When kids hear the word cancer they think about hospitals and doctors and bald heads.

    They think about sadness and pain and loss…

     And death.

     To kids who haven’t yet experienced the world, cancer is a death sentence.

    Or at least… that’s what I thought all those years ago when Elliott told me that he had cancer.
