Before Emris and Maria walk back to the packhouse they decided to wander around the pack grounds. On their aimless journey, they saw a mall made for the pack to shop, buy food, and so the pups could mess around with their friends. Maria wasn't used to this many people all at one time. But, she wasn't focused on the people. She was focused on the bright fairy lights cascading on the trees and stores.

"This place is awesome" - she said out of astonishment

"Oh, yeah I almost forgot that you don't know what a plaza or mall is. You've been living under a rock for most of your life". That earned a snort and eye roll from Maria.

Maria decided to walk into one of the stores, and the minute that she did she instantly regretted it. As she made her first step she heard a peculiar high voice screech.

"How could Nick choose that wild mutt over me!!!"

"Ugh, not this bucket coochie again" - Maria said it loud enough for everyone to hear, including Rebecca. A few people in the store laughed causing Rebecca to go red in the face. That made Maria smirk, knowing that she embarrassed her. But what she didn't expect was when she felt a slight sting in her right cheek. Rebecca just slapped Maria in the face.
