Back from hiatus and very excited to finish this in the next few months (provided my schedule is correct) (ง •̀_•́)ง
I spent a very long time on this episode I hope it's okay I ached and groaned over it so long lol ;v;
By the way, I couldn't figure out a way to explain this organically, but in case you're unfamiliar, the little checklist Rowan is doing is called HALT (it's an acronym) and is used as a sort of mental health check-in point. You assess whether your attitude or actions could be caused by Hunger, Anger, Loneliness, or Tiredness, and if so, address these needs before proceeding in order to curb unhealthy behaviours.
Li's having an off day. He's a good student, always on time, and on track to graduate and get a good job. But today he spaces out and misses the train to school despite standing right in front of it! Shocked and unsure of what to do next, he goes to the beach--even though it's winter--where he's found by his old friend Rowan (but mostly Rowan's dog). Rowan notices his friend is feeling... a bit not okay... and endeavors to help him through his muddled feelings!
