The Pharaoh's Master

Prologue

Prologue

Jan 30, 2022

5,000 years ago in the lost city of Aten, in ancient Egypt, there lived a tyrannical pharaoh. He thirsted for more, he wanted true power and authority that no one would dare question. So the pharaoh committed an unforgivable sin.

He rejected the gods.

He proclaimed that he was the one true god reincarnated.

But that was only the beginning…

Word spread far and wide reaching even the most hidden corners of Egypt. Hatred grew in the peoples hearts, turning them cold. People from far and wide descended upon the capital. Hoping beyond hope that they can sway the pharaoh's heart to pray for forgiveness from the gods.

When their pleading cries went unanswered, the protests began.

Then the riots, soon it reached the palace walls. The pharaoh couldn’t sit by and watch his country fall into chaos. Baffled from the reactions of his people the pharaoh hid himself away in the palace.

As the crime grew, so did the pharaoh’s ruthlessness. In a fit of rage the pharaoh ordered his army to execute the rioters. Because of his frightening power, they obeyed.

During the long and bloody battle the pharaoh’s army grew weary from exhaustion, and begged for the pharaoh to call for a truce with the civilians. Outraged, the pharaoh then ordered that all civilians shall be executed, regardless of their status.

The pharaoh’s army refused to carry out the order. They tried to detain the deranged pharaoh. The pharaoh was completely devoured by madness, he started to kill anyone or any living thing in his sight.

After three long days the pharaoh stood in the city center alone, surrounded by the corpses of his citizens, army, family, friends, and he laughed maniacally.

Thick black clouds suddenly began forming in the sky, spitting out lightning in every direction, a choir of booming voices echoed from the heavens.

“Pharaoh Amun for your crimes

Against the great country of Egypt,

And for rejecting the gods,

You will be cursed to live forever until

Your lesson is learned.

Repent, Pray, and serve your master.”

With those words the Pharaoh was mummified alive by the gods and laid to rest in the city center. In this comatose state Amun couldn’t move, only think about his actions. Then the gods buried the great city of Aten and wiped its name from history to be forgotten, until the arrival of the new master.
