I think the addition of this to the story definitely was for the best, I think the most compelling thing about Aiden is just how hard he tries to be a good dad, even when he's on the verge of collapse. He isn't as gifted of a storyteller as you perhaps, but he has heart he has heart! I'm glad to see his efforts acknowledged even by Lettie. Also the scene of them fighting over the switch was very cute. Outside of the obvious standout snake page the expression work this chapter was lovely, especially of the kids. The "maybe they didn't eat all the food" panel is probably my favourite, three very cute expressions there. Also loved the switch to the Taora style colouring in the mirror and in the final panel, really establishes a disconnect between the brave front he puts on for his kids and the overwhelming emotions when he doesn't have to hide. Love you so much ❤️
