In the dead of the night, I heard the crunch of several branches. I opened my eyes surveying my surroundings only to notice a couple of Berserk wolves eyeing the campsite. I gave a loud whistle that startled everyone in the camp.

"What happened?" Nine came out with an irritated expression and I don't blame him it should be roughly around 3 am.

"There is a pack of berserk wolves, it's currently assessing us seeing if we are easy prey" Once those words left my mouth his face turned ashen.

"We have to wake the others before they decide we are its next meal" Nine proceeded to wake the camp so that we could prepare and depart.

I shook the noble lady's arm to wake her, she looked my way confused, I signaled with my finger over my lip for her to keep silent. She nodded in understanding, leading her to the carriage I signaled for her to stay in it since the [Protective Dome] was still in effect and would be the only way to keep her safe

I darted in the direction I heard clawing and hissing

"6 Berserk Giant wolves and what's that?"

A variant of Berserk Wolf, humanoid form.

"Kai, Gil fall back and make sure the wolves don't make it into the merchandise"

I sent it toward the fixi, she jumped back baring its fangs towards me.

"Nine have you seen one of these beings?"

"No, they don't usually leave the depth of the forest, its probably just looking for a new base and we were unlucky enough to find it"

"GRAWWWWAR!!!"

The fixi charged toward Nine digging its claws forward, he raised his sword and blocked it out.

 Retreating a few steps I realized that a couple of berserk wolves made their way to Kai and the carriage.

A dim red light flowed out of my hand at incredible speed, locking around the neck of the Berserk Wolf as if gravity itself became severe on it crushing down little by little until it no longer moved.

"Kai, @$#%!$ !^&!% @^!@^% ?" (Are you okay?")

He looked confused, Oh! Right he can't understand me.

I heard a loud crash from behind, Nine broke off the Fixi's claws off but was sent off flying, flipped in the air propelling himself from the tree behind him. His blade graced the neck of the fixi just enough for it to falter.

[Upsurge]

The fixi was locked in place, leaving Nine to land the finishing blow to its neck.

"Well, you don't see one of those every day" -Nine

Walking toward the carriage the young mistress from the Miru family launched out the carriage towards me crying her eyes out, and I don't blame her, I'm certain she doesn't encounter situations like these often or at all, to begin with.

We continued through the road until we saw the town gates of Myasia and as expected the gates were decorated with banners celebrating the soon summoning of the maiden and the hero.

After saying my goodbyes to the Young Mistress of the Miru family we headed to the guild to collect the reward.

On the surface, it looked like a prosperous country but behind all the pretense their monarch system was always on its toes since everyone wanted the crown, the only reason the current king maintained his position was because of his shrewdness.

Walking along the street I bumped into a guard.

Keil looked down and thought for a while before speaking " Sorry… Have I seen you before?"

Oh boy, this was one of the knights that appeared at the slave trade house on the day that we escaped. I shook my head firmly and gave him an awkward smile.

Nine seemed to notice my predicament and came over "Is there a problem?"

"No, he bumped into me that's all" I removed the hood of my cape once he saw my feature Kiel blushed.

" I apologize you looked familiar"

"Isn't that pick-up line a little too old?" Nine smirked at him

"Where are you headed? I can guide you there" Keil placed a hand behind his head and it was clear that his words were directed to me, but before I could even blink Nine said yes.

In the guildhall Keil kept looking in my direction hesitating to approach me in the end he still came up to me "I didn't mean it as a pick-up line… what I said earlier"

I tilted my head to the side and raised a brow, I reached for my bag and pulled out my "notebook" and wrote "that's good to know"

He looked at my notebook in surprise, but still said: "It's just that you looked like someone I saw a while back but with your features you shouldn't be from around, right?"

Ah, very clever, he's trying to know where I come from. I wrote "that's right I come from a different country per se"

"I see…"

Nine, Kai, and Gail came back with the reward money, making my way to them they split the reward equally as well as the reward for the pelt and materials belonging to the berserk wolves.

"Do you have something to do? if not can I invite you to the Center Square to eat?" Looking back I saw Keil still persistently looking my way so I reached for Kai's hand and nodded. 

At the Center Square the locals placed their stalls like a market and everything smelled great, the one that caught my eye was the one selling cobbs.
