Everyone froze in shock. "Y-Y-You c-c-can t-t-talk," Robyn said. "You fucking dumbass," Casey groaned. "You knew?!" Robyn said. "I knew as well," Grace said. I got up and grabbed Casey. They grabbed their milk as I pulled them out. They processed to lean up against the brick wall. "What the hell were you thinking?" Casey shouted. "I wasn't. I was getting frustrated," I said. Casey started to drink more milk.
I walked over and placed my arms next to each side of their head. "What the fuck do you want, Kace?" Casey groaned. "Wrong one and I want you," I said. I grabbing their hips, pulling them closer. They drop the empty glass cup on the ground and placed their hands on my chest. "Fuck," they groaned. "But I'm too innocent, huh Cas?" I muttered in their ear. "Where did you learn this?" Casey asked. "For me to know, and you to find out," I said. I let go of their hips. I walked in the opposite direction of them. "We should to the fire pit," I said, stopping to look over my shoulder. They nodded and we walked to the fire pit and took a place. We sat next to each other.
Eventually, the other campers started filling the empty places. "Jayden, tell me what are we?" Casey asked. "What?" I responded. "You said that you wanted me, but as what?" Casey asked. "Friends with benefits, for now," I said. "Oh..okay," they said. They seemed a little disappointed in my response. Miss Annie walked in and took attendance. Once we all were called, we walked to the school. "Okay, who wants to go first?" Miss Annie asked. I rose my hand and grabbed Casey's hand. "Oh, the first time anyone rose their hand. You got a teammate?" Miss Annie asked. I rose my other hand with Casey's smaller hand in it. "Perfect," she said, with a smile across her face. She unlocked the door as Casey and I pushed through the crowd.
"Now what?" Casey asked as I stepped into the building. "Let's just start," I said. I opened the first door and it was pretty strange. There were glass cages with large animals behind the glass. All the cages were connected to make a maze. We solved it pretty quickly. The next door, Casey had open. There were two sides with things that control the other sides. We split up and solved it in about 2-3 minutes, at the end it connected the paths. I opened the third door. This challenge was a maze but with bushes so tall that they touched the ceiling. Well, Casey was 5'9 and I was 6'5 so it wasn't really that tall. If they stood on my shoulders, they would touch the ceiling. This was easier than the other maze. Casey was getting distracted and going on rants about every animal they saw. The final challenge was a mixture of the second and third rounds. We had to search for the buttons and the speakers. We managed through it tho. We got out and moments later for lady's voice spoke. "15 minutes."
"15 minutes!" Miss Annie shouted, scaring the living heck out of me. The others went. Robyn with Ashfur, Jazmin with Jaxson, and Julia with Grace. Julia and Grace got 15.5 minutes. Robyn and Ashfur got 15.3 minutes. Jazmin and Jaxson got 30 minutes. The others got 30 minutes or above. "That's weird," Casey said. "I know right. But why were out of the eight of us, only six got 15 or a little over 15 minutes?" I asked. "I don't know, but take note of that," said Casey. "I will, when we leave," I said. "Okay everyone that's it for today. Meet at the same place and the same time tomorrow," Miss Annie said, moments later. At lunch, we all sat together again. I remove my journal from my side bag. "Do you carry that everywhere?" Jazmin asked. "Mostly," I said, searching for a pencil. I flipped through the journal to the next free page.
I wrote the challenges and the time of all campers. "Casey, isn't that the third cup of milk today?" Robyn asked. "I don't know. It's a substitute for coffee and energy drinks," they said. "I mean you could have asked," I said, reaching into my bag. "What do you mean?" they said. I pull out a random energy drink. "You just carry that?" Jax said. "Yeah, I designed this bag to have many compartments," I said, putting back the journal and pulling out of cardstock. I started sketching the basics of the camp. "Jayden, you should eat something," Robyn said. "Okay," I said. I reached into the bag and pulled out an apple. "Goddamnit, isn't the food gonna get bad soon?" Jazmin said. "No, one compartment is like a fridge. One is non-cold foods. One is school supplies," I said. "What? No way," Ash said.
"Jayden is really smart, he graduated from college when he was 13 years old," Robyn said. "I have a sibling kind of like you, Jayden. But, they graduated at age 12," Ash said. "What is their name?" I asked. "Sophia Taylor," Ash said. "Oh, I know them. We had classes together," I said, biting into the apple. I continued the sketch of the camp. "Wait, didn't you three meet in school?" Grace asked. "Yeah, but he was moved up to college at like 9 years old," said Robyn. "Well, I was born in March also. That's why I graduated a little older than the others," I said, not looking up.
