(A/N: Above is a reference of Yana. She has black hair!!)
"Thanks." Theo muttered, unbuckling her seatbelt. She climbed out of the car, hopping onto the curb.
"No problem." Georgia piped, tucking her keys in her purse, hopping out of the car herself.
Theo stopped and looked to Georgia, anger in her dark eyes. "What the hell are you doing?"
"I'm going with you." She shrugged. "Obviously."
Theo looked as if she couldn't believe her ears. "Why do you think I'd let you in my room?"
Georgia pointed to her face. "Your injuries. You haven't been taking care of them." Georgia opened her purse to reveal bandaids, swelling cream, and gauze. "Let me help you."
"No." Theo stated. "I don't need your help, and I don't want it."
She stepped off the curb and hurried across the street, her head hung low. She stopped at her backyard fence and looked to Georgia who had followed her.
"I said no, dumb bitch." She barked.
Georgia stared at her blankly. "And I said I'm helping you." She smiled. "Dumb bitch."
Theo smiled irritably. "You don't listen, do you?" She smirked, stepping close enough to Georgia that she could smell her minted breath. "I don't need you. Screw off."
Georgia didn't move. "I'm not leaving."
Theo's smile faltered. "I'll deck you. Right here, right now. Do not test me."
Georgia looked Theo up and down. "Where's the 'try me' button, ginger?" Georgia's smile widened as Theo grabbed her collar and pulled her through the backyard.
"Do you know how to climb, Blondie?" Theo asked, situating her backpack on her front. "Climb up there. I always leave it unlocked when I go out." She pushed Georgia up onto stacked boxes, urging her quickly. "My dad might be awake. Be quiet."
Georgia rolled her eyes and stepped onto the window sill, pulling the window up. She sighed when the warmth hit her, grateful to be out of the cold. She took off her jacket as Theo climbed in after her, tossing it on a random chair.
Georgia spilled the contents of her purse onto the bed, spreading them out.
No one uttered a word as Theo pulled her shirt over her head, revealing bruises and welps on her abdomen. Georgia didn't hesitate to squeeze medicine onto her palm, hurriedly rubbing it into Theo's battered skin.
Occasionally there was a softly spoken "sorry" when Georgia pressed too hard, earning a flinch from Theo. And a softer "it's okay" followed every time.
"This will help the swelling go down." Georgia stated, moving to Theo's face, thumbing her swollen eye. "Put it on every night."
"Okay." Theo mumbled, closing her eyes. She sat like a child, waiting for any further instruction.
"This will burn a tad bit." Georgia warned, soaking a cotton ball in alcohol. "I'll try to do it fast, though." She whispered, careful to keep her voice low. She tapped the cotton ball on every open cut, cleaning it before bandaging them.
"Damn," Theo hissed, wincing when Georgia cleaned a wide cut. "That hurts like hell." She complained, jerking backwards.
"Don't move!" Georgia frowned, grabbing Theo's face, pulling it back towards her. "I'm almost done. You giant baby." Georgia peeled the covering off of a few band-aids, placing them over open scabs and cuts.
Theo mumbled curses as Georgia finished with her face.
"Are you done?" The ginger asked, pulling her shirt back on.
Georgia shook her head, reaching for wrap-around bandages. "Hands." She ordered, setting her hands in front of Theo. "You've scraped your knuckles pretty badly." Georgia noticed, scanning over Theo's hands. The knuckled skin was raw, fleshed with pink. "I'm just going to wrap them up. So they don't get infected or something."
She slowly worked around Theo's swollen fingers, wrapping her knuckles tightly.
"There." Georgia smiled. "I advise you to stop fighting for a couple days. So they can heal properly."
Theo grunted. "I can't do that." She shook her head.
Georgia furrowed her brows. "Why? If it's for the money, you scored plenty tonight, I'm sure missing a few matches won't hurt."
Theo ran her hands through her hair. Georgia watched her expression closely through the faint darkness.
"I'd lose my mind." Theo stated. "I can't just do nothing. It's a distraction. I need it."
Georgia sighed, collecting her items, stuffing them back in her purse. "You could go to school, you know? I saw our school lanyard in a video of you fighting. You've been ditching, I assume?"
Theo sighed, rolling over onto her side. "I can't go there, either."
Georgia paused. "Is it because Yana also goes to our school?" Georgia asked, her voice barely a whisper. She took Theo's sudden silence as a yes.
"It doesn't matter. They're going to expell me anyways, I might as well just not go." Theo mumbled into a pillow.
"Why are they going to expell you? Did you cause too many fights or something?" Georgia joked, slowly walking across the room. Theo's room was average, nothing like Georgia had imagined. There was a bookshelf, filled with books she probably didn't read, and a set of bean bags in the corner, lit under fairy lights. Georgia had told herself not to laugh when she found a pile of stuffed animals in a corner.
"Yes." Theo answered. "My grades suck, too."
Georgia hesitated, her lips spread, her head spinning in an attempt to form words. The sudden silence in the dark room made Georgia's chest tighten, her eyes focused on the girl laid out on the bed.
"Just try it." She whispered. "Come to school, Theo."
