Today’s insight into Korean culture warns us about not using red ink to write our names. Red ink was traditionally used to write the names of the deceased and to this day Koreans avoid this as it may bring bad luck, failure or…even worse! Better safe than sorry!
We are Susu, Carro and KP, a trio of close knit friends that are embarking on their study abroad adventure to Korea!
Come along with us as we explore the culture, language and all the awesome things and experiences Korea has to offer.
Susu is the brave, childish friend who’s always dreamed of becoming a K-pop idol but who unfortunately is not that great at singing. She will never stop trying though.
Carro is Susu’s timid little buddy, always close by, cheering everyone on. They want to discover their own talents and learn new things while studying abroad in Korea.
KP used to be the villain of their village. He is still a little mischievous at times but he’s become a loyal friend. His problem solving skills will come in hand while living in Korea.
Finally, we have Soo, the Korean teacher at S&C Korean Language Institute. She will be their guide into Korean language and culture.
Look forward to joining our friends on this exciting journey to a new place and learning about Korean culture and language along with them!
