(No One's Pov)
Mangle ran up the candle lit stairs and down the corridor before skidding out onto the balcony. She ran past several sisters of the temple who gave her either weird looks or glares of disapproval as she ran and once at the end of the balcony, she quickly turned into the first door back inside, almost running into a couple of priestesses. Mangle ran through the main chapel until reaching the front door of the temple, running into the first friendly smile she saw and hugging her happily. It was a woman of fair skin, deep ocean blue eyes and long wavy blonde and light brown hair as she was dressed in whites and rose red, along with her rose red jewelled pendant hanging around her neck. "Sister Mangle, please remove yourself from the princess" a woman of sunkissed skin, almond brown eyes, ebony brown hair laced with grey streaks and dressed in complete white. Mangle immediately stepped away from the princess to the other woman's side "Yes High Priestess" Mangle answered the woman in white before lowering her head "Sorry Princess Ashunti" Mangle apologised as Ashunti tried to hold back a small laugh "It's alright my dear angel" Ashunti smiled, pulling Mangle in for a proper hug before hearing the other woman clear her throat. "High Priestess Candace-" "Forgive me my princess, but Sister Mangle still has a lot of lessons to learn about acting like a proper lady" Candace spoke on top of Ashunti.
Unlike Mother Zoraida who is mostly an embracer, High Priestess Candace is very strict and traditional, she is a rule maker and firm rule follower. And another 'fun fact', Candace despises Hell's celestials and ever since Ashunti married Hell's reaper prince, Jackal Reaper, for love and becoming the two realms' peace treaty... Ashunti's not exactly Candace's favourite angel royalty.
"It is alright, High Priestess" Ashunti tried to assure Candace yet when it comes to the Light Temple's High Priestess... nothing will change her mind unless the words comes out of either God's or an archangel's mouth "Dear princess, what grace to hear of your presence" Mother Zoraida smiled, walking out of the temple and joining Candace's side. "Mother Zoraida, pleasant suns and visions welcoming you today?" Ashunti asked as the old woman's blindful eyes shone in the sunlight "As always my dear" Mother Zoraida answered "I believe you are finally here for your visit at the temple?" Candace questioned the princess yet received the answer she didn't want. "I'm sorry High Priestess, but my grandfather has sent me to see Mangle" Ashunti stated "Right, Sister Mangle can show you around the temple whilst you talk-" "He requested that I take her beyond the Light Temple's grounds today" Ashunti told Candace as the high priestess bit her tongue to hold back her own glare. "Splendid! Mangle could use some fresh air and sun" Mother Zoraida stated, agreeing with Ashunti "Go go, before the sun sets on you" Mother Zoraida waved them off as she ushered Candace back inside "Wait, Mother-" "Hush now, Candace. We've got our own holy work to do" Mother Zoraida interrupted before calling out "Enjoy your walk" to Mangle and Ashunti, both angels laughing a bit.
10am
Michael, again, walked around along the edge of the wall and each of the new guard angels who were now stationed along this part of the wall. The other guard angels who were stationed at the wall or part of the group who took part in Gamer Shadow's falling are currently not allowed to return to their posts whatsoever... their punishment still to be determined. Unconsciously, Michael detoured into the abandoned city near by known as Crelston. The archangel walked the lonely streets, no longer feeling the urge to properly acknowledge the ruins of the city as he walked up to the small grey house he knew used to be his 'brother's' home. Michael looked down at the now dead, decaying brownish-white roses piled by the door yet now no sign of the beautiful night-like rose Mangle had left 'Someone picked it... one of them picked it' Michael's anger grew even more. Not only has he lost a younger brother because of those judgemental angels he used to call guards... but now one of them has removed the only saddened love that his sister had left for the fallen angel. 'How dare they despise him, he was more purer than them... he was a million times more the angel any of them would ever be' Michael angrily signed, looking back up to the door. The white paint was badly chipped to the point it now showed the old grey wood underneath, the busted silver doorknob just barely kept its hold on the door and the old white paint-chipped doorframe... covered in scratch marks made from blunt nails belonging to the person who had been forcefully dragged out from the house, the only place they really felt safe. Michael reached for the doorknob yet froze as he chest grew heavy 'I... I-I can't-' Michael immediately backed away from the door, holding his chest as his eyes became glassy 'No- I can bring him back, I can get him back and make sure he's forever loved and safe' Michael told himself, walking away from the house 'I have to bring him back'.
Mangle has never been so close to Heaven's wall, the very wall that held nothing but sky and a great descent down to nothingness. Mangle now stood right by the wall, close enough to touch each and every brick if she wanted to "How old is this?" Mangle just randomly asked the princess "Honestly, I don't know... diffidently older than me- that's more of a question to ask my grandfather" Ashunti answered. "...would Mother Zoraida know?" Mangle asked, turning to the princess as Ashunti laughed a bit "I know Zoraida's old, but she's not that old" Ashunti laughed as Mangle feel slight... for only a few seconds. "What about-" "Let's draw our attention away from the brick wall and back to the main reason I wanted to talk to you" Ashunti suggested as Mangle bit back a sad sign, re-joining Ashunti's side "The Heavenly Light festival is coming up very soon, we're planning on having it about mid March, the same time as the solar eclispe that is also planned" Ashunti stated, rising up Mangle's new found excitement. "Is Queen Aristomache coming?" "Yes, she is" Ashunti answered "She'll be performing the solar eclipse-" "What about Jackal?" Mangle asked, accidentally interrupting the princess "Aristomache, Jackal and Satan will be here for the festival" Ashunti stated, smiling, happy to see the angel's excitement. "So... I talked to grandfather and Ianthe, and got their permission to ask and offer..." Ashunti let out a steady breath "I was wondering if you'd like to be my temporary 'angel-in-waiting' for the Heavenly Light festival" Ashunti asked as Mangle's eyes widened in pure excitement "Yes! I'd love to-" Mangle immediately stopped herself with the realisation of her loudness and immediately quietened her voice whilst Ashunti tried not to laugh. "I love your excitement so much" she laughed a bit "You remind me of another angel, tinier than you" the princess smiled as Mangle brightly smiled back "But um... what do I do ask 'angel-in-waiting'?" Mangle asked the princess "You'll mostly be by my side throughout the whole festival, all day everyday for the week" Ashunti answered.
"That'll mean that you'll also have to stay at Heaven's Palace as well" the princess added "I... get to leave the temple for a... a week?" "Yes-" Mangle immediately cheered as Ashunti laughed at the angel's inability to contain her excitement.
11am
A tiny grey-skinned angel with white hair and crystal blue eyes ran through one of the many corridors of the Peace Wing of Heaven's Palace before running out into the main entrance or 'heart' of the palace freezing up in fear and worry as she gripped her clipboard tightly, watching the unexpected visitor walk in through the palace's heavy front doors.
A woman with long ebony brown hair somewhat fading to white at the tips, beautiful sky blue eyes and flawless ivory skin covered in beautiful blues and whites with touches of gold, along with a faded blue-stoned necklace hanging from her neck.
"Queen Ianthe Peace" the tiny angel welcomed, giving a small curtsy as Ianthe walked over to her "Lye Beam, thank you for the warm welcome" Ianthe smiled before motioning the tiny angel to follow her back towards the Peace Wing of the palace. "My queen, it's great to see you've returned-" "I wish I could say the same" Ianthe muttered under her breath as her and Lye walked down the corridor "Your grandfather has organised a 'welcome home' dinner tonight along with tomorrow's day planned to the Heavenly Light festival planning" Lye stated, looking down at her clipboard. "And that includes-" "Decoration, deciding which stalls are allowed to set up along the main streets of Lykros, invitations and who to send them to" Lye listed as Ianthe signed "Right, anything else?" she asked the tiny angel who immediately answered. "Yes, you have an appointment with the Light Temple along with the selections of which priestesses you want at the opening light of the festival and to check over the spirit murals, and go over the reveal of the spirit-" "No" Lye came to a dead stop, looking up at the queen in confusion. "I'm sorry my queen, but 'no' to what exactly?" Lye questioned as the queen stopped "The reveal of the Light Spirit" Ianthe answered "But my queen, this reveal has been planned for almost seventeen years-" "No spirit reveal" Ianthe repeated herself as Lye still felt confused "...yes, my queen" Lye answered, crossing out the words 'Light Spirit Reveal' off her list. "...the Light Stone is also in need of checking over" Lye hesitantly continued as both her and the queen started walking again "May I interrupt you again, Lye?" "Of course my queen" Lye answered, looking up at the woman. "Put forward my request to interview each guard angel involved in last year's falling and to see both Uriel and Michael" Ianthe requested as Lye's eyes widened a little, even more confused and now worried "M-may I ask 'why?' my queen" Lye quietly asked "Because this action has been put off to the side for a little over a year now... it's time that the rightful punishment is set" Ianthe answered.
