You know, when someone tells you something you don’t like, you try and pretend as if they didn’t say it at all? Or you don’t believe it to be true, even when all the facts are glaring down at you?

    That’s what I tried to do when Elliott told me that his cancer was back and that this time it wasn’t just one or two tumors but multiple. His lungs were absolutely rattled with tumors.

    Adults think the same as kids’ when they hear “cancer” too.
