Luna: “A Letter? And it’s for me? Let’s see… Dear Luna if you happened to find this letter it means me and your father haven’t returned yet or you’ve just found it by chance, the point is I left this letter for you in the chance something happened to us or if we were betrayed.” (Betrayed? What’s uncle talking about?) 

Luna: “I can’t give you the full details just know that you can’t fully trust these men, if things go south and chances are they might you’ll have to take matters into your own hands and escape, but lucky for you there is someone I believe you can trust, his name is Morris, and he’s a pilot, what I want you to do is go seek him out, he should be by the chopper, use the key in the chest to the door and go see him, he should also have a radio channeled to your father, Luna whatever you do don’t let your guard down around these mercenaries understood? Do your best. Love Charles and Ryan. Did father write this too? No, it was Uncle of course… he and mother are the only ones that would love me like any parent would.” (But this is no time to feel depressed! Uncle and father departed hours ago, so who knows what could have happened. I have to be strong and find Morris, maybe there might even be a way to save them!) 

Luna: “Thank you uncle.” 

Luna took the key and slowly opened the door, looking to see if anyone was by it. 

Luna: “It’s clear, time to get moving!” 

Luna snuck around the ship, avoiding contact. 

Luna: (I have to get to the chopper without getting spotted.) 

Luna then spotted two soldiers closing in. 

Luna: (Uh oh!) 

She quickly hid behind a couple of barrels and watched the two walk pass. 

Luna: “Close one.” 

Luna continued onward. Next she snuck through the cafeteria where a group of 7 were conversing. To avoid contact, she crouched on the ground near the tables and overheard their conversation. 

Soldier 50: “It’s been 5 hours.” 

Soldier 73: “And yet no contact whatsoever.”  

Soldier 63: “You think they found the treasure?” 

Soldier 50: “I sure as hell hope so!” 

Soldier 66: “To think once they find Allamore’s treasure we’ll all be swimming in cash!” 

Soldier 68: “If they find it!” 

Soldier 67: “I’m sure they will that Maxdell guy has done success expedition hunts before.” 

Soldier 64: “Hey you don’t think they already have and are just keeping it a secret from us do ya?!” 

Luna: (That’s right father kept the whole angel and heart of Glarera thing a secret to most of the men on board!) 

Soldier 73: “Idiot, why would they? Us and this ship are their only way back to civilization.” 

Soldier 63: “I guess but what if that treasure is cursed and turns anyone who touches it into zombies?!” 

Soldier 67: “Are you an idiot or something?” 

Soldier 63: “I’m just saying you never know!” 

Soldier 73: “I doubt it man besides never heard of a case related to zombies when it came to the stories.” 

Soldier 67: “Exactly worst-case scenario they don’t find any treasure at all.” 

Soldier 50: “Now we wouldn’t want that now would we or should I say Maxdell wouldn’t.” 

Luna: “...” 

Soldier 64: “Hehehe you know I’ve been wondering about that.” 

Soldier 73: “He saids he can find us the treasure but not a single person has had any luck with it, most people say it’s just a goose chase.” 

Soldier 64: “Well for his sake and his family we wouldn’t want that, after you just don’t hire a band of mercenaries and expect things to go smoothly if we don’t get our pay, right, boys?” 

Soldier 50: “Damn straight I wouldn’t want to ruin his cute daughter’s face now would I?” 

All the soldiers: “Hahahaha!” 

They all laughed, while Luna was completely terrified. 

Luna: (Father, Uncle, did you both have a good plan for this?! Surely you must have right?!) 

Soldier 68: “Man I’m exhausted, I’m heading back to my cabin.” 

Soldier 50: “Same here!” 

Luna: (I’ve got to get going and find Morris now!) 

Luna slipped pass the men in the cafeteria and made it to the upper deck where she saw the chopper. 

Luna: “There it is I have to hurry!” 

Suddenly Luna ran into 3 men standing guard. 

Luna: (!!!!) 

Soldier 77: “Hey aren’t you Maxdell’s chick?” 

Soldier 79: “That’s his daughter moron!” 

Soldier 77: “Right, right anyway, what are you doing here, little girl?” 

Luna: “I….” 

Soldier 77: “What’s the matter?” 

Soldier 74: “Shouldn’t you be locked in your cabin?” 

Luna froze for a moment, terrified of what the men would do to her. 

Luna: (Calm down Luna, relax, remember they haven’t found out on father’s true intentions.) “I...I came to meet up with Morris!” 

Soldier 79: “Morris?” 

Luna: “Yeah, he freed me from my cabin on father’s orders and told me he wanted me to meet him by the chopper to talk with father on the radio.” 

Soldier 79: “Huh? For reals?” 

Soldier 77: “I don’t buy it.” 

Luna: (What?!) 

Soldier 74: “What?” 

Soldier 79: “How come Sheen?” 

Sheen: “Because this isn’t the first time she’s escaped from her cabin, not to mention she snuck on board without her father noticing.” 

Luna: (!!!!) 

Soldier 79: “Hey that’s right, actually.” 

Sheen: “Looks like you’ve been caught red-handed.” 

Soldier 74: “I should ask Morris myself to see if this is true.” 

Morris: “It is.” 

Sheen: “Huh?” 

The men turned around to see that it was Morris. 

Soldier 79: “Pence for real?” 

Morris: “Yep, her father’s orders.” 

Sheen: “Hmph whatever.” 

The men walked away. 

Luna: “Thank you Morris!” 

Morris: “Let’s talk by the chopper.” 

After a walk to the chopper. 

Morris: “Kid, what are you doing out here?” 

Luna: “Uncle wrote on the note that you would be the safest person to go to for help.” 

Morris: “Heh your father really got me by the balls so I suppose.” “Are my father and uncle safe?” 

Morris: “Yeah I got a call from them not too long ago for an extraction, just waiting for the signal.” 

Luna: “I see.” 

Morris: “You know your father really played his luck.” 

Luna: “I know.” 

Morris: “I wouldn’t be surprised if they both already took the bullet.” 

Luna: “Don’t say that!” 

Morris: “That’s probably why your uncle wanted you to see me, so that I could fly you out of here.” 

Luna: “...” 

Morris: (Yep on the dot.) “Tch bastard Maxdell making everyone’s day difficult, if only he didn’t beat me at my own game I wouldn’t be this loyal to him.” 

Luna: “My father beat you at something?” 

Morris: “Yeah a game of poker, note that I was a king at Blackjack so poker was new to me, I wanted to get my hands ready for something a bit more daring after all if you gambled as long as me learning new tricks is a must.” 

Luna: (Or you can just stick to Blackjack since it’s your specialty.) 

Morris: “I was itching for new competition so I practice poker, I was even good at it beating a bunch of mid-level players, I was ahead of my game ready to take on the pros and make poker my second coming but one day in the Meldic’s Luck Bar only a few blocks away from my job I ran into your father and Uncle who were looking for a personal helicopter pilot.” 

Luna: “A personal? You mean you aren’t part of the mercenaries?” 

Morris: “Nope I got dragged along and was forced to cooperate, all because your father whooped me in poker.” 

Luna: “How unfortunate I’m sorry.”

Morris: “It’s fine, but I tell ya that Maxdell is one crazy bastard! In order to get me to play his overall game he betted half his fortune over to me.” 

Luna: “What?!!” 

Morris: “Sheesh keep it down, girl!” 

Luna: “Sorry but half his fortune?!” 

Morris: “Yep if I won that is, so hearing that I agreed in a heartbeat, but he made it absolutely clear that if I lost to him, I would swear nothing but loyalty to him and fly him out of any danger he got himself into.” 

Luna: “Wow, but how come he didn’t introduce you to me and Mom if you were his personal pilot?” 

Morris: “Well your father and uncle did things, how do I put it? Not exactly were legal.” 

Luna: “What?! What do you?!” 

Morris: “Look I shouldn’t be telling you any of this so how about we just--“ 

Luna: “Please continue.” 

Morris: “[Sigh]” (Me and my big mouth!) “Your father and uncle delve in the black market and would meet with dealers in certain parts of the country to gather information on the heart of Glarera and to assemble a small army.” 

Luna: “And that’s how we ended up here.” 

Morris: “Right for 6 years I worked for him and his brother, I guess you can say I’m their partner in crime, but yeah I don’t know if both your father and uncle will make it out of this one.” (Which is why I decided to help those two kids escape in the first place cause I wanted out on this crazy mission of Maxdell’s.) 

Luna: “So what do we do?” 

Morris: “Well I’m waiting for your father’s signal so we’ll just have to wait here and see what happens, but one thing for sure the men on board haven’t been alert on any of Maxdell’s downplay so we should still be safe for now.” 

Luna: “Father, Uncle please return here safely.” 

Morris: (Poor girl.)
