-Tobias-
I stared at the handsome man, but no matter his looks, I already wanted to strangle the guy. Of course, the moment I was finally getting laid, someone had to come and interrupt it!
“Zed who?! Why the fuck are you under my window watching us like a creep?! This is private property!” I hissed at him.
“I’m the new bodyguard Mr. Locke ordered,” Zed clarified, a pleasant smile still on his lips. “I am here to protect you, and all the other occupants of this mansion. And given your DNA, you must be Mr. Locke’s son, Tobias.”
I blinked a few times, and it took me a moment to understand his words. A bodyguard? What bodyguard?? And what did he mean by my DNA??
But then it clicked.
“You’re the android?” I asked with wide eyes. “But… You’re… You look… Human?”
“That is how I was designed, yes,” Zed replied.
I blinked a few more times. I knew dad had teamed up with humans to create the perfect bodyguard and soldier, but he looked way too damn perfect to be a machine!
But that was the thing, right? He looked too perfect.
“Of course, you’re the fucking android,” I sighed. “Great…”
“A-Android?” Gary muttered with wide eyes.
“Dad’s new toy,” I said, feeling disappointed. Of course, he was too good to be true. Or real, in this case.
“But… They’re not real? There are no such things as androids!” Gary spoke in shock.
“They are now – Dad teamed up with a human scientist to mass produce these things,” I explained hastily before turning my back on him. “So? What do you want?” I asked the android.
“I wanted to know what this young man,” Zed nodded at Gary, “was sneaking around for. Now that I’ve confirmed he’s not an assassin after Mr. Locke’s or your life, I won’t have to terminate him. But I will be escorting him off the premises now.”
“Terminate him? Are you fucking serious?!” I nearly screeched. “He’s my boyfriend, not an assassin! My fucking God, Dad has completely lost it!”
“T-There really isn’t any need for that.” Gary chuckled nervously, keeping his hands up in a sign of truce while backing away from the android. “There must be some kind of misunderstanding here…”
I waved at him to stay silent and turned back to the android. “Look, no one gave you the permission to come into my room! Gary isn’t a threat! Do you understand?! You’re the one threatening to kill my boyfriend!”
Zed ignored my words, his eyes focused on Gary. “I will give you one chance to come willingly, or I will sedate you and carry you outside. Your choice.”
“You are not serious!” I yelled, stepping in front of the window. “You’re not taking him anywhere!”
Zed, again, didn’t respond. He stood there motionlessly for a few seconds, keeping his gaze fixed on Gary. Then, he raised one arm, and shot something at Gary from his fingertip, hitting him in the arm.
“You shot him?! You serious?!” I shouted as I ran to Gary, who suddenly collapsed on the floor.
Once I got to him, he was completely knocked out. I turned to glare at the approaching android. “You stay the fuck away from us! This is my home! My room! You can’t come in here!”
Zed continued getting closer, but stopped a few feet away from me and Gary.
“Please, step aside, Tobias,” he said.
“I’m not moving!” I hissed at him.
Zed blinked. “His genitals will not be functioning for give or take the next eight hours after that tranquilizer. He won’t be able to perform, so there’s no reason to keep him here anymore.”
I stared at him so hard I feared my eyes would pop out. Then I raised my finger at him. “And whose fault is that?!”
“Mine,” Zed readily admitted. “It is my job to keep this mansion secure and remove intruders.” He started moving again towards Gary.
“Don’t you dare!” I started, but he gave me a pleasant smile.
“If you insist on keeping him here as a guest,” he said, “I’ll have to inform Mr. Locke.”
I squinted my eyes at him. If Dad found out about this… Even the thought of it made me exhausted. What else could I do? I crossed my arms over my chest and stepped aside.
“This is going to be so fucking wonderful…” I muttered.
“Thank you for understanding and cooperating,” Zed said. He picked Gary up like he weighed nothing and hoisted him onto his shoulder. Then he smiled at me. “I hope we will be able to get along wonderfully, too. And, if I may, a word of advice.” He gestured at Gary with his free hand. “For your next guest, you can do better than this werewolf. Your physical appearance is significantly more aesthetically pleasing than his.”
I squinted my eyes at him even harder. “Don’t think you can get away with this with a couple of sweet words,” I told him.
“Then I will offer you more in the future. To get on your good side,” Zed responded.
“That will never happen,” I growled at him, but he ignored me.
I watched him leave my room, then sighed, shaking my head in anger and frustration… First Xander and Nicolai, then getting wine thrown at me. Now this…
“What a fucking perfect day…” I muttered.
