Before Koyaga could finish her threat, she got a powerful open palm push in her chest, mixed with Wind Magic that sent her flying for more than three meters. When she stopped rolling on the floor, Taisetsuna was already on top of her, delivering a nonstop series of punches and open palm hits in her face and body. A strong knee on her stomach made Koyaga bent her body in pain and surprise, only to get a powerful headbutt straight to her face that broke her nose and knocked her out.
The Guild Master arrived in a hurry, and with Nozomu’s help, they restrained the angry Cat-girl that kept on punching the now fainted Koyaga, turning her once pretty face into a bloody mess.
Seta Azusake came from the inside of the main building, attracted by the noise in the backyard. He didn’t hear the explosion that Nozomu caused because he was in the underground cellar but got out from there to check why all the ingredients stashed in there were trembling from the explosion’s shock wave.
The screams of the Guild Master and Nozomu telling Taisetsuna to stop made him rush to the backyard, and he saw the huge mess that his older sister was facing. He rushed to her and took a vial of Healing Potion from his apron’s pocket, and he carefully poured a few drops in her face, while fixing the position of the broken nose and putting in place the bloody teeth that were on the ground near her.
When Koyaga was slowly recovering conscience, Seta looked at the still screaming-air-kicking Cat-girl and asked the Guild Master with a dumb look, “What happened here? Why is Koyaga in this state?”
“Stop it, Taisetsuna! Your sister caused all this mess, because she thought it would be funny not to warn Nozomu about your ‘Ergy’ and the ‘Fool's Death’ bushes, and he almost died! Then she argued with Taisetsuna and got her ass kicked! We got a feisty one here, Seta!”
Seta Azusake opened and closed his mouth a few times before he could speak with his voice failing because of the shock, “That girl did all this? Knocked out Koyaga and turned her face into a mess? How was that even possible? Not even you would be able to do this, Udo!”
Taisetsuna was trying to bite the Guild Master’s hand that was holding her left arm and shouted, “What kind of a girlish name is that, Udo? Let go of me! I want to rip her head off! That stupid bitch! Nozo almost died because of her!”
The Guild Master frowned and punched Taisetsuna so hard in her head that she saw stars and heard bells. He looked at her really close and shouted, “My name is Udo Eskola, little girl! My mother gave me that name, and I am very proud of it! In my entire life, no one was foolish enough to mock my name, so unless you want to lose your tail, I suggest that you never mock my name! Understood?”
That carefree and unthought approach from the face of a still angry Taisetsuna granted him a headbutt and a bite on his nose. Taisetsuna spoke in a muffled voice while still holding his nose between her teeth, “Next time that you threaten my tail, I will rip your heart out, dumbass! No one messes with my tail, no one!”
Nozomu was finally able to grab Taisetsuna’s other arm and shouted in her ear, “Stop it, Suna! Geez, girl, I am alright! Stop trying to kill everyone!”
Taisetsuna stopped biting the Guild Master’s nose, and while he was making sure that it was still in one piece, she looked at Nozomu, and the glow in her eyes made him gulp, “I wasted my first kiss and another Healing Potion on you, Nozo, again! You are going to pay for this, in pain! You may have lost your memory, but you are still the same dumbass as you always were, doing all sorts of things without even thinking! I am going to punch you and kick you so much, that not even the Priest will recognize you when I am done with you!”
Koyaga Azusake was already up and cleaning her clothes. She grinned while staring at the still angry Cat-kind that was restrained on the ground by the three men because her brother rushed to help the Guild Master, and they were all trying to hold still the kicking, biting and scratching Cat-kind girl, “You got lucky Taisetsuna, because you caught me by surprise. Care to go to another round but this time, with me fully prepared? I seriously doubt you…”
Koyaga was sent flying backwards again, hit by a powerful Wind Slash that Taisetsuna threw at her, by using the tip of her tail, the only member on her body that was not restrained, with the three men doing their best to prevent her from escaping. Udo Eskola, the Guild Master, asked with his eyes wide open, “How did she do that? Both of her legs and hands are restrained! Did any of you let her go?”
Then, both the Cook and the Guild Master were sent flying when Taisetsuna made another Wind Slash appear on the tip of her tail and shoot it around her. The only one that remained with a knee on her back and pulling her right arm back was Nozomu, unaffected by the strong Magical blast. Biting his lower lip and already regretting what he was about to do, he pulled Taisetsuna’s arm, dislocating her shoulder with a loud snap.
While Taisetsuna was screaming in pain, Nozomu grabbed her other arm and pulled it back as well. As he was pulling, he warned, “I am going to keep on dislocating every member you have if I have to! I am going to cut your tail into tiny little pieces, and I am going to feed it to the Scaraar unless you stop!”
Taisetsuna shouted in between her screams of pain, “You wouldn’t dare! I am going to kill you if you even touch my tail!”
Nozomu pulled the arm and dislocated Taisetsuna’s other shoulder. He then quickly took the dagger that she had on her belt and grabbed the moving tail while Taisetsuna was screaming. He put the sharp side of the knife exactly at the junction with her body and shouted, “The Priest told me to stop you if you tried to kill someone! I am going to cut your tail if you don’t stop fighting this instant! I am not joking, Taisetsuna Kawa! I will go to your ears next, and you will lose everything that says you are a Cat-kind! I will even put you on a leash and slap your butt every day until you learn how to behave, you stupid cat!”
Hearing Nozomu calling her by her full name, panicked her even more than his threats. He never called her like that, ever since both learned how to talk, and she felt something breaking inside. She immediately stopped kicking and trying to roll from under him, and she completely forgot the pain in her shoulders because of the way that Nozomu spoke to her with so much anger in his voice, something that she never heard until that day.
Nozomu squeezed the tail a little and bent it, making her flinch, suddenly realizing that her tail was still in his grasp and the knife was still dangerously close to one of her most sensitive spots, “If you try to attack someone when I let you go, I won’t warn you again. You will lose your tail and ears, Taisetsuna Kawa!”
Nozomu let go of the tail and slowly got up while Taisetsuna was still trembling from the shock his words caused on her.
The Guild Master approached, and he quickly pulled Taisetsuna’s shoulders back to place. She sat on the floor with her face a complete mess of snort, tears, and dirt.
Koyaga Azusake approached her and sat on the floor in front of her. She took a slow breath and said, “I am sorry for what I did, Taisetsuna. It was a stupid joke indeed, and Nozomu almost died because of it. I am perfectly aware that a Cat-kind girl is almost unable to control herself when she gets angry but you are not a girl anymore. You are a woman now, and as such, you must learn how to control your temper. If you ever lose control like you did just now during a Quest when you find yourself surrounded by Monsters, your anger might take the best of you, and you will make bad decisions and cause the death of anyone that is with you in that Quest. You might be the sole survivor from that dangerous situation, but if Nozomu is with you, he will for sure die and you will regret it forever.”
Taisetsuna suddenly felt her throat going dry, and she slowly nodded. She spoke in a low voice, her words fighting to get out, “I… am sorry too, Miss Koyaga. I... am sorry, Guild Master. Nozomu almost died a few days ago, and at that moment, I thought I was going to lose him. Seeing him being blown away made me remember that all over again, and I couldn’t control myself. I wanted to kill Miss Koyaga, for letting Nozomu get hurt like that. I still do, actually… Nozomu almost died again… and this time it was because of her...”
Koyaga Azusake frowned, “I just apologized and you still want to kill me… Either you learn how to control that kill intention of yours, or I might need to sleep with my door locked and my sword under my pillow! For God’s Raluth sake, calm down, girl! We are all friends here! And I am almost sure that even if any of us warned Nozomu, he might still be dumb enough to mess with that bush!”
Taisetsuna made a slight smile and nodded, “Yeah, he might… He is a lot calmer than he used to be, but since he forgot everything, he doesn’t have any common sense. Even a toddler knows that a ‘Fool’s Death’ bush is not to be messed with. And he just kicked one! How dumb can he be, right?”
They all laughed, and Nozomu crossed his arms over his chest, “Yeah, now you laugh! You are all crazy! This was just a stupid situation to begin with, and none of this would have happened if I knew something about that weird explosive bush and those strange flies that make honey! How can they even make honey if the nectar in those flowers acts like nitroglycerin? Strangest thing ever! I would expect flies that could make gunpowder, but delicious honey? How is that even possible?”
The Guild Master spoke while cleaning the tears of his laughter that were running down his face and dripping on his clothes, “I don’t know what that nitro thing is, or that powder you mentioned, but ‘Ergy’ honey is just one more gift that God Raluth bestowed upon our World! Things are like they are, no point searching for an explanation because there isn’t any! I am just surprised because those two Unicorns didn’t even bat an eye with all this mess. Not even the explosion annoyed them, they are just grassing around, as if nothing had happened!”
Nozomu caressed the snout of ‘Rampage’ that was nearby and raised his head when he heard the word Unicorns. He was getting used to the sudden explosions every time Nozomu was around, and that bush exploding didn’t make half the noise he heard last time.
Nozomu made a slight smile and spoke, “Considering the damage and the noise I made in that field near the Orphanage, they might have gotten used to sudden noises and explosions. I saw ‘Furnace’ glowing with Magic around her when we were restraining Suna, and I think she was about to attack us to help her if she didn’t manage to almost get free.”
The Guild Master slowly nodded while looking at the red Unicorn that was frowning at him with angry wrinkles around her eyes, “Yeah, I think you are right. She doesn’t seem too happy with us. It would probably be a good idea if we forgot about training, things were already too dangerous for my taste. And I am still annoyed with you, young lady, for mocking my name!”
Taisetsuna answered with a slight smile, “Well, you could put some of your anger in a fight against Nozo. You said you wanted for us to do a little training, but you didn’t see him fight.”
The muscular Guild Master rubbed his chin while evaluating Nozomu from top to bottom, “You are right, I didn’t see what he is capable of. He moves fast, and he is strong, but can he fight? I doubt the Priest failed to teach him, but one could never tell. If he forgot everything he was taught, he may need to start all over... What do you say, Nozomu, are you ready for a little test?”
