CHAPTER:11

A dire battle and hidden being

Rise: “Are you done shady?”

[Gunshot]

The bullet knocked Rise’s head.

Rise: “Aaah!”

Lay then focus 50% of his aura into his left foot and kicked Rise in the chin, making him release Lay.

Lay: “Got you now you Meathead!”

As Lay was about to go in for a stab at Rise’s stomach, Rise uppercut Lay 90 feet into the Air.

Lay: (????)

Nowell: “Lay!!”

Ryan: “What the heavens?!”

Rise: “Ugh! Not cool pretty boy, since I used 59% of my aura to transfer to my arm, the rest of my defense was cut having your bullet do some damage to me, in fact if I didn’t have any aura around my body from the start I would be dead.”

Nowell: “Crap!” (I poured 100% into that along with naked eye!)

Rise: “But that was my fault for getting too carried away and forgetting about you, don’t worry, you’re a dead man!”

Nowell: (Crap again!) 

Meanwhile, with Lay

Lay: “[Blood cough] (That guy is strong, I don’t know how I’m going to damage him, none of my attacks are working!)

Lay look down at Rise, looking at Nowell.

Lay: (Maybe I have one more technique.)

Rise: “Come on little buddy let’s play!”

Lay: “Rise!!!”

Lay scream from in the air

Rise: “Huh?”

Lay: “I’m not done with you!!”

Lay focus his aura.

Rise: “Stubborn as a jackass.”

Lay then extended his aura into grabbing the knife.

Rise: “What?! When did he?!” 

Then went into a stance mid air.

Lay: “Take this!” (Crazer touch!)

Lay sent an aura projectile down to Rise.

Rise: (!!!!)

Rise block it.

Rise: “...!”

Rise’s arms had a small cut.

Rise: (Unbelievable, when did he? That move actually cut through my force field.)

Lay fall to the ground.

Nowell: “Rylon!”

Rise: “That move, what was that just now?”

Nowell: “Lay are you ok?!”

Nowell yelled from a distance from Lay.

Lay: “[Heavy breath]”

Lay slowly got back up.

Rise: “Oi shady, what was that just now?” 

Lay: “An… an attack duh dumbass.”

Rise: “Well, obviously smart guy, but tell me, how did you do it? How did you grab back your knife that was 4 meters from you in the air and shoot out that projectile?”

Lay: “What?”

Nowell: “What’s he going on about?”

Rise: “Tell me now dammit!!”

Lay: “you’re talking about extending your aura from your body?”

Rise: “Is that what it is?”

Nowell: (Seriously? He doesn’t know about extending aura? Everyone who learns Forcer knows it! But then again that’s only if you listen to the teaching, and as he said.)

[Flashback]

Rise: “Because I didn’t study that little religion of yours, unlike you too I’m self taught and could care less how big of a deal this angel is.”

[Present time]

Nowell: (I see so he doesn’t know the full extent!)

Rise: “So how do you extend your aura from your--?”

Nowell: “Lay don’t Tell him!”

Rise: “Hey!”

Lay: “Like I was planning to.”

Rise: “Grrrr!”

Nowell: “Maxdell! You and your brother go on ahead of us!”

Ryan and Charles: “What?”

Nowell: “This guy is no one to take lightly, he’s strong, too strong! You two need to get some distance from this battle!”

Ryan: “But what if--?!”

Nowell: “You’re dead if we lose, anyway. Better to just get to safety, anyway!” 

Ryan: “I…”

Charles: “We understand. Hopefully, we’ll see you both by the shores.”

Nowell: “Get going!”

Ryan and Charles ran and left the scene.

Rise: “you’re really not making this easy for me, girl scouts, now I gotta look for those two when I’m done.” 

Nowell: “You mad?”

Rise: “Hahahaha! Now you’ve asked for it!”

Rise began tensing up.

Nowell: (His aura’s increasing and sucking into his body, he’s going into that form!)

Lay: “Great.”

Rise: “I’m not holding back any longer!”

Meanwhile, with Ryan and Charles.

Charles: “Brother, isn’t there something we can do?”

Ryan: “What the blazes can we do to people like them? All we can do is play it smart and hope we survive!”

Charles: “But those two, they stand no chance!”

Ryan: “Charles that’s not our problem. The only reason they’re helping us is because I offered payment, but if they can’t even handle Rise, I have no use for them!”

Charles: “Ryan!”

Ryan: “Brother, let’s focus on getting to the shore. I want you and Luna to get home safely, and I want to make up for all I’ve put you both through.”

Charles: “Brother… do you mean that?”

Ryan: “Of course I do! During that illusion we were in, I saw you and Luna on the ground, lifeless, not to mention when I witnessed you actually being attack. It shook me to my core and finally made me realize what’s truly important. This journey was a mistake! But Charles, it’s not too late. If we hurry, we can still get out of this alive, along with Luna!” 

Charles: “We could but not without them!” 

Charles ran back.

Ryan: “Dammit, younger brother!”

Ryan ran back and followed.

Meanwhile, with Lay and Nowell witnessing Rise power up.

Lay: “Hindsight shoot at him!”

[Gunshots]

Nowell shot 5 rounds at Rise while Rise smile as the aura bullets hit his body.

Nowell: “The bullets they went in didn’t they?!” (Since he’s sucking in the aura his body shouldn’t have a force field.)

Rise: “Idiots, do you really think your weak ass bullets will do any to me in this form!”

Nowell shot again and saw that the bullets that were fired were sticking out of his body by being pushed out.

Nowell: “Darn it! Lay, let’s get some distance from this guy!”

Lay: “No way I’m going to--!”

Nowell: “Idiot! do you want to die?!”

Lay: “...” 

Rise: “Almost there it’s just a matter of time!”

Lay: “Alright let’s go!”

Lay and Nowell ran off.

Rise: (Doesn’t matter if you run I’ll catch you both in seconds.) “All done!”

Rise saw the two running 20 meters away and went into a sprint position.

Rise: “3, 2, 1.”

Rise raced off, catching up to them both in 3 seconds and attack.

Lay and Nowell: (!!!!) 

Lay and Nowell barely dodged the incoming fierce punch.

Rise: “Nowhere to run ladies!”

Nowell: “Lay up top the trees fast!”

Lay and Nowell quickly dashed into different directions and made up top large trees that we’re nearby.

Rise: (Damn splitting up, huh? Guess I’ll go after shady first.)

Lay made it up top the tree but suddenly behind him Rise 

appeared.

Lay: “Shit!”

Rise: “Die shady!”
