On the evening of the 28th day, a gathering of spectators near the community of Franklin were holding what was called a “Wormhole Watch Party” as they waited for something to eventuate. That night, when the Minare explorers came through the portal, the US launched a warhead to destroy what they identified as an unidentified flying object (aka UFO).

What you are about to read is the full video transcript of footage showing what happened that night:

0:01

(View from phone camera shows night sky with the wormhole in clear view, not too far from a full moon. Sounds of a small bonfire, music, a murmuring crowd, and crickets in the background. A small shimmering light identified as the UFO is seen moving away from the wormhole. Camera operator, later identified as Jamie Reznor, is the first identifiable voice heard on this recorded footage.)

 0:02 – 0:08

Jamie Reznor: Man, this is amazing! This is happening within my lifetime! Can’t wait to share this.

0:09

(Second voice, later identified as Catherine Foster, is the next to be heard.)

0:09 – 0:15

Catherine Foster: This is sickening. We should be trying to contact them first, not nuking them out of the sky right out the gate.

0:16 – 0:30

J: Hey, you heard the president. If they have the technology to create a portal in space, they should also have the technology to contact us first to let us know of their intentions. They didn’t give us a heads up so we should assume that they’re hostile.

0:31 – 0:35

C: But look, it’s just one! Shouldn’t there be more if it’s an invasion?

0:36 – 0:37

J: Could be a scout.

0:38 – 0:41

C: If it’s just a scout, then why is it–

0:41 – 0:49

(Unidentified voice in the background calls attention to nuke. A smaller shimmering light, later identified as the nuke, is seen heading for UFO’s position at faster speed. The camera zooms in.)

0:47 – 0:49

J: Oh shit, I see it! I see the nuke!

0:49 – 0:50

C: Where?

0:50 – 0:52

J: There! Over there! You see it?

0:53 – 0:56

C: Yeah, I see! I’m getting a real bad feeling.

0:55 – 1:00

J: Good stuff, good stuff. Here we go! And…

1:02 – 1:20

(The background crowd expresses sound of shock and awe as the nuke detonates and the explosion whites out the view. The camera zooms out as the explosion begins dissipation. Some applause is heard.)

1:03 – 1:08

J: Whoo! Boom goes the dynamite! That’s all she wrote, baby!

1:21 – 1:25

C: I hope this doesn’t come back and bite us in the ass.

1:26

(Jamie Reznor turns to Catherine Foster as she takes off solar glasses. There are others in the background who are doing the same.)

1:27 – 1:32

J: There’s no need to worry about it. We’ve got plenty of nukes. They can do it again if they must, I’m sure of it.

1:34 – 1:37

C: That’s not very comforting, Jamie.

1:37

(A couple of individuals can be heard fighting in the background. One of these individuals will be later identified as Tad Foster. Catherine and a few others turn to see the fighting nearby.)

1:39 – 1:40

J: What is it, babe?

1:41 – 1:43

C: Oh God, Tad!

1:43 – 2:03

(Catherine Foster, Jamie Reznor, and a few unidentified others run over and separate a fight between an angry unidentified individual and Tad Foster, who appears inebriated and to be taunting the angry unidentified individual. Catherine Foster gets in between Tad Foster and the angry unidentified individual, as others create a fair distance between both combatants.)

2:04 – 2:05

Tad Foster: Hey, Cat!

2:05

(Catherine Foster snatches a beer bottle out of Tad Foster’s hand.)

2:05 – 2:12

C: Seriously, Tad? You’re drinking again? You promised you wouldn’t do this if we took you to this stupid watch party!

2:13 – 2:15

T: Then it’s not a party, cuz!

2:16 – 2:17

J: What the hell did you do, Tad?

2:18

(Jamie Reznor turns to view the unidentified individuals as they attempt to calm the situation.)

2:18 – 2:28

T: Some people just look to get outraged. I just made a play on the word shine, you know, due to the explosion and him being black, he got his pussy all bent out of shape and chimped out.

2:28

(Jamie Reznor turns to view Catherine Foster and Tad Foster.)

2:28 – 2:30

C: The fuck, Tad! You know better!

2:31 – 2:34

T: Hey, at least I didn’t call him a nigger, right?

2:35

J: Jesus Christ!

2:36 – 2:49

T: Relax, they call each other that all the time, so why can’t we people? It’s just a word. It ain’t hurting anyone. It’s like calling a British person a brit, or a Japanese a jap.

2:50 – 2:52

J: Brit was never used as a slur, Tad!

2:53 – 2:57

T: Oh, how would you know? Were you there? Didn’t think so.

2:58 – 3:03

C: You know what? That’s it! I’m never taking you anywhere with us ever again!

3:04 – 3:08

T: Ah, you two stop being such snowflakes!

3:09 – 3:29

(Catherine Foster starts walking away out of exacerbation, as Tad Foster turns towards Jamie Reznor. A vehicle can be heard starting to speed away from the area.)

3:12 – 3:29

T: If we all stopped coddling each other, or worrying about hurting someone else’s feewings, maybe this society would finally grow some real balls!

3:30 – 3:56

(A vehicle can be heard hitting another unidentified individual without stopping. Screaming from a witness, who is later identified as Margo H. Tollis, draws attention from Jamie Reznor, Catherine Foster, and other unidentified individuals. Jamie Reznor runs over to the scene where Margo H. Tollis and other unidentified individuals are standing around either filming, talking on their phones or trying to aid the hit-and-run victim. Jamie Reznor approaches Margo H. Tollis.)

3:55 – 3:57

J: Hey! Hey! What happened?

3:58 – 4:01

Margo H. Tollis: Someone peeled out, hit this guy and kept on driving!

4:02 – 4:03

J: You get the license plate?

4:04 – 4:06

M: No! It happened so fast!

4:04

(A speeding RV can be heard approaching the crowd.)

4:07 – 4:10

J: Anyone got the license plate of the car?

4:11 – 4:27

(Unidentified voice in the background calls urgent attention to the speeding RV passing close by the crowd as it leaves the area. Multiple individuals seem angered or confused. The panicked voice of a fast-approaching motorcyclist, later identified as Luke Kidder, grabs the attention of Jamie Reznor and crowd.)

4:26 – 4:32

Luke Kidder: Everyone! Everyone! Get out of here! Go! Get the fuck out of here! Now! It’s coming!

4:33

(Luke Kidder points up to the sky, but Jamie Reznor doesn’t direct the camera to what is being pointed at.)

4:33 – 4:35

L: It’s coming! Aww, shit!

4:35 – 4:52

(Luke Kidder runs away as he places on his helmet. The crowd begins to panic. An increasing amount of panicked commotion and vehicle activity can be heard in the background, while Jamie runs to Catherine Foster and Tad Foster who are over by their car.)

4:52 – 4:53

J: We’ve got to get out of here!

4:53 – 4:54

C: What’s going on?

4:54 – 4:55

J: Get in the car!

4:56

C: What?

4:57 – 4:58

J: Get in the fucking car!

4:58 – 6:08

(Jamie Reznor, Catherine Foster, and Tad Foster enter the car. The camera is laid down on the armrest. The camera’s view is vague, but the audio can still be heard clearly. Activity within their vehicle and outside can be heard.)

4:58 – 5:00

J: Shit, shit, shit!

5:00 – 5:02

C: Is that what I think it is?

5:02 – 5:04

J: Yes, and we need to get as far away as possible!

5:05 – 5:06

C: Oh, God!

5:07 – 5:10

T: Fuck me! Go, go, go, go!

5:18

C: Watch out!

5:19 – 5:20

J: Move! Move!

5:25 – 5:27

C: This is bad! This is really bad!

5:36 – 5:38

T: Faster! Faster, man!

5:38 – 5:40

J: Shut the fuck up! I’m going as fast as I can!

5:51 – 5:52

C: Jamie, look!

5:55 – 5:58

J: No, no, no! Shit! Shit!

5:59 – 6:00

T: Quick, back up!

6:01

C: Look out!

6:02 – 6:08

(A vehicle can be heard rear-ending theirs. Car can be heard stalling.)

6:07 – 6:09

J: Fuck! We’re pinned in!

6:09 – 6:18

(Car’s doors heard opening. Jamie Reznor picks up his camera. Jamie Reznor, Catherine Foster and Tad Foster exit the car. Jamie Reznor’s camera shows their vehicle pinned in by another vehicle, then reveals other vehicles jammed on the bridge leading to the RV from earlier, which has crashed in a way that it has now blocked the middle of the bridge. People are scrambling about in a panic trying to get away.)

6:16 – 6:18

C: No, no! This can’t be happening!

6:19 – 6:24

(A reddish-orange glow from the fire around the UFO’s heatshield out of Jamie’s camera view quickly grows on the area as there is a sudden outburst of screams. The camera shows Catherine Foster and Tad Foster looking on towards the UFO in fear for their lives.)

6:21 – 6:22

C: Oh, God!

6:23 – 6:24

T: Oh, fuck me!

6:25

(Tad Foster throws himself off the bridge out of desperation.)

6:26 – 6:28

C: Oh, my God!

6:26

(Jamie Reznor turns the camera’s view towards the crashing UFO as it flies towards where he stands on the bridge.)

6:27 – 6:31

J: No! No! No! No! N-

(Recording Ends)

According to the official reports given by their indigenous daily events bulletins: five were dead, thirty-eight were missing and two were in critical condition. Undeterred by such tragedy, the main story of the Minare crashlanding - not the casualties - took the largest title the next day:

An alien scholar is sent by their institution to study, evaluate, and report on the colonial history of another galactic civilization known as the Apiary. There are only two planets under the Apiary's dominion: The empire's home world, Eas-Enerang, and Tir-Torzor, its sole colonized claim. This is the compiled historical records on the effects conquest has had over its native inhabitants.

{Content Warning: This story is a work of satire that uses some of the worst bits of human history, as its basis for creating certain characters and events. It involves instances of foul language, xenophobia, violence, recalling assault, and allusions to historical atrocities and tragedies. Discretion is advised.}
