To be honest, the knitting thing is a conundrum. I adore fiber arts, but I'm reluctant to announce that because it's still socially seen as a "girl thing" which I'm not. Even if I surround myself with people who understand men can knit, there's that question of whether they see me as a man, or if they're seeing me as a girl who's pretending and confused.
