" 

Nowell: (What? This guy is capable of breaking Lay's field in one hit! How is that possible?!) 

Rise: "Here's another!" 

Lay dodged Rise's left uppercut. 

Lay: "Again?!" 

Nowell: "The uppercut he used had the same intense aura!" 

Rise threw another punch while Lay dodged it and countered and slashed his arm, but the attack didn't cut through Rise's force field. 

Lay: (Tch too shallow.) 

Rise: "Not bad! Let's kick this up a few notches!" 

Rise did a barrage of intense Aura filled punches while Lay continued dodging all of them. 

Rise: (Try this then!) 

Rise grabbed Lay's jacket. 

"Lay!" 

Rise: "Got you shady now, dodge this!" 

As Rise was about to punch the captured Lay, Lay lowered his aura. 

Rise: (What? Did he get scared and lower his shield?) 

Lay then focused it on his blade and stabbed Rise's hand. 

Rise: "Aah!" 

Rise quickly released Lay while Lay dashed back. 

Rise: "Heh, you lowered your aura so that you can focus it all into your blade and penetrate the field around my hand. Good thinking, that actually stung a little." 

Lay: "You're not the only one who can use immense aura."

Ryan:  "Rise don't lose!" 

Rise: "I'm just getting started!" 

Nowell: "I'd better help this time." 

Lay: "No don't get involved if you fire your weapon it will alert everyone on the ship." 

Nowell: (That's right! But that means Lay will have to face this guy on his own again.) 

Rise: "It's time I took out my secret weapon. After all, you are worthy of it." 

Lay: (Secret weapon?) 

Ryan: "Rise, what are you talking about?" 

Rise: "Just sit back and watch Maxdell this will be over in a flash!" 

Lay prepared himself going into a stance while Rise began tensing up his aura. 

Lay: "What's he up too?" 

Nowell: "Is that guy powering up?!" 

Rise: "Shady, get ready because this is where things get fun!" 

Nowell: (His Aura is increasing his mass making him bigger, meaning he's focusing all his aura on to his body by sucking it in! But how is that possible when aura naturally surrounds a Forcer user's body, sucking it in would take years of practice, Just who is this guy?) 

Rise: "Almost done!" 

Lay: (I need to dispose of him fast!) 

Lay rushed over to Rise, as he was almost done with his transformation. 

Ryan: "Rise, he's coming your way!" 

Lay: "I'll finish this now."

 Lay slashed Rise's chest. 

Rise: "Gaaah!" 

Ryan: "Rise!" 

Rise: "Hehehe hahahaha!!" 

Nowell: "Why is he laughing?!" 

Rise: "Sorry kid, but this is as far as you go!" 

Lay: (!!!!)

Rise appeared unharmed and had grown exponentially, resembling a hulking figure. 

Nowell: "He's all covered in muscle!" 

Rise: "Hehehe! you should have slashed me when you had the chance earlier! Now none of your attacks won't phase me!" 

Lay slashed at him again. 

Lay: (What?!) 

The wound on Rise was healing. 

Rise: "Give it up, you just wasting your time now." 

Lay: "Shut up!" 

Lay was about to attack again when Rise blocked it and threw a fierce punch so fast that he instinctively blocked it. 

Nowell: (No!) "L--Lay didn't just block an attack of that magnitude with such an immense aura!" 

The attack instantly shattered Lay's force field, broke his blade and sent him flying. 

Nowell: "Lay!!!" 

Lay slammed into the viewing rail of the ship. 

Ryan: "Good thing he didn't fall into the ocean." 

Rise: "I made sure to hold back enough so that shady wouldn't go flying off the ship." 

Ryan: "Good work Rise Rexun, you didn't disappoint." 

Rise: "But that kid sure did, he lost too quickly." 

Ryan: "As he should have, now for the other one." 

Nowell aimed his gun at the two. 

Nowell: (Dammit, what now? Lay actually got defeated by this guy, so I definitely don't stand a chance!) 

Ryan: "You seem to be cornered, young man. I wouldn't try anything foolish." 

Nowell: "What are you going to do to us?!" 

Ryan: "Nothing much we could talk and work this out like civil people or Rise here will kill you both. Either way, you have no chance at victory here."

Nowell: "Tch!" 

Charles: "Brother what's going on out here?!" 

Ryan: "Charles and Luna?! What are you both doing out here at this hour?" 

Charles: "Luna wanted to go check on you to see if you were resting well but you weren't in your quarters." 

Ryan: "I'm fine, both of you as you can see, I'm in the middle of something." 

Luna: "Huh?! Nowell, why are you aiming a gun at my father?!" 

Nowell: "I can explain." 

Ryan: "No, allow me to. You see, these two troublemakers here were planning to leave off here with my chopper and abandon their duties as Crusaded Defenders, leaving us all to defend for ourselves." 

Luna: "Nowell, is that true?" 

Nowell: "It is." 

Luna: (!!!!) 

Nowell: "You're asking us to do something that might be out of our control and to cross a line that shouldn't be crossed! Of course our first option was to split!" 

Ryan: "You see you and your friend represent what I dislike a lot about Crusaded Defenders, I was right to doubt you both, in the end you both are just like those two that showed up at my door long ago, meaning there is a possibility that they betrayed my father." 

Nowell: "..." 

Ryan: "I should have Rise kill you both here but--" 

Suddenly Ryan and everyone noticed that the ship was caught in fog.

Rise: "Hey when did it get foggy?"

Ryan: "I don't--?"

Soldier 6: "Sir there you are!" 

Ryan: "Hmm? What is it?" 

Soldier 6: "The ship is nearing an island!" 

Ryan: "What?!" 

The crewmate handed over the binoculars to Maxdell and through the fog, Maxdell saw an island nearby.

Ryan: (!!!!) "An… an island! Centered in fog." 

Nowell: (We're here.) 

Ryan: "You! get everyone up! And the small boats ready, we're setting foot on that island!" 

Soldier 6: "Yes, sir!" 

Ryan: "Charles send Luna back inside." 

Luna: "Wait I don't want to!" 

Ryan: "Don't argue with me Luna! Do as I say and stay put!" 

Luna: "Father! Please! What if I don't see you again?!" 

Ryan: "Then that is how it was meant to be!" 

Luna: (!!!!) "Father…"

Charles: "Ryan, how could you?!" 

Ryan: "Don't start with me Charles, do as I say as well!" 

Charles: "..." 

Ryan: "As for you, boy and your partner." 

Nowell: (Shit, here it comes!) 

Ryan: "Will be taking you both with us." 

Nowell: "W--what?!"
