The group manage to reach the entrance of the Shadow dragons lair. "We just got out of a cave and now we have to go back in?" Said a condescending Vera. "If the blood trail here is anything to go by, this is definetly th Shadow dragons lair." Said Eren. "You're damn right it is!" Said Maxwell, clearly injured along side Inferno. Ellena tries to use hero magic on Maxwell and Inferno but its clear they need extensive care to fully recover. It was clear that these injures came from a dragon. Maxwell told them that the Shadow dragon caught them by surprise, coming from the shadows. Eren knowing the potential risk told Vera and Ellena to stay with Maxwell. "If anything happens, you two should tell the public what happen. Plus its not like Maxwell and his partner can do much in their current state." Said Eren. Glacious lowered his head and Eren got on top of the ice drake. The duo proceeded to enter the cave and prepare to face the Shadow dragon.

Glacious and Eren enter the cave and saw many gems of different sizes illuminate the area. The light from the gems highlight a shadowy shape. A creature covered in black scales and purple bioluminescence, the Shadow dragon. The creature was resting in the center surrounded by bones. Eren and Glacious try to approach the dragon without disturbing it. They slowly make their way towards the Shadow dragon when Eren accidentally steps on a small bone shattering it. The Shadow dragon woke up and began searching for the duo. "Who dares enter this place?!" The Shadow dragon shouted. The duo were surprised to know that this dragon could speak. Before they could do anything, the Shadow dragon lowered its head to face Eren and Glacious. "You seem different from the other human. Yet you still bear the scent of those caused all of this and who seeks revenge on our kind. I assume they didn't tell you about the great war, the same war humanity caused." Said the Shadow dragon. Eren said that he was told of the tale from a young age but thought it was just a story. The Shadow dragon affirmed that the story was indeed real and began to tell him about those tragic years.

Many years ago, before there was the Kingdom of Feros, there was the Empire of Man. The empire was ruled exclusively by humans, a greedy and egotistical creature. They ruled over Feros with an iron grip and with their intellect no other species of similar intellect could stop them, except one. The Dragons not just rivaled humanity, they dwarfed humanity. The humans knew that the Dragons were a threat to their reign. So humanity began hunting and killing Dragons, but little did they know they had just started a war. Throughout the years many dragon species went extinct and eighty percent of the human population had perished. With the rise of the first dragon rider, the war came to an end and the tyranical empire was no more. During the war, two other civilizations had fallen as well due to reasons the Shadow dragon refused to say. Understanding that the Shadow dragon was victim of the war, Eren and Glacious choose to leave the lair and head back to the kingdom.

After the discussion, Eren and Glacious reunire with the rest of the group. Eren explains what he was told and the others were immediately shocked by what they heard. Everyone agrees to return home and tell the DRA of their foundings. After a few weeks of travel, they group returns to the Kingdom. Ellena decides to take Maxwell for medical treatment while Vera proceeds to return home for some rest. Eren and Glacious bid farewell and began heading for the DRA headquarters. Eren enters the DRA headquartes and procceeds to make his way to the top of the building. While Glacious waits outside, he begins to sense that something was off almost like a great disturbance was nearby the HQ. Meanwhile, Eren meets with Vilhelm at comfirms the completion of the mission. Eren begins to tell Vilhelm what the Shadow dragon told. Just before he could continue, a bang could be heard and Eren begins to feel a painful sensation from his abdomen. Eren looks and sees dark red blood on his hand that came from the wound. Eren collapses from the injury and hears "Sorry kid, but you know too much and i can't risk my objectives." coming from Vilhelm Neros himself.
