After overcoming the temple, Hanon and the party finally face against Gaeda, a crystalized being of Vaati's creation holding Helare, Hanon's best childhood friend, inside its core. After a long, agonizing battle, Neph delivers the final blow to the creature with her fire rod, freeing the Zora warrior much to Hanon's relief. Unconscious but seemingly unharmed, they make their way back to base with Eelan's help.
